About the property

Farmhouse, 7 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 13-16)

Experience the tranquility of your very own PRIVATE VERMONT FARMHOUSE ESTATE nestled in its own 156 ACRES OF UNSPOILED LAND with breathtaking views of beautiful Mount Mansfield! We invite you to relax and enjoy our spacious and tastefully furnished 4400 sq. ft. 15 ROOM Farmhouse and let its elegant charm and beauty re-energize you with hope and optimism and take you back to a time when life was simple.

From the expansive deck, you can see wildlife meandering through your open fields, the quiet beauty of nature surrounding you and plenty of nearby Vermont winter sports awaiting your arrival! PERFECT FOR HUNTERS! By night, thousands of stars sparkle across the sky on a heavy blanket of white snow! The full moon rising is an unforgettable event.

Just inside the Farmhouse from the deck, the warmth from a crackling Soapstone Fireplace awaits you. The completely refurbished Farmhouse boasts 7 bedrooms (5 with queen beds, 1 with two twin beds and 1 with one twin bed) and 3 bathrooms large enough to accomodate up to 16 people very comfortably. All bedrooms are completed with antique beds, top of the line Vera Wang mattresses and finished with carefully chosen quilts, crisp white linens, extra pillows, bureaus and reading lamps.

From the upstairs bedrooms, take a walk down the open wooden staircase and upon entering the 'great room' the eye is drawn to the beautiful large planked floors, and exposed hand-hewn ceiling beams. Decorated with elegant (but not too fussy) country furnishings, plenty of sturdy rocking chairs, and the 52' FLAT SCREEN cable TV, this room is the perfect place to catch up on your favorite sports or a good movie. For those who aren't TV lovers, two other living rooms are available for conversation, reading, or a game of chess.

The expansive and newly appointed Farmhouse kitchen is complete with double convection oven, oversized Subzero refrigerator, dishwasher, and beautiful custom built pickled maple cabinetry. The kitchen is open to a large dining area which boasts a farmhouse table large enough to accomodate up to 16 people overlooking the Farmhouse, it's rolling hills and Mount Mansfield! The dining area also provides a Farmhouse sideboard/hutch complete with flatware, place settings, napkins and table linens, wine glasses, mugs, and a few other items necessary for your simple, or formal, dining needs. Our Farmhouse is complete with all bed linens, towels, washer and dryer, and a few extras. You need only bring your clothes and other personal items!

Head outside for a wonderful day of hiking to the top of your own mountain, or sitting waterside of your own on-site wading area and waterfalls! Settle down with a picnic near the water, lounge in the hammock for a lazy day nap in the summer, or go sledding with your family followed by a hot cup of cocoa or your favorite brew!!

While our Farmhouse is quiet and private, consider snowmobiling, we are near the VAST snowmobile trails! Also, our farmhouse is well-suited for hunting groups, and many other outfitters are available for various outdoor activities, including dog-sledding, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, sleigh rides, and snowmobiling. The Farmhouse is located approximately 20 minutes from Smugglers Notch ski area, 25-30 minutes to Jay Peak Ski Resort, 1 hour from Montreal, and 1 hour from Burlington. Just ask and we'd be more than happy to help make your plans. If you prefer other activities, we recommend local winerys for wine tastings, small cafe's, delis and other eateries, Fall corn maze, many Antique shops, Vermont products, golf courses within 5 minutes, various local artisans, and Art gallery. Most recently a local artisan and family business is now offering fresh made goats milk cheese, and Goats Milk Soap. Stop in to see the goat cheese production process and enjoy a wonderful conversation with a great family!

Perfect for everyone

  • 5 of 5

We had 13 people with us and it as great for everyone. The younger ones could run around and ride their bikes while the rest of us sat on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountains. The farmhouse is so spacious that everyone has space without feeling cramped. All the bedrooms are very spacious and it was nice that most of them had window air conditioning units as it was quite hot and muggy when we were there. The three bathrooms, 2 with showers and 1 with a tub, meant no one had to wait for a bathroom. The two living rooms were comfortable with room for everyone plus some extra family that lived near by when they stopped in. The kitchen was well equipped and we never ran out of dishes or glasses. The big dining table was great, it held everyone and then some for meals and card games.

We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings, and the swimming hole in the hot afternoons. There is lots to do in the area and lots of beautiful countryside to explore as well as the eastern townships of Quebec are just across the border.

The farmhouse made our family reunion a memorable event and we hope to be back.

Fabulous Farmhouse

  • 5 of 5

The owner has a real hidden gem with this farmhouse in Enosburgh. We loved it. From the moment you walk into the updated kitchen and notice the attached deck, you can tell the property is special. The rest of the sun filled home unfolds offering fun surprises for kids and adults such as a pool table, foosball table, multiple living rooms and endless bedrooms with window AC units upstairs. Period pieces decorated the living spaces and we found it (young) kid friendly without sharp edges around the hearth and no choking hazards at kid level.

Bathrooms were pretty good and with 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs. There was barely a wait even with 5 families with kids staying at the house. Laundry was available and we used it after a day at the PumpHouse water park at JayPeak Resort (~30mins away).

The sprawling outdoor area had a great fire pit (loved the tractor wheel insert) for late night hangouts. The woodshed had plenty of firewood. The kids had a great time running around the yard and making all sorts of noise without bugging the neighbors - the goats didn't mind either... There was plenty of parking for 6+ vehicles. There's a grocery store about 10 mins away and within a 30 min drive you can find endless hikes and great little Vermont towns.

The property was professionally cleaned when we arrived with fully stocked linens and kitchen tools. We had a great time and would recommend this property to all friends and family!

Lovely gathering spot for 40th birthday

  • 5 of 5

Celebrating my husband's 40th with friends and family at the Farmhouse was a lovely experience. The space offered allowed for the kids to have their own space and the adults to enjoy meals and games. The space was very clean and provided all the amenities we needed. We would recommend this property and hope to return in the future to explore the surrounding property! Thank you, Angela, for a very positive experience!

great for family get-together

  • 4 of 5

Lots of room, lovely location and the home is perfect for a large family get-together. It's pretty but not pretentious. Expect some quirks in outlets and light switches - it's an old farmhouse - and bring your own dish/laundry soap. Beds and living rooms are very comfortable, kitchen is large and pretty well outfitted. Could have used a book of instructions, e.g. how to use gas fireplace in living room, how to manage trash/recycling, where extra TP/paper towels might be (or to bring our own). It's not the kind of place you feel like it's fancy - feels like home.
