Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday home in Saint Augustine - Quarterman Cottage

2 Bedroom 800 sq ft cottage

Charming Quarterman Cottage is an 800 square foot house with 2 queen bedrooms and 1 bathroom that is located on historic Bernard Street in downtown St. Augustine. Built in 1903 and recently updated, this cottage offers the perfect St. Augustine experience for any visitor of any age. Wonderful screened porch on the rear of the house that looks out into the private backyard is a great place to enjoy the temperate northern Florida weather with dinner, drinks, and friends.

You will find that you are perfectly positioned to enjoy all that the Old City has to offer without ever getting into your car. The closest major attraction is the Mission of Nombre De Dios & La Leche Shrine that is at the east end of Bernard Street. You will find many locals walking their dogs, drinking coffee, and watching the sunrise there in the mornings, as we love to enjoy our own city as much as you will enjoy it. Even some of the furthest downtown attractions, like the Dow Museum of Historic Homes, is only a 20 minute walk from Quarterman Cottage. Quarterman Cottage is perfectly positioned in Uptown between historic Downtown and North City. If you walk east to San Marco from Quarterman Cottage, you will see Mission of Nombre De Dios & La Leche Shrine directly in front of you. If you turn right (south) on San Marco, you will walk through the antique uptown district and back in time to historic downtown St. Augustine. If you turn left (north), you will find the original Fountain of Youth, the Old Jail, and other beautiful, traditional historic Florida monuments.

Amazing historic property near downtown!

  • 5 of 5

This property was beautiful and so close to downtown St. Augustine. I stayed here with my mom and sister and loved every minute of it. This home was so close to everything. I loved how clean this home was. It also had toilet paper, pots/pans, dishes, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect layout; perfect location; great price!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is located less than a mile from the downtown area, an easy walk with lots of little shops and restaurants along the way. We had Sunday brunch at the Raintree Restaurant, just up the block and there is a convenience store about 2 blocks away - park your car and walk or bike wherever you need to. We loved having a full sized kitchen; wi-fi; updated bathroom and shower; comfortable beds. Oh, and for your POKEMON GO fans, there are (2) poke stops right at the cottage!! We had a great time - I am recommending to my friend for her anniversary and we will definitely be back! Thank you!

Great find! Close to everything!

  • 5 of 5

The house is located in the heart of downtown. Just a short walk to shopping, etc. The owner was very quick to respond to my messages. The house is very clean and I am a very picky person! My mother is beyond hard to please and also commented on how clean the house was kept. Loved the shower! Nice and large and good water pressure. :-) The house has a very nice screened in porch in the back that is perfect to sit and unwind from a long day of walking. Thank you for having us stay in your rental!

Mount Dora, Florida

Absolutely Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

The owners were great to deal with - very easy to communicate with and quickly responded to any questions we had. This home is very clean (a big deal for me because I am a neat freak) and also very cozy. Located on a nice quiet street. It really was within walking distance to all of the main attractions (St. George Street Pedestrian Mall), the Colonial Quarter, Flagler College etc. I think it only took us about 8 - 10 minutes (at the most) to walk to these attractions. The home has two bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed. We only used one of the bedrooms and I must say that the bed was very comfortable. Nice bed linens and plush bathroom towels, bottled water in the fridge, coffee for the mornings....we will definitely stay here again!

Great little house

  • 4 of 5

Loved this cute little house, it was perfect for our family and we enjoyed being able to cook instead of being stuck in a hotel room. We walked everywhere in downtown St Augustine. We were here for the festival of lights, which I highly recommend. Thanks for sharing your home with us, we hope to be back next time we are in St Augustine.
