Few steps to all you may desire while staying in Florence....
We spent 3 nights in this lovely little apartment. Right from the beginning, Diego was very helpful and always quick to respond to my questions. While the kitchen is small (and really, who wants to cook when there are so many great restaurants), I was impressed by how well equipped it was. The bedrooms were cozy and the bathrooms were well appointed with lots of hot water and good water pressure. The air conditioning was a welcome relief! As nice as the apartment was, it is the location that will make me return. Literally a 30 second walk to Piazza della Signoria and 5 minutes one direction to the Ponte Vecchio, 5 minutes in the other direction to the Duomo. The apartment is on a very small square so it is nice and quiet for sleeping. The Super Mercato which is just across the Ponte Vecchio is a great supermarket with everything you would need. It had an amazing deli/cheese/meat counter. We tried the restaurant (Buca Poldo) in our square because it was recommended in a couple of other reviews. You MUST eat there. We actually ate there twice. The Ravioli stuffed with mushrooms in truffle sauce was the best pasta dish I've ever had. My friend preferred the Ravioli "Buca Poldo" with asparagus. The staff were also great. They made our experience fun. We also enjoyed a morning coffee and pastry at Bar Perseo on Via dei Calzaiuoli just off of Piazza della Signoria. Another must while in Florence is the Carabe Gelateria on Via Ricasoli, 60, which is near the Galleria dell'Accademia (where David is). They make their own granite using fresh fruit, nothing like the stuff that comes out of the slushy machine found everywhere. It was recommended to me by a local and I make a point of going whenever I'm in Florence.
I highly recommend a stay at this apartment!
Adorable house! Located centrally within city center. Walking distance to everything (would not suggest walking with luggage to or from the train station though 😁 The restaurant located in front of the home is delicious. WiFi worked great, password on the info paper is hard to understand with such an elaborate password, but it can be easily located on the WiFi router it's self. Diego has everything you need for a great stay including #''s to taxi services which was quite handy for our departure with luggage. Beds are comfortable, water pressure and hot water for showers were great. Outdoor patio area great for relaxing even in the rain. I would highly recommend! By far my favorite rental out of the 4 on my trip.
Outstanding location and beautiful accommodations.
We were fortunate to have found this charming unit on Homeaway.
Bright, well appointed, beautifully renovated, comfortable beds, etc. with and excellent location!!!
If you are visiting Florence - look no further if your dates are available.
Diego - quick to respond and very easy to work with.
Thank you so very much!
The apartment is beautifully decorated. It is centrally situated and very convenient for all museums, galleries, churches, train station and many good restaurants as well as excellent shopping areas. It is clean, bright and has all that one requires. The owner was very helpful and informative. I would highly recommend this apartment. We will certainly return.
My husband and I, with another couple, enjoyed 3 wonderful days in Florence. This apartment is in a terrific location just steps away from the Ufizzi Gallery and the Ponte Vecchio, restaurants and shops are right outside the door. The apartment is beautifully designed and decorated and had every amenity available. We wished we had booked for a longer stay. I will definitely be returning to Florence and will book this apartment again.
We just stayed in Florence at this property Sept 4th thru Sept 12. First let me say the owner is the most pleasant person, the most responsive and helpful you can imagine. As two couples we had some airline issues arriving on time. We may have had some panic but the owner didn't. He kept in contact with us on the phone and we eventually arrived.
The apartment location is maybe 150 meters from Piazza della Signoria (and the Ufizzi). The Ponte Vecchio is 200 meters away. You can't get closer. There is a very nice Ristorante just outside the apartment door and the food is great.
The air conditioning works very well. We needed no heat.
The owner arranged the inside so that we had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two showers. The kitchen has every supply you would have in your own home, you will need nothing. There is a Super Mercato just across the Ponte Vecchio if you feel the need for coffee, breakfast food or anything else. You can even get an inexpensive bottle of Brunello (and you should). We have been a lot of places, hotels, apartments , B&Bs and this has to rate at the top.
We would go back in a heartbeat.
