Extremely comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was wonderful! Very clean and a great piece of property. Great location to get to mt Washington and surrounding areas. I felt very comfortable as soon as we settled in, it felt like I was staying at a friends cabin and not some random rental! Highly recommend and willl consider staying here again in the future!

A Gem In The Mountains

  • 5 of 5

Driving in off the highway you come down a wonderful mountain highway. As you trun into the drive you see a beautiful log home situated on a lawn etched out from the surrounding forest. This setting provides great privacy and escape. The house is well appointed and the instructions provided give you the perfect low down. We visited in a sort of off time. It was the end of April so spring was just taking it's turn. Despite that we could easily recognize the beauty all around. This house is a great hoping point for visiting the White Mountains. Easy access to hiking, skiing and snowmobiling. We didn't do any but just by sinage we could tell. The visit was just us two plus a dog and the space was huge. Easily can accomodate 8-10. We are Already deciding it if we will do another visit in the summer or wait until winter. We absolutleywould recommeneded this property to anyone.

We had such a great time at Mr Lockwood's place!! It was like home away from home. The furnishings were beautiful. There was plenty of space for the kids to run around. The only negative is that we wished we were there longer! We hope to rent again next year! Thank you

Highly recommend - wonderful house, perfect setting

  • 5 of 5

The photos don't do this house justice - it's an absolute find. Well equipped, light, spacious, tastefully decorated and very relaxing. Peaceful location but close to most major attractions / mountains. Sunsets from the side veranda were spectacular. Middle sugarloaf mountain was a rewarding local hike suitable for children 6-9 (hold on to them at the top!). Woodstock Station is excellent for food and local brews. For the full experience make sure you follow the "cabin rules"! Would definitely recommend.

When can we come back!

  • 5 of 5

Great location: 20 min driving distance from Mt. Eisenhower and Mt. Washington trail-heads.

Clean spacious house. You will have all you need to enjoy the vacations and follow the "unofficial rules" on the wall.

Stars at night! Priceless - cannot describe, I saw Cygnus maybe for the first time in the long time.

I would take a binoculars next time.

My tips: no AC - open windows across the house to acquire fresh air in the evening.

I guess by the regulations bad linings are washed with very scented chemicals, for allergy sensitive, just wash it in the water and dry it in the dryer.

Owner's Response: Kris, Thanks for the kind review. I am sorry the detergent caused skin sensitivity - I will look for an alternate detergent that is more irritant free.
