|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
The White Pine Loft was completed in June 2014. Offering luxurious surroundings, privacy, and the highest quality in construction and finishings, this property promises to leave you refreshed!
This cabin serves our guests in two different ways.
For our guests looking for a romantic getaway, this lofted cabin is ideal. It is beautifully crafted with all pine interior, soaring cathedral ceiling with a wall of windows, a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a cozy living room with fireplace and large screen tv, and a kitchen island as well as dining table for enjoying romantic dinners (or relaxing late breakfasts!) Outside you will find a very spacious outdoor deck with a luxurious hot tub, Weber gas grill and outdoor table/chairs, a covered front porch with additional seating, and a fire pit for enjoying a roaring fire under the stars. The hot tub offers a relaxing oasis with stunning night sky views after a long day of enjoying the The Shenandoah Valley.
For our larger groups that rent our other cabins, this cabin serves as a perfect socializing and overflow space. Guests can wander back to their cabins to sleep or relax and those that wish to socialize a bit longer can continue to do so at this cabin. There are paths through the woods that easily bring our guests from cabin to cabin, easily walked by children or elderly.
As found in our other properties, this home offers Egyptian cotton linens, luxury bath linens, and a fully equipped kitchen. You may stay indoors all day! If you can’t resist staying connected to the outside world, there is WiFi, DirecTV with Pandora, and two BluRay players.
If you do venture out, much awaits you outside the door. Downtown Luray is minutes away with its unique gift and antique stores, cozy coffee and bakery shops, fine and casual dining, live theatre, biking and walking trails, historical buildings, and much more. Luray Caverns, maze, and museums may keep you busy all day. Shenandoah National Park with its acclaimed Skyline Drive will surely tempt you with miles of biking, hiking, picnicking, or just driving and enjoying the gorgeous mountain views at every turn in the road. You can also choose from 18 Hole Golf in Luray and nearby New Market, winery tours, Civil War sites, canoeing/kayaking/tubing on the Shenandoah River, or skiing and snow tubing at nearby Massanutten Resort. Don’t forget the hunting, fishing, and outdoor ATV riding and wonderful Lake Arrowhead with its swimming, boating, grilling, and walking trails. Adventure and natural beauty abound in the area during all four seasons!

We have been mountain lovers since we married 25 years ago and are realizing our dream of building and renting mountain cabins in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Last year we met a gifted and extraordinarily talented builder who has built three cabins for us. The White Pine Loft is the most recent one completed and we feel truly blessed to call it ours and are excited to be able to share it with others!
Jim and Lisa Franceschini purchased this cabin in 2014
This property is nestled half way up Roundhead Mountain, offering both wooded privacy and seasonal mountain views. It satisfies the vacationer looking for a wooded retreat as well as the vacationer looking for views of and access to all that the Shenandoah Valley offers.
This cabin is incredibly special, romantic, and different with its cathedral ceiling, white pine interior, and lofted bedroom. The property is nestled half way up Roundhead Mountain, offering both wooded privacy and seasonal mountain views.
The property is well maintained, you will not be disappointed. We arrived after 5 pm so it was dark. However, the cabin has motion lights so as we pulled up the lights came on. When we walked into the cabin it looked exactly like the pictures we saw online. The temperature was perfect and it was very clean. We immediately unpacked and began our vacation. On Christmas Day we had brunch at the Mimslyn Inn and spent the afternoon at the Luray Caverns. We had a great day and created new memories. We thought it would be too cold for the hot tub, but we just had to try it. It was great. We really did not notice the cool temps. We will be back. This vacation, while short was exactly what we needed. Lisa is very responsive and worked with us to ensure we could book the perfect cabin for my husband and I. We will be back and I can't say enough about the responsiveness, beauty of the cabin and the area.
We very much enjoyed our stay! Lisa was wonderful to work with and the loft had everything we could have wanted. Great location, close to Shenandoah and downtown Luray. It was perfect for a weekend get-away for me and my husband. Thanks!
My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. And we had a wonderful time. The cabin is just the right size for 2 people. It's far enough away for peace and quite yet close enough to town and attractions. A few minutes to the grocery store and a small trip to Skyline Drive where we climbed to Stony Man Summit. And another very small drive to the Luray Caverns which has a spectacular tour where we learned the difference between stalagmites and stalactites. The cabin was very clean and very well equipped. It was great exploring the local geography during the day and coming back to this cozy cabin to lay under the stars in the hot tub. The surrounding scenery is breathe taking. We will be back!
We enjoyed our stay at the White Loft Cabin. Everything was as it was explained in the review and pictures. It was Very Clean and well-maintained. Owners provided all information needed. We appreciate the notes left around the house answering any questions we might have. We will, and have already, recommended this cabin to family & friends. During our stay we enjoyed two restaurants: Dans Steakhouse and The Speakeasy (located in Mimslyn Inn). Both were very good. During the day we drove some of Skyline Drive and did 3 hikes (Stoney Man, Little Stone Man, Bear Fence) and visited Big Meadow lodge for some famous blackberry ice cream!
The main driveway is gravel and a bit steep.
Overall - we had a fantastic time!
We got married in Luray and the boys got ready here and we spent our wedding night here. The space was large and light-filled. Jim and Lisa thought of everything to make our stay perfect and relaxing.
My husband and I stayed at the cabin for a few days to celebrate his birthday, and we were extremely pleased with our stay. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed the coziness of it, we felt right at home....without the children :-) It was just what we needed and we hope to visit again in the near future. Thanks Lisa & Jim for sharing such an amazing cabin with us!!!
There are a million things to do in the Shenandoah Valley area!! Luray Caverns (10 minutes from the home) and Shenandoah National Park/Skyline Drive (15 minutes) are 'must do' items. The Park offers gorgeous drives, overlooks, hiking, biking, and ranger-led activities.
Luray (10 minutes) offers the Hawksbill Greenway (fantastic walking/biking along a rushing creek), plenty of shopping and dining, mini golf, 18 hole golf courses, zip lines, horseback riding, and more. Lake Arrowhead (10 minutes) offers fishing, boating, BBQ facilities, and swimming/relaxing at the beach area. Hawksbill Recreation Area (5 minutes) offers an outdoor pool and BBQ area. Spectacular canoeing/kayaking/tubing along the Shenandoah River (up to Class 2 Rapids) is available on your own or through several area Outfitters. Wineries (closest is two miles from the cabin), antique shopping, shooting ranges, jet skiing, off-roading, outdoor concerts and festivals, and even a zoo are all within half an hour or less. Want to drive a little further? Presidential homes, Civil War sites, and Harrisonburg and Charlottesville are all 30-60 minutes away. Of course, if all you want is to stay at the cabin and relax with good food, a good book, and beautiful scenery, downtown Stanley (2 miles) offers a grocery store and a couple great restaurants.
The Visitor's Center in Luray is an excellent source of additional area information.
