Great view and very quiet.

Really enjoyed the house overall. It was very clean. I wish there had been a TV in the bedroom with two beds. I also wish there had been some out door patio furniture like what was shown in the picture. The view is very pretty from the backyard and we enjoyed watching the hot air balloons, there was just no place to sit. Other than that, the kitchen is fully equipped and the backyard is great... especially if you have a dog. From the upstairs of the house, you can see the hot air balloons take off every morning from the balloon park. The view of the city is also magnificent.

Owner's Response: Thanks for all your kind words. It is our goal to ensure each guest has an enjoyable, comfortable stay. The patio furniture is removed in the winter months due to high west winds in Albuquerque, which have been known to relocate patio furniture from house to house. We do leave the grill and table under the covered patio so you can pull the dining chairs right from the dining area adjacent to the covered patio. We expect guests may want to enjoy outdoor cooking and dining so there is portable seating for 8 or more if you include the matching bench. Each Spring the patio furniture is returned and guests are provided with a storage area should the winds pick up unexpectedly. Perhaps, I can put a permanent storage unit in the garage of course it will limit garage parking during the messy weather. I will discuss options with my maintenance man and future guests can expect to find instructions on how to locate any needed patio furniture. Keep in mind, all guests are encouraged to give me a call and let me know what would make the stay more pleasant. I am a local Realtor, so I have a large storage room where staging furniture is kept like the patio furniture when not in use. My team and I will work hard to ensure your comfort. Thanks again for your feedback as it will be actively used to continue to improve your Home Away from Home experience. Susie

Thanksgiving Holiday Stay

  • 1 of 5

We were very disappointed in this property. There are differences in the condition of the property versus the pictures of the property. When we arrived, we found that the lock box code was wrong. When we went into the house, we discovered that the thermostat was not working, the backyard outside light blub was burned out (needed that light so our dog could go out), there were burnt out blubs in the eating area chandelier, and the place needed a detailed cleaning to remove dust as well as lots of white dog hairs. The downstairs powder room door knob would not unlock, leaving a guest stuck in the bathroom. The upstairs carpet is in need of shampooing. We bought the blubs and the batteries. Furnishings are marginal as are the kitchen nonstick pots and pans that are scratched and in bad shape. The sliding glass door is "locked" by putting a board in it, and the garage door into the house has to be secured using a device that attaches to the knob and rests against the floor. Seeing that did not make us feel very secure. We won't be going back.

Owner's Response: How unfortunate that this guest did not notify me of their dissatisfaction while I could have improved their experience. This is a lovely home and much attention is paid to having it cleaned between guests. True, not every light bulb is tested however replacements are stored in the cabinet which is clearly marked Supply Cabinet. There are several types of locks available on all the doors so that guest can make themselves feel as safe and comfortable as they prefer. The sliding doors do offer the additional security of a bumper board in addition to the professionally installed locks. This is only an option and not required to secure the home. The home also has deadbolts, doorknob locks, window locks, and a security jammer bar that they can choose to brace the door. I truly thought guests would feel more comfortable knowing no one even with a key could enter the home unexpectedly. These can easily be removed from the home, perhaps I will. I also change the code the the lock box between guests. Guests are asked to call upon arrival to pick up the new code. When this guest arrived, they called and I stayed on the phone as they opened the lock box and successfully accessed the home. The thermostat works fine, a quick call would have allowed me to provide operational instructions. It is a digital thermostat and it has been tested and works perfectly. We live in the high desert, therefore the home is also outfitted with an evaporative cooler, which is winterized in the cooler months, I can only assume that this guest was attempting to operate the heater using the cooler's thermostat, which is not digital and sits 4-5 inches away from the newer digital thermostat. As for the non-stick pans having scratches, some scratches are apparent as guests have improperly used metal on the pans. The pans still work fine and are relatively new. In addition, the set contains 3 skillets, 3 pots, and a Dutch oven so if one pan did not meet the needs another might. In addition, there is a full set of Caphlon pans on the shelf, which are just sitting there waiting to be used along with multiple banking pans, cookie sheets, roasting pan, pie plates, etc. There is a toaster over, a blender, two types of coffee pots, a full cutlery set, dinner plates, bowls, cups, glasses, pitchers, etc. It is a very well stocked kitchen. Finally, the door knob to the downstairs bathroom did require tightening to prevent catching on the latch. A courtesy call would have had my handyman over to fix.

We came for the Balloon Fiesta and this home was the perfect location! Easy access to the festivities! The home was great to spread out in , yet cozy enough to play cards! We had a great time! Book it for your next stay in Albuquerque!

Very nice, quite and practical home

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here for a little less than 6 weeks. The house sits on top of the hill, less than a mile away from Unser BLVD. Close to a lot of restaurants, the mall and about 8 min from Passeo Del Norte (Connecting road to I-25).

The house had a little yard which was why I decided to stay there as I had both of my dogs with me. All amenities were included so I didn't have to worry about pots and pans/washer and dryer/TV/Internet/...

If you're looking for a problem-free, pet-friendly beautiful house to spend some time in Albuquerque, this place would definitely be a good fit!

Perfect set-up for my family and pets

  • 5 of 5

This property is perfect for people and dogs alike. There is a big grassy backyard and walking trails nearby. The house was roomy and had everything my family needed. The mall, stores, and restaurants are only a few miles away. Susie checked in on us and was prompt in dealing with a couple of issues that needed to be fixed. I would recommend this house to friends and relatives.

A very comfortable home.

  • 4 of 5

This is our second month long stay. Lots of room to spread out and very comfortable home on a quiet street. Great location, near a wonderful shopping center, grocers and restaurants. Beds were very comfortable, very nice washer and dryer meant not having to pack a lot. Did most of our cooking and were pleased to be near Sam's Club and Costco. Being able to take our two small dogs a real plus.
