Your Ski Home Away From Home
Finch Vacation House is a legally licensed #2491C, in the Cottonwood Heights City. This will eliminate the possibility of the City removing you from an unlicensed ski rental. Located only 20 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from 4 major ski areas, this 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home can sleep 8 depending on how you use the beds. The home features a spacious living room with gas fireplace, 42' flat screen with Xfinity cable, DVR, VCR, DVD, stereo with many videos and DVD's. The kitchen comes with most of the things you will find in your own home kitchen and is fully equipped with many staples, dishes and cooking utensils for 8 or more. Also available is a BBQ, and Formen grill. A large grocery store across the street, and liquor store 2 blocks down the street. The bedrooms are comfortable with the master bedroom having a Queen bed, shower bathroom, and a washer and dryer. Bedroom 2 is also a Queen bed. Bedroom 3 is a double futon with a twin bunk and has a TV with cable and VCR. A roll away bed is also available from this room. There is also a hid-a-bed in the living room couch. There is a full bath with bath and shower. A private hot tub is in the backyard. A piano and guitar are available for you to play and enjoy. Many board games are there for your entertainment. High Speed Internet is available. Come join us with a group of your friends or family while you ski or vacation in Salt Lake City. Children are welcome and crib and high chair available.

20 years ago When we set up the Finch Vacation House we tried to provide everything that we could think of to make your stay easy and fun. During our travels we rented places that were suppose to be 'furnished' only to find no pots and pan, salt and pepper , or any of the other staples necessary to be comfortable. We have fixed this problem.
Everything you need is located in this neighborhood. There is a grocery store just across the street. A licquore store about a block away. Ski Rental are located both up and down the Fort Union. Many resturants of all types form fast food to fine dining and all in between.
We have been doing Short term Vacadtion Rentals for the past 16 years. We have met many wonderful people and have had many satdisfied customers. We hope you will join us and be one of thoes guests.
Cozy, loaded with thoughtful details, spacious, and perfect location. We loved our ski vacation stay at Finch House.
The location was ideal - easy access to Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons and the associated ski resorts: Brighton, Solitude, Alta, and Snowbird. Spent most of our time at Brighton, thirty minutes front door to slopes. Every amenity needed is within blocks of the house - groceries, drug store, gas, massage, restaurants, sledding hill. Freeway access is also within blocks.
House itself wants for nothing. Big backyard for playing, hot tub, kitchen stocked with every possible cooking utensil/equipment, cozy beds, gas fireplace, nice bathrooms, ski racks for hanging up skis, great washer/dryer. Thoughtful details in place throughout from the sheets on the beds to the soft, fluffy bath mats, to loads of board games. If you can think of it, it's here.

The location for my husband and son was perfect for snowboarding at Brighton. The home and furnishings were old but clean. Had many extras including anything you could imagine to cook with. Our only concern was the owners lived in the basement, which was never noted on the website pertaining to the rental. We felt they came into the home a couple times while we were out which was a bit disturbing. They were very nice people!
This unit is on a busy street, but entry and exit are not so hard owing to the timing of traffic lights. The upstairs part of the home is the rental, and the homeowners live downstairs. They are wonderful people who care totally about your comfort and accommodation.
The apartment is right out of the 1960s, and the cupboards are stocked with herbs, spices, and just about every type of cooking pot, pan, etc. you could ever imagine needing. The fridge is also stocked with salad dressings, coffee, etc. There is no need to bring staples as all are provided.
There is a big TV with DVD, BlueRay, cable, and a big assortment of videos. Master bedroom has a private bath and shower, and two other bedrooms share a bath.
Dan's supermarket is across the street, and Whole Foods is just a block away.
Absent traffic the drive to Alta is about 25 minutes. The bus to Snowbird/Alta stops about a block away, but we have not taken it.
We've stayed at 2088 something like 8 times and we keep coming back. It is not luxury, but it is homey and comfortable and you will be taken care of by the wonderful owners. If you arrive around Christmas you might get a surprise visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus!
Our hosts delivered as advertised! The ski resorts were no more than 30 minutes away. Roads, walkways and sidewalks were cleared after a few inches of snow. Kitchen was stocked with staples and all kinds of kitchen appliances, utensils and cooking needs were there and used by my family. Conveniently located are Dan's Grocery, Snider's Meat Market, restaurants (the Blue Lemon was our first dinner out-great food) and ski rental places. David and Beth were friendly, providing answers to any questions. Definitely recommended for families looking for a comfortable place to stay for a ski vacation. Bus line to ski resorts are near. We didn't try the buses, but it was nice to know the option was there.
Our stay was great. We were in town visiting family and the location was perfect. At first I was concerned that perhaps the street might be too busy for children but it did not prove to be an issue at all. The house was very comfortable and everything needed was provided. Especially appreciated the room set up for children. Our bunch pretty well "holed up" there. All of the extras provided were very appreciated, right down to the straws! That is something that I never think of at home and always is such a big deal for the kids. The owners were great and readily available if needed. We really enjoyed our most comfortable stay and would definitely stay again. Thank you so much.
David and Beth were great...they were very helpful with local attractions, restaurants and grocery stores. Dan's grocery is right across the street and make sure to go to Snider's meat market...they have excellent meats that you can take back and cook at Finch house. Would definitely stay here again.
IN The Summer
In the summer there is beautiful sight seeing and outdoor recreation, with hiking and climbing just up the street. The High Uhintas, a designated wilderness area, is only 60 minutes away. Come play with us and enjoy our hospitality.
