Swing in the front yard under a century old beautiful live oak tree. Rustic antique furniture and memorabilia decorate the entire living area. History, romance, and relaxation are all awaiting you at Morning Star Guesthouse.
We stayed here over the weekend. So quiet and peaceful. We had everything w needed. Seeing the wildlife and the stars were awesome. We will definitely stay here again.
My wife and I were amazingly impressed with the MorningStar ranch! The seclusion and wildlife around the ranch were just wonderful, not a house or a person in sight. We felt like it was our own little place, we got in real late and that he was on for us so we can feel comfortable right away . The history on the place and the historical memorabilia were very nice touch. Everything was very clean and the bed was super comfortable, way better than some local hotel room. Just minutes away from Fredericksburg and an easy drive away from enchanted rock. Our host was very accommodating and timely and their responses, we will definitely be back !
We really enjoyed our stay. Fun to step back in time and stay in a place that has so much history.
Had a great time..far enough away from town to be peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely stay here again!
This historic cabin reminded us of visiting our grandmothers. It was a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable. The gigantic bathtub surrounded by candles was a great place to unwind. At night, you can see stars, deer and cattle moving about. If you enjoy a ranch atmosphere, this is the place.
The cabin is 5 minutes from Main Street. It offers easy access to shopping and restaurants. We will definitely choose this location again.
I honestly don't normally write negative reviews unless we have just a really bad experience. Unfortunately that is what we had at Morning Star Guest House. First of all, if anyone has a bad dust allergy, do not stay here! My sister and I couldn't breath all weekend! It doesn't look like the place has been dusted in years. We took pictures to show. Along the floor boards, the furniture and even the couch was so dusty and dirty.
We planned this trip for my moms 74th birthday and let me say that this will be memorable trip and not in a good way. When we first arrived, there was cow poop everywhere in front of the house. The house is tiny...nothing like the pictures portray. The rugs have stains on them, there was leftover beer and half bottle of wine in the fridge with a wine stain in the fridge. The back door doesn't close completely and kept opening. The upstairs bedroom is terrible. My sister bummed her head on the 3ft door to enter. You literally have to bend down to get into the room. The room was very hot. There is a fan but you cannot control the temperature. Also, if you have to go the bathroom in the middle of the night you have to walk outside, go downstairs and walk into the main house. This cabin is not for more than 2 people. Needless to say we were very disappointed. We did ask for a discount on our stay but the owner said no. If you don't care about cleanliness and want to really rough it then this place is for you.
