!!!!!!!NOTE!!!!!!!!!!! OFF SEASON SPECIAL FOR TWO GUESTS!!!!! $99/ NIGHT!!!!!!(two night Minimum , non holiday.) See other special rates off season for up to six guests below. Must CALL to reserve. Mike after 4PM at 518 891-4115. Ideally situated on prestigious Upper Saranac Lake, 'The premier lake of the Adirondacks.' Our home sits at the lake's widest part where you can see almost two miles across to the other side with a great High Peaks view in the background. There is a beautiful island you can see in front of us that once belonged to one of our vice presidents, who built an Adirondack Great Camp there. You can view this all from our private little cove where the shoreline is shallow and sandy bottomed or from the house which is only 20' from waters edge!

The private attached wing you are renting is approximately 1,400 square feet on two levels and is very nicely furnished with antiques and art. The three bedrooms all have private baths (two queens and a twin), a full eat in kitchen with all necessary equipment, living room with satellite TV, stone fireplace, stereo/VCR, and laundry room with washer and dryer. (All linens, towels, pillows, and blankets are provided, along with all the books and games you could ever use.)

Outside there is a boathouse dock that can accommodate any size boat you may bring, a large deck on top of the boathouse, another deck outside your living room, a swim platform/float in the lake, a grill for cooking, picnic table, campfire area, and a provided canoe or kayak.

In our immediate vicinity there is located the 25,000 acre St. Regis Wilderness canoe area, the famous Saranac Inn Golf Course, numerous High Peak hiking trails, mountain biking, remote pond trout fishing, cross country ski trails, and direct snowmobile access to New York's main corridor. We are 10 minutes from Saranac Lake and 25 minutes from Lake Placid.

Please come and enjoy our lush forested High Peaks and countless jewels - like lakes in the very center of the continental United States 'largest' park. Our resident golden retriever is ready to greet you too! Our high season rate June 1 - October 15 is $1795/ week. NOTE: WE RUN LAST MINUTE SPECIALS ALL THE TIME OFF SEASON (OCTOBER 15 THRU JUNE 1 ). ONLY $99/NIGHT FOR 2, $150/NIGHT FOR 3-4, $200/NIGHT FOR 5-6. CALL MIKE 518 891 4115. No Emails please. Heck, you will pay more for a local motel room !!!!

active buiding canoes and adirondack rustic style furniture on property. Our two dogs always expect a daily forest walk on one of over 50 trails within 15 minutes. This is really Gods country up here.

Why Mike please call after 4pm 518 891-4115 chose Adirondacks

We have vacationed all over the world but have NOT found any area as unique and beautiful as here in the Adirondacks.

What makes this house unique

The state owns almost 50 % of our shoreline and a few large islands that you can boat/kayak/canoe to and walk or picnic by to your hearts content WITHOUT seeing even one posted sign. The state as well owns almost 80% of our entire township !!!!!!!!! This is called Forest Preserve and has been constitutionaly protected for the enjoyment of NY citizens since 1894. This so-called 'Adirondack Park' contains about 6 million acres (we sit right in the middle) and is the largest park in the nation outside of Alaska. Not one tree has been cut in over 115 years. We have heritage strains of Brook Trout that are still in our ponds and streams that were here before the first natives settled the area............ Need I go on ?

Adirondack beauty!

  • 5 of 5

Five female kayakers, all 60 years old plus, could not have picked a better place to stay for three days in order to paddle the Adirondack waters. This home is located right on the shore of beautiful Upper Saranac Lake and comes supplied with all that you might need. As you enter the house, you walk up a short flight of stairs to a fully stocked kitchen, a master bedroom and bathroom, a warm living room with a gas fireplace to take away any chill, and another full bathroom. Walk down the stairs to two comfortable bedrooms and a full bath. It is the view that is amazing and owners Mike and Chris have created a variety of places to enjoy the water! Sit on the porch or by the firepit. Enjoy the seating at the dock. Better yet, climb the stairs of the boathouse and sit atop in Adirondack chairs (my favorite spot by far!) to enjoy the view of distant mountains or the starry night sky. If you paddle, this is the place for you. An easy put-in allows you to kayak for miles. You might see eagles, osprey, or other wildlife as well as many of the Adirondack great camps. Just a short hop down the road is the famous Wildlife Center at Tupper Lake -- an absolutely first-class museum of the Adirondacks. Saranac Lake and Lake Placid are also nearby with skiing, hiking and world-class restaurants. The house is clean, comfortable, and complete with anything you might need. Definitely five stars!

You will not find better than this! I swear!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have been going to the Adirondacks every year since I can remember, and we always stay at a different rental place. Until now! Mike and Chris have the most lovely home, in a perfect, private location. There is no where else to stay where you have 3 full baths, 3 gorgeous bedrooms, a full kitchen (stocked with all the necessities, no less!), a gorgeous living room with fireplace, huge deck, and access to boats/kayaks on a idyllic waterfront location for these prices. You literally cannot beat this - a boring hotel room for the week costs more! Not to mention the absolute wonderful owners - these people truly want your stay to be perfect and go out of there way to be sure it is. I can't say enough about this place and Mike and Chris. My family and I will never stay anywhere else again!

Perfect Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed at Michael's beautiful, cozy place over New Years Weekend. It is not far from Lake Placid, where we skated and took in some sights, and Whiteface, where we took to the slopes. And with the beautiful Saranac Lake in between, it is an ideal location. Michael was very accommodating and welcoming. The price cannot be beat. My kids were home from college so this was the perfect place for a great family getaway. I will certainly look forward to returning with my family.

We rented the guest house from 12/28 - 1/1 for a mini family reunion. What a great house in a beautiful location! The house is fully outfitted with anything you may need. Ski trails are nearby and the lake is right out front! We plan on doing it again!

Great Rental and Location

  • 5 of 5

Our week at this rental was fantastic! Three couples shared the property and we all had a great time. Two couples were avid kayakers and one was a powerboat fisherman. The rental was in excellent condition and the location right on beautiful Upper Saranac Lake with a dock for the boat and a deck for relaxing and taking in the view was wonderful. Owners Mike and Chris were very helpful with recommended kayak and fishing information and made us feel right at home. Highly recommended !

A wonderful experience!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was one we will never forget! At last minute, my family and I decided to go on a trip, but we were unsure of where to go. We viewed VRBO'S listing for vacation rentals in the Adirondacks and this beautiful home popped up. It was right on the water and absolutely beautiful. I was able to contact the owners directly which was nice not to go through a "third party." Mike and Chris seemed very kind, and helpful, so I booked our vacation. Upon arrival we were greeted by Mike, who said if we needed anything, just to let him know. Mike and Chris were very kind during our stay and helped with good fishing areas and places to hike on flat land. My children and I were treated like family and and that is something we have never felt while on a vacation. In the house, all of the "little things" you would normally need to bring on vacation with you were already provided. It was a glorious time, and we will definitely be going back! You will not regret booking this vacation rental!! Our many thanks go out to Mike and Chris, for making our stay so memorable. :)
