Perfectly Located

  • 5 of 5

I don't have much to add to the earlier reviews for this fantastic property. We were there over Christmas break with our family of six adults and three kids. The bedroom/bathroom arrangement seemed custom made for us, and the living areas very congenial and great for family socializing after skiing all day. The house is very close to the town sledding hill, just uphill across French Street. It should not be missed. Although the place is very nice and was absolutely clean on our arrival, it is getting a little tired and could really use some refurbishing. The lighting is dismal, due to the absurd choice of low wattage light bulbs. Really. The mattresses are in need of replacement, but the linens were nice. There were plenty of towels. We appreciated the good wi-fi. We did not have a car, but with the awesome Free Bus system, didn't need one, ever. It's a seven minute walk to the Quicksilver lift, and only 15 minutes to the Gondola, or you can walk 5 minutes to one of two bus stops to go to the Gondola or Beaver Run. The house is not friendly for folks with mobility issues, as it's pretty stairway intensive. That being said, it was nice to be able to come in on ground level with snowy boots and leave skis and snowboards in the garage. A property manager can make or break a property, and Elizabeth and Carla were superb. Thank you ladies.

Superb Location for Skiing Breck

  • 5 of 5

We had a family of nine for our ski vacation. Victorian Ridge is in a great location, only a five minute walk from the Quicksilver Express Chair on Peak Nine, and a three minute walk to two different bus stops that will take you to Breck Station and the Gondola for Peaks 7 & 8. We did not have a car, and never felt the lack. The chi-chi grocery/liquor store is a block away, and Main street the same. Everything in the property worked, but it is getting a little tired. I wouldn't go so far as to say shabby, but it does need some attention. That being said, it was clean when we got there. Each bedroom has its own bath which was nice. The wi-fi was surprisingly fast, for downloads anyway. The washer and dryer are pretty quiet and worked well, as did all the kitchen appliances. We appreciated the garage entrance on ground level, as it meant we did not have skis and snowboards in the house. We were never aware of the people in adjoining properties. Either they were super quiet, or the building is very well sound-insulated. The management company was on the ball and responded quickly and positively to any issues/queries. The property is certainly NOT ADA compliant, so if you don't deal well with stairs, forget it.

Owner's Response: Thank you for this very detailed review. Your descriptions are wonderful..thank you for your insight and reflections of the property! We think this location is superb with a large group, too, as everyone is so close to everything in town and skiing/boarding. Thank you, especially for pointing out the stairs...a trick we tell our guests is...DROP OFF stuff thru the kitchen door (in the back), then you are not doing stairs to bring things up. (There is a drive in the back of the building, but you cannot park back there). - iTrip Vacations Breckenridge Team

Great house for a crowd on the move!

  • 5 of 5

We had a full crew (11 adults) and the house worked great for everyone! Plenty of beds to sleep in and showers to get us cleaned up between mountain sports and dinner just a walk away into town. The breakfast bar and dining table layout was great for hanging out indoors and the outdoor patio was the perfect place to relax after getting home from the bars. Our van was too big to fit into the garage with its roof rack but parking in front of the house worked fine (once we moved away from the neighbors stairs.) Late check in and check out processes worked flawlessly! I took some pics to send to my fiancee of the amazing master bedroom and bathroom in case we come back with a more romantic group.

Breckenridge Summer Trip

  • 4 of 5

Great location, easy access to amenities. Comfortable, plenty of restrooms and space to spread out. House could have used some more basic essentials (ie. trash bags, dish washing liquid, dish towels) but overall a comfortable property. Limited parking with only two spots and we did receive a complaint from the person downstairs that we were parked to close to her stairs.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Breck and walk around the town this is a great property.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review...very important to reiterate that in our listings and advertisements we mention that we provide a "starter set" of paper/bags/soap products (including laundry soap)...enough for 2 or 3 nights, usually. If you think that you may need more, you may need to purchase or bring with you. This is usually standard in the industry, and if a property offers more, then it is usually mentioned in the listing. Also, we do post the map for exactly where to park when visiting on the Fridge, in the Guest Portal Articles, and in the Guest Book in the Unit. Parking in Breck can sometimes get tight and we are fortunate to have 2 spots right off of S. Main Street! Thanks! iTrip Vacations - Breckenridge Team

Summer Getaway

  • 4 of 5

We've been going to Breck for the last few summers. It's a great getaway from the heat of Kansas City in the July. Previously, we've stayed on the north side of town, and the south side of town. This year, we decided to stay 'in town'.

Victorian Ridge is in a terrific location. One block east of Main St makes it an easy walk to get anywhere in town. Including short bike rides to the swimming pool at the community center or the gondola. No worries about traffic or parking. Also a short walk to the grocery/liquor store.

The house is very comfortable. The master is very roomy with shower that has a mountain view. Yes, a mountain view. The other two bedrooms are well appointed and have direct access to full bathrooms.

The main floor living area is very comfortable with room for all. A nice big dining table for eating or gaming. A living room to relax, and a kitchen with breakfast bar. And the main floor also has the fourth full bathroom.

We truly enjoyed our week at Victorian Ridge.
