Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Dorothy & Ken, Thank you very much for the lovely time we had at the cozy cottage. We enjoyed it very much. The place is fantastic and you are very warm and kind people. The x-mas candies were a very pleasant (and delicious) surprise! Thank you for all the support and help with the snow...it was the most snow we have ever seen! Happy New Year!

Wonderful!

We stayed here May 25-29th 2017. From the moment we set foot in the door we were transported to a quieter time, where grandma greeted you at the door with a big hug! This quaint and cozy cottage was so relaxing and welcoming. The cabin was well equipped with all the nessesary items! And it was so clean and comfy! The mountains and sights in the area make taking just a short ride an adventure! Dorothy and Ken were perfect hosts! Very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this cottage to friends in a heartbeat! Ruth and Tim Ingersoll, Parish, NY

Owner's Response: Hi Steve & Sherri, I'm so glad your surprise weekend getaway went so well...you have raised the bar for other husbands! Besides your main trip, I hope you were able to visit the Wildlife Refuge before you left but if not, it's worth a trip when you return in August. Warm welcome, great location, cozy cottage!!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place! Perfect for winter, easy to get to, easy access to all the trailheads and you can walk to Stewart's next door for coffee and supplies. Really well equipped (French press, blender...the works!). Warm, abundant hot water. Plenty of room for all our gear. Wifi worked great. Best of all is your friendliest host Dorothy! Great stay, we'll be back!

Owner's Response: Hi Marnie & Matt, I'm so glad the cottage was just the right fit for your visit to the Adirondacks. You certainly conquered quite a few mountains, both hiking & skiing, even some in really cold weather. While you were gone, I enjoyed getting to know Alfred P Dog and we had some nice walks! It was great meeting & talking with both of you and I look forward to seeing all of you again. Regards, Dorothy
