Giuseppe purchased this Townhome in 2014
Why Giuseppe chose Ostuni
It's a charming and cozy little studio in the 18th century district. Like most houses in the district, it was built completely in stone which helps to keep it cool in the summer. Recent renovations (2014) added much needed modern comfort like a kitchen and a modern shower.
What makes this Townhome unique
Being steps from Ostuni's main piazza and the medieval centre and surrounded by all amenities, yet on a cul-de-sac street which means quiet and very little traffic.

A little bit of magic under the stars
We booked this amazing apartment on the strength of the first photo in the profile and we were not disappointed. The stand-out features of Casa Dei Fiori are the terrace and the sun deck and this is where we spent many of our waking hours while in Ostuni.
Giuseppe was a brilliant host and his warm welcome and expert local knowledge enhanced our stay in this lovely little Italian town. We tried many of his recommendations for places to eat and drink and they were all all good picks, with cocktails at the Mona Lisa being the pick of the crop.
The apartment was well equipped and comfortable for two adults and there was everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, especially the air conditioning in the bedroom.
From the photos it looks like you can reach out and touch the old centre of the city- and you almost can. The main piazza is less than five minutes away and that is your gateway to the ancient heart of the city. The medieval town walls will stop you from getting seriously lost, so just take your time and explore. Restaurants in alley ways, cocktail bars on stairways, cafes everywhere; you will never tire of things to see or places to eat - or drink.
There is a well stocked mini-market just metres from the house and other specialist shops and supermarkets in various parts of the town.
If you want to venture further afield the hill top town of Cisternino is pretty and has breathtaking views of the plains below, while Alberobello is an amazing warren of traditional 'Trulli' dwellings that you have to see to believe. You are only a short drive from the sea, with a range of full-service beaches and small sandy coves to choose from.
We combined a visit to Monopoli in the morning with an afternoon's swimming and sunbathing at the beach. I would also recommend a visit to the excavations at Egnazia where you can explore the Roman and pre-Roman history of the area.
Ah, but that terrace! A warm night, a bottle of local wine... and the stars.
Thank you for the magical review. It's always a pleasure to know that my guests enjoyed their stay and that I had some part in it. The rooftop terrace was redone early this year, and I am very happy that you enjoyed and appreciated it along with the rest of the apartment.
Ostuni is indeed charming and magical as you described; it is also very well-situated to explore the surrounding areas.
I sincerely hope that you can come back and stay at Casa dei Fiori again in the near future.
The house was built in the 17th century and has a lot of issues that those houses have - small space, very steep stairs with low roof and uneven risers - but Giuseppe and Daniel have done a fantastic job in fitting it out as a holiday rental. Lots of nice touches maximise the space and make the house a home from home. The dedicated parking was really appreciated as parking near the house was practically impossible when we were there during peak season.
Perfect - close to beaches, within comfortable driving distance from Valle d'Istria, Lecce and for a longer drive, Matera. Centrally located so easy access to shops, restaurants, cafes etc.
If Carlsberg did hosts....... Giuseppe and Daniel were probably the best holiday hosts we have had, very keen to ensure we had a good time. They were always accessible by phone or messaging and gave lots of good advice about everything we needed in the area.
Overall we had a great holiday in Casa dei Fiori and are planning on returning.
Thank you for your kind review, Jim.
It is always a pleasure to learn that our guests had a great holiday while staying at one of our properties. The property you stayed in, Casa dei Fiori, as you mentioned was originally built several centuries ago, so even though it's been carefully renovated with modern amenities and requirements, it does maintain some quirks from the period. However, we are happy that you found it very comfortable and felt like at home.
Ostuni is very busy in August, that's why we offer the private parking spot exclusively for our guests. This is the first year that it is offered, and we are glad that you found it useful.
It was a real pleasure having both of you at Casa dei Fiori. We look forward to welcome you back at your home away from home in Ostuni.

Beautiful little Town House and amazing Ostuni
From the moment we arrived in Ostuni we fell in love with the city. From the moment we arrived and walked through those little doors to the cute little town house, we fell in love. The house we could not fault. Giuseppe welcomed us like an old friend and showed us all about the city, the beaches and places to go and eat and drink. He did not fail. The house is on 2 floors and then leads up to 2 roof terraces which over looks the sea (in the distance) and the town. You can hear the bells from the churches all day which is charming. You get the sun all day. We brought local produce and cooked for 3 nights, so facilities were small and compact but that was fine for us and produced some great pasta dishes. Little touches made us feel at home. You have everything you need in this house to make your holiday as special as Ostuni. The beaches are about 10-15 min drive and you wont be disappointed, the sand is heaven and the tide is lapping on the shore. We did prefer the old town to the new town. Although the new town offers a great market. We even found a little flea market in old town to mooch around and brought a few trinkets to take home. We felt once we drove behind the white walls of Ostuni city, we fell into a little world of romance, culture and history. The house is right in the middle of the heart of the City, but noise will not disturb you which is surprising as you walk from the house down the little street, turn the corner and you are there! Busy buzzing Ostuni Old Town! The little piazzas, restaurants tucked away into little back streets, and most of all friendly welcoming people. We shall be returning next yr and not to somewhere else but back to this little gem. Parking by the house in peak times is interesting! Our vacation fell on a Bank Holiday which was very busy, so we decided to stay in Ostuni and not move the car, but that didn't matter as they had a festival on which was great fun with traditional stalls selling local delicacies and dance. We even embraced a Church service. If you want a holiday with everything rolled into one perfect vacation....this is the place to stay. Thank you Giuseppe for everything.
Thank you for the wonderful review. You have beautifully captured in words what makes Ostuni and Casa dei Fiori so special. Puglia in general, and Ostuni in particular is more than just a simple beach holiday destination. Here you find history, culture, excellent gastronomy and friendly locals seamlessly blend together to create an one-of-the-kind destination.
Casa dei Fiori is a special place to stay in Ostuni because of its location in the heart of the city and because it was designed to make you feel at home while you're staying at the house, and to not want for anything.
It was a real pleasure hosting you, and I sincerely hope to see you again in Ostuni next year (or even sooner!)
A wonderful warm welcome and great stay
Location; perfect. Right in the heart of the old town.
House: very clean and well equipped. Small but perfectly comfortable for two adults. Not suitable for those with mobility issues however as it has steep steps. However it did not bother us and kept us fit! The roof terraces are spectacular with their views right down to the coast.
Owner: delightful. Very efficient with our enquiries before arrival. Met us and escorted us to the house, showing us where to park. Excellent restaurant tips which we followed and had fantastic experiences. If you wish to experience authentic Puglian village life, this is the place. We were soon regulars at the cafe where we had breakfast and at our favourite restaurant to which we returned three times. Not to be missed is dinner in the restaurant attached to the fishmongers - great experience!
Ostuni is an idyllic and magical place.
Thanks for everything, Giuseppe. Roz and Julian.
Dear Roz and Julian,
Thank you so much for your glowing review of Casa dei Fiori.
I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay there. The house is of average size in Ostuni's 18th century district, but is decorated with just enough furnishing for your utter comfort in mind.
The roof terraces are what prompted me to buy this house, and I am thrilled that you also found them spectacular to enjoy the view of the medieval centre and the sea.
I personally enjoy meeting my guests and giving them advices on what to do, where to go and where to eat in and around Ostuni, and it gives me real pleasure to know that you also appreciated the places that I recommended.
Thank you again for choosing Casa dei Fiori. I hope to see you again soon in Ostuni.
Wir haben wunderschöne 10 Tage in Ostuni verbracht. Eine schöne zentral zur Altstadt gelegene Wohnung. Man findet alles was man braucht. Guiseppe steht jederzeit zur Verfügung für Informationen oder sollte man Hilfe benötigen.
Vielen Dank gerne wieder
´wir fühlten uns "Zuhause "
es war einfach perfekt. Gemütliches kleines Zuhause, geschmackvoll eingerichtet.
Super netter Gastgeber.
The house in located in Ostuni's 18th century district; it's known as Chianca de l'oro which is the second oldest after the medieval centre which is just across the piazza.
Its location is ideal since it's only 20 metres from Ostuni's main piazza, so you can easily go to the restaurants, cafes and bars around the piazza or the medieval centre and walk to your home after. No driving, no worries!
The neighbourhood is populated by locals, so it's an opportunity to experience Ostuni like one; get delicious bread from the local panificio, fruits and vegetables from the fruttivendolo, melt-in your mouth local cheese and prosciutto from the salumeria, etc. Puglia is of course famous also for the freshness of its seafood, and you can find fishmongers in most corners in Ostuni to indulge in the bounty of the Mediterranean sea.
Ostuni's location is ideal for visits to other nearby destinations such as Cisternino, Bari, Lecce and the Salento, Ceglie Messapica, Martina Franca or Alberobello and the Itria Valley for its trulli.
