House, 1 Bedroom + Den, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2 adults and 2 kids)
We purchased this house in 2006 and have been restoring and renovating it since then. The house is divided into 2 apartments and we occupy one of these. We manage the vacation rental studio and are there to provide vacationers and travelers with a comfortable stay.
Andrew purchased this House in 2006
Why Andrew chose Iron Horse
We purchased the property to restore, to offer as an historic rental, and to live in. The location is very convenient for Travelers coming to the down town Tucson area, and the U. of A.

Nicely appointed, well located space
Very nice, comfortable and convenient place for downtown Tucson visitors. Four or so blocks from 4th Ave, where the night life begins; same to the heart of the University; same to downtown. Great woodwork shows meticulous care by the owners; clean, well provisioned and neat.
A skillfully restored casita
It's small, but the high ceilings give a feel of spaciousness. Very clean, well-appointed kitchen. Neighborhood is safe, has an old-time hippy/collegetown vibe. Very comfortable. The wifi signal is weak, but the owner made an effort to remedy it. It may still be weak. Nice TV, a good stock of old & newer movies, comfortable bed. The parking space in the rear is pretty small, will only accommodate a very compact car. Parking on the street was easy.
Downtown Tucson Stay
The house was a good fit for me and my husband.
We enjoyed staying downtown on this visit. Last time we were in the Catalina foothills. This was an easy walk to everywhere downtown we wanted to go. Brenae was very helpful. She brought us coffee filters the first night when we really needed a coffee after a long day of travel!!! Thanks for a great stay.
The house was spotless and very cute. It was located walking distance to restaurants and bars, plus easy drive to many events and points of interest. Plan to visit next year.
Comfortable and well equipped
I enjoyed my stay. The rental is conveniently located and fully met my needs as a solo traveler.
Perfect spot for a romantic trip. Super convenient to great food and night spots. Recommend Hotel Congress and Cup Cafe, which is a five-minute walk. The Coronet is amazing as well. Had a great Sunday breakfast there on the heated patio. The space is cozy and charming. WiFi is a bit slow for streaming but fine for surfing. Kitchen has all the necessities along with some nice gifts from the hosts.
The hosts were perfect. Available but not intrusive.
A great experience all around.
The property is within walking distance of the University of Arizona campus (3 blocks), convenient to Tucson Gem Show venues, within walking distance of the historic 4th Avenue shopping district (4 blocks) and downtown Tucson (6 blocks).
The property's location is very convenient for attending Tucson's twice-annual 4th Avenue Street Fair, which features hundreds of artists and artisans from across the country.
