Perfect For Snowbirds, Families & Couples! It is rare to find a rental home that is as nice as this one!
We love the Gulfport area and decided to build a new home to capture the charm of vintage bungalows with the modern amenities of a new home. We are thrilled with the way it turned out!
An unusual series of events led me to this house but the results have been extraordinary. The house is lovely, well designed and my favorite feature is the light over the dining table. Being able to walk to 'the action' in Gulfport was my #1 criteria and this house is in the perfect location. It is also a quick drive to beaches and St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Ft. Desoto, etc. This has turned out to be a month long girls' slumber party with most of the fun happening during the day!! I have had friends visit from Kansas City, Oklahoma, Phoenix and North Carolina. Everyone was charmed by the town, Stella's, Pia's, O'Maddy's etc. & of course BoTiki (just ask for Grace). I hope to be here next year for more exploration and fun.
This vacation was perfect! We had a much needed rest from our hectic life. The house was perfect in every way. We had absoutley everything we needed for a fun time. The house was beautiful and comfortable. We used the grill and enjoyed the patio too.
We were close to restaurants and shops and were able to walk only a couple of blocks to the ocean and everything we needed. Mangia Gourmet was a great find. I enjoyed their soup and salad.
We visited St. Petersburg too. They city was only a short car ride away. We visited the Dali Museum and were so happy to see the Frida Kahlo exhibit. This museum is not to be missed if you have the time. The water front was fun to visit too. We had lunch by the water. There is so much to do here that we will need to return to see it all!
Thank you Jim and Christine for a wonderful visit to Gulfport!
It would be a mistake for you not to select this property as your vacation home. This is a very comfortable and safe location to enjoy your vacation. It is in very close proximity to the beach which will encourage you to go for a walk each day. There are many cute shops within the community. The home itself is equipped perfectly with all of the necessary amenities you will need. The property is very well maintained and very clean. I will definitely opt to stay at this property again if need be.
Although the pictures are very accurate -- we were still blown away when we entered the house as it is very clean, well decorated and has a wonderful floor plan. (My husband told me I'd "done good" in finding it:) The owners have provided some unique enhancements like lighting that automatically turns on and dims for night lights and/or when you enter the house at night, an electronic lock on the front door and a wonderful step-in shower with on demand hot water heater. Appliances, dishes, pots and pans, towels and sheets were all top shelf. Wireless internet performed perfectly (even better than ours at home).
The location is ideal as it is just a couple of blocks to all the shops and some great restaurants in Gulfport and to the park, pier and beach. You can park your car in the home's garage and leave it there while you enjoy Gulfport. We were fortunate to arrive on the "First Friday" of the month where various craft vendors set up along Beach Boulevard (2 blocks away) and the Farmer's Markets on Tuesdays were also a unique aspect of our visit.
If you have children, there is a huge fenced back yard for them to enjoy. There is also a neighborhood cat "Jeffrey" who was a delight even to this non-cat lover. He was unobtrusive but friendly with a once a day visit to the front porch where he seemed to say "Hello". You found yourself wondering "Where's Jeffrey?" if you didn't see him that day and "Goodbye Jeffrey" when we left. .
We hope to stay in this lovely home on our next visit to Gulfport and highly recommend it to anyone!
Thank you Christine and Jim. We could not have had better and more comfortable accommidations.
Nothing was overlooked. I stopped by the Gulfport Chamber and let the lady know that your Bungalow was an asset to the city.
Hopefully we can return for another stay.
Jerry,Bill,Dennis ,Lisa and Judy.
A beautiful, well equipped "home". We lacked for nothing while staying in the Gulfport Bungalow. Everything was provided and well thought out so that we felt like we had always lived there and at the same time felt like we were privileged that someone was letting us stay in their great place. Great location, with restaurants and shops in walking distance, yet without it being a busy neighborhood. We felt like part of the neighborhood and the local good food and drinks helped. Very enthusiastic about our stay and hope very much to return.
