About The Owner

We live in Minneapolis which is one reason we LOVE Key West! Jeff is a lawyer, I'm a writer, and we especially enjoy attending the Key West Literary Seminar in January.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2002

Winter in Minnesota!

What makes this cottage unique

We love our location and we love the cottage, which was completely renovated in 2002. We walk everywhere, don't have a car when in KW, and love the restaurants, architecture, seafood, live music, Cuban influence, art galleries, and Old Town.

Charming and Perfect in Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at the cottage this past summer and it could not have been more perfect! The location is ideal: close to the chaos of Duval, yet even closer to the tranquility of the marina. And since the building is tucked away in a 6 unit complex, it remains secluded and peaceful. The decor is charming, unique and so fitting for the island locale. The pool was a welcome respite on hot nights after a run, or lazy weekends out in the sun. We loved to spend the evenings walking around the marina for: people watching, excellent happy hours, beautiful sunsets, colorful fish and of course, the clear blue water. Afterwards, a nightcap on the side patio, listening to the swaying palms. Truly one of the greatest spots to stay on the island! The best part: the owners were simply amazing to coordinate with and extremely accommodating - they made everything SO easy! We immediately felt at home upon our arrival. You really only need to bring the necessities, for they have thought of all the lovely details. And the neighbors are all great, too. I highly, highly, highly recommend this cottage for couples who like to venture to close-by attractions on foot/bike and love to walk by the water!

What a find!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this "Charming Cottage" for the entire month of October of this year.(2012) Could not have made a better choice. It turned out to be exactly as described and had everything we needed. It definately is not a mega mansion where you'll be wandering from room to room (perfect for 1 or 2 people) but it doesn't matter because (and I don't think this was stressed enough in the descriptions and reviews) it's the LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. We were seldom home because we were so close (walking or bicycling distance) to everything and when we were home, we were at the pool area a few steps from the front door. If you've never been to Key West before you'll find you can go exploring every day and find new and interesting things to do and see. Staying in the middle of everything (like this house) is very important.

Also wanted to mention the owners and property managers are eager to help if you have a problem and another plus is that the neighbors and caretaker are usually around, keeping an eye on the compound, so you feel very safe.

Thanks for everything,

L & M

Sweet Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Perfect getaway for a single or a couple. One of six cottages in a small, beautifully maintained compound. Near the action, but private and quiet at night. Easy walk to Historic Seaport, Duval Street, Mallory Square and Fausto's grocery. Close to bus stops. Renovated cottage is small, but space is so well planned it feels and lives much larger. Very well furnished and decorated with lots of Key West art work. Owners are wonderful to work with -- they truly want their guests to enjoy their KW home. Open the front and back doors of this shotgun house and enjoy the tropical breezes. We already have our 2013 reservation and plan on many more.

Great Key West Escape

  • 5 of 5

This is a great little cottage in a wonderful location...walking distance to everything you could possibly want to do in Key West. It was exactly as represented...and even better....great use of space and very nicely finished and decorated. The property is pristine...very clean and well maintained. The owners were great to deal with. This is certainly a property we would recommend to friends and family. We have stayed here 4 times and would do so again.
