Great way to see Florence

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was in a great location and was spacious and well equipped. We as a family really enjoyed our stay and access to all of the wonderful sites of Florence. It was large enough for complete comfort. I would highly recommend this spot for future visits.

Great place in the heart of Florence

  • 5 of 5

We (two couples) stayed here for three nights a couple weeks ago before embarking on a cruise. What a perfect place! The location is so perfect. It is really convenient to everything in Florence. The apartment is within a couple minutes of the Ufizzi and the Palazzo Vecchio. Within five minutes you are at the Ponte Vecchio, and in less than ten you are at the Duomo. We really couldn't have asked for a better location. It was also very convenient to an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants. The little place across the piazza (literally about twenty steps from the door) was great and a perfect spot for the last limoncello of the evening. Going left out of the door and another left at the first street, there is also the Antico Fattore restaurant, which had been recommended to us by a friend in Italy and was very good. The apartment itself is clean and well maintained. There were plenty of towels and space for the four of us. We didn't do any cooking or laundry in the apartment, but it was definitely well equipped if we had wanted to. There is an american coffee maker, and I had brought coffee from home so we could at least have the first cup before heading out for my morning espresso. The only "negative" comment I have about the place is that the lighting is a bit dim. Otherwise, we had no complaints at all. The owner, Diego, was great to deal with leading up to our stay. He promptly answered all my questions and provided lots of information in advance of our arrival. His associate, Alessandro, met us when we arrived, gave us the keys and went over all of the details of the apartment. I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

One of my favorite places to stay ever

  • 5 of 5

If this place meets your needs then stop looking and book it. It is very nice, the most convenient place, and has a great owner. My wife kept asking me where I found the place and asking me how much we paid.

First, it is so convenient it is difficult for me to fully express or for you to fully comprehend. But you will not find a better location. Anywhere. Imagine being able to stop by your apartment for 5 minutes after seeing the Uffizi, or the Palazzo Vecchio, or the Ponte Vecchio, or the Pitti Palace or Duomo. No problem - it is no more than a 5 minute walk to all of them. We had one of the most event filled days of our vacation, made easy by 4 stops at the apartment to get a drink use the bathroom, pick-up this or whatever.

The entrance is on a small virtually unused square, but no more than 20 steps from one of the great old streets of Florence - Via Lambertesca. The restaurants within 2 minutes of the place are fantastic. You should eat at all of them!

Inside the apartment is very nice and well appointed. It may be a little smaller than the pictures would indicate, but I would say it is nicer. You want for nothing and the Air Conditioning worked beautifully, which was good because it was hot!!!

Finally, the owner was so great to work with. What a pleasure. I recommend this place without reservation. If/when I return to Florence I will look to stay here again!

Thanks!

It’s all true!

  • 5 of 5

The previous reviews are all true, Diego is a fantastic host! He arranged to meet us at the time we chose to arrive and he arranged a 4:15am taxi for us when we departed… very much appreciated! He has a beautiful apartment with an unbelievable location which was clean, well stocked, and walking distance to everything you will want to see. The only issue that we encountered was that the Wi-Fi signal was weak in the back bedroom (not really a big deal at all).

I highly recommend downloading the VRBO/ HomeAway App. This was the best way I communicated with Diego prior to, and throughout my entire trip. Diego was very responsive to all my questions.

Florence felt safe, everyone spoke English, and you should have no worries about this location. For a great meal and experience, go see Mario at Ristorante Il Bargello. Just relax- eat a lot of pizza, pasta, and gelato and enjoy this beautiful city.

Best Location EVER!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 3 nights in this lovely little apartment. Right from the beginning, Diego was very helpful and always quick to respond to my questions. While the kitchen is small (and really, who wants to cook when there are so many great restaurants), I was impressed by how well equipped it was. The bedrooms were cozy and the bathrooms were well appointed with lots of hot water and good water pressure. The air conditioning was a welcome relief! As nice as the apartment was, it is the location that will make me return. Literally a 30 second walk to Piazza della Signoria and 5 minutes one direction to the Ponte Vecchio, 5 minutes in the other direction to the Duomo. The apartment is on a very small square so it is nice and quiet for sleeping. The Super Mercato which is just across the Ponte Vecchio is a great supermarket with everything you would need. It had an amazing deli/cheese/meat counter. We tried the restaurant (Buca Poldo) in our square because it was recommended in a couple of other reviews. You MUST eat there. We actually ate there twice. The Ravioli stuffed with mushrooms in truffle sauce was the best pasta dish I've ever had. My friend preferred the Ravioli "Buca Poldo" with asparagus. The staff were also great. They made our experience fun. We also enjoyed a morning coffee and pastry at Bar Perseo on Via dei Calzaiuoli just off of Piazza della Signoria. Another must while in Florence is the Carabe Gelateria on Via Ricasoli, 60, which is near the Galleria dell'Accademia (where David is). They make their own granite using fresh fruit, nothing like the stuff that comes out of the slushy machine found everywhere. It was recommended to me by a local and I make a point of going whenever I'm in Florence.

I highly recommend a stay at this apartment!

Most adorable house!

  • 5 of 5

Adorable house! Located centrally within city center. Walking distance to everything (would not suggest walking with luggage to or from the train station though 😁򐐩 The restaurant located in front of the home is delicious. WiFi worked great, password on the info paper is hard to understand with such an elaborate password, but it can be easily located on the WiFi router it's self. Diego has everything you need for a great stay including #''s to taxi services which was quite handy for our departure with luggage. Beds are comfortable, water pressure and hot water for showers were great. Outdoor patio area great for relaxing even in the rain. I would highly recommend! By far my favorite rental out of the 4 on my trip.
