Beautiful small town with large town amenities.
Hard to beat the location of this property. Enjoy fishing off the dock, jet skiis, or kayak across to the Sebastian Inlet to surf
I contacted Brad about his property and found him to be very helpful. The property was well kept and very clean. The living room is a nice size and comfortable. There is a garage for storage of fishing and surfing gear or whatever. There are some bikes and a tandem Kayak for use which is very cool. The area is awesome and the people are very friendly. We ate at Capt. Hirams and Squid lips and both were pretty good. We fished the inlet and snorkeled around the inlet as well. The snorkeling was great and we saw a lot of fish and found some nice conch shells. We drove down to Jenson beach and rented a boat for the day, and another day we drove down to Jupiter (Blowing rocks) and took the kids snorkeling. Highly recommended! I do plan on renting this house again next year.
This was our second trip to this location. Sebastian is a wonderful, olde time Florida place, and this house and location make you not want to leave. If you are looking for rest, relaxation, and quaint town get away, look no further. We caught a large Flounder and Jack right off the pier. Saw multiple dolphin, and had a wonderful little breakfast at the Pelican diner, excellent pizza at Aunt Louise's and dinner at Squid Lips..... if you like to look for good used books, go see Squidley's used books on US1 just minutes from house.... We will certainly be returning....
Wonderful, restful home. Great view. Bed sleeps great. Fun to ride bikes to restaurants. Took kayak out. Really nice owner.
Great house and location. I really enjoyed the dock. Yard is very large which the dogs enjoyed. Kayak and bikes plus washer and dryer in the garage are a nice feature. I would definitely stay there again.
Upon arrival on Friday, we found the house to be in great shape. It was clean and there were many amenities that we didn't even know were there. In the kitchen there was a coffee pot, blender and plenty of paper towels and cleaning supplies. The garage held a kayak and 2 adult bikes and a kids style bmx bike. The 2 beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms were nicely decorated. The pull out sofa was a little small and not very comfy but it worked.
The picture here does not do the living room justice!! There is a nice flat screen tv along with a very comfy couch and even a desk if you need to do some work while you are there! There is also a really nice swing under one of the oak trees that we didn't expect. Great to sit and watch the river!
The fishing was fantastic from the dock and there is a nice bench at the end of the dock to hang out on. Caught everything out there including stingray, catfish, red, drums, etc. Be prepared to catch a lot of catfish!
A few comments: There is no light at the end of the dock that works so we ended up going to Wal-Mart and buying a lantern so we can fish at night. Bring some extra bath towels. We were only there for two nights so didn't really want to do laundry, although a washer and dryer was available.
We had a little situation with the neighbor that I want to make anyone renting aware of. The neighbor came out in the early evening and chatted with us (6 adults over the age of 30) and seemed really nice and helpful. We were sitting outside grilling and having a good time and around 10:30 he came out and told us we were making too much noise. Someone in our party lit off ONE and only one firecracker and the neighbor was out the door in 2 seconds threatening us. Now mind you this was a Friday night and we were just sitting around talking and enjoying each others company. He threatened to call the cops on us if we didn't quiet down by 11 pm. We asked him if the music was too loud or our voices and he proceeded to tell us that our laughing was too loud. We would have laughed REALLY loud if the cops would have been called because we were laughing. I understand if he doesn't like the house being a vacation rental but we are very respectful people and were not in any way being too loud. Just warning you that if you are planning to have bbq don't LAUGH!! LOL
Overall, we will keep this on our list as a rental to go back to!
We stayed at this beautiful home for July 4th. The view was amazing, we enjoyed walking over to the dock(very shallow you can see the fish). We spent a lot of time in the front yard the breeze was great and the shade trees helped beat the heat! House was clean and spacious and bed were comfortable. The owner brad was pleasant and helpful responded quickly to any questions we may have had. We watched the fireworks from the front yard and thanks for allowing our two small dogs to come along with us! I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for place in sebastian Fl. It is in a great location close to everything, capt hirams, walmart, publix, home depot, ect. And we enjoyed our time at the state park ( not far from the house) we enjoyed walking on the beach, and walking on the pier to see what fish was being caught at the time! Really enjoyed our stay! And will be back!
