Pam Liberty purchased this house in 1994
I built this home when I was pregnant with my oldest (now in college) because of the peaceful beauty of the location. While close to town, this home is out in the unspoiled desert, surrounded by saguaros and mesquite. The solar heated pool and Coleman hot tub, hidden in an outcropping of natural rock, will be waiting for you when you get home. You can sit on the porch swing and watch the lights of downtown and the UA begin to sparkle as the sun sets. Look for wildlife of all desert varieties.
This home has been lovingly cared for and was built to maximize city views. It was constructed with 16-inch mud adobe block, has 13 feet ceilings, dyed cement floors and viga ceilings. It is a true Santa Fe with beehive fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom. There is a bonus media room for TV and Netflicks after a busy day. Tucson has been rated the best cycling city in America by Cyclist Magazine and Adobe Ranch is locate on a popular biking route and within biking distance of awe-inspiring mountain and road bike trails. The weather is hot in the summer and temperate year round. Tucson still has not lost its Old West feel. The pool is surrounded by colorful, low-water desert shrubbery such as lantana and bougainvillea. There is a ramada on the highest part of the land for an evening cocktail. You will definitely see desert wildlife, including coyote, roadrunners, javelina, quail and hawks.
It's not often that one gets to stay in a real southwestern Adobe, let alone one that offers modern conveniences. It's hard to pin down but architecturally this house is a gem where everything feels real. This is like a resort, really. Private, cool, calming, and very comfortable. The pool area is really well done, someone spent a lot of time getting this right. We stocked up on food and felt not much reason to leave - the perfect escape. Pamela was gracious when we contacted her and the whole experience felt like we were well taken care of. It was a wonderful three days that could have been a week, maybe it was - we kind of lost track to be honest. Thank you!
My husband and I took a long weekend away from Phoenix to unwind and relax and the Romantic Adobe home was the perfect place. The home is warm, welcoming, relaxing, and has everything you need. We highly recommend staying at the Romantic Adobe!
We were so glad we decided to stay here near Gate's Pass. It was a great location- near to Speedway and downtown, and also near to Desert Museum and the sunsets at Gate's Pass. The house was super clean and had everything that we needed. The pool was big, clean, and cooled us off in the hot weather. We loved the adobe style of the house and furnishings. Great place to stay and highly recommended! Pam was great at communicating from start to finish- thanks for sharing your place!
We booked a week in June. Was monsoon season so was rainy first couple of days but found it peaceful. The pool was really nice as was the hot tub. Pam was respective of our privacy which was nice. We really enjoyed our stay, did not want to leave. Would book again most definitely.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the house -- it was near to Saguaro National Park and everything we needed was at the house. We especially liked the local style that the house had and all of the places to relax and enjoy the view, whether it was in the porch swing, hot tub or under the ramada! Thank you!
