About the property

Our house is in the beautiful Cordillera resort development in Edwards Colorado. on the Divide side at 8,000 feet it is in the lowest part of the development making the Edwards market and shops just a short drive away. There are beautiful views of mountain peaks and valleys in all directions. To the south is the dramatic New York Mountain peak at 12,550 ft, part of the Northern

Sawatch Range. To the west is a beautiful valley with mountains beyond.

One the Ranch side of Cordillera there is a large Spa and Athletic Club. State-of-the-art fitness equipment and training stations provide the core programming for this high-end athletic facility. Private and group instruction, nutrition seminars, yoga, pilates and fitness classes provide members with an array of athletic opportunities for all levels of fitness. There is also an indoor pool.

Cordillera is a very relaxing yet convenient location with a 10 minute drive to the town of Edwards, 15 minutes to Beaver Creek and 20 miles to Vail Ski Resort. Cordillera is 20 miles from the Vail/Eagle County Regional Airport, and a 2 1/4 hour drive to Denver International Airport.

This vacation home was fully renovated in 2011/12. The open floor plan is very friendly, comfortable, and elegant at the same time.

There are two levels.

- The main level has a lovely wide entrance, a great room with vaulted ceiling, a gas fireplace and amazing views, dining for 10 and two seating areas, a deck with seating around a gas fire pit and a gas grill, a gourmet kitchen with a breakfast bar, concrete island, two dishwashers and two ovens and wine cooler, master bedroom and bath, a powder room, a laundry/ mud room off a heated two car garage.

- The lower level has a king suite with a gas fireplace and bath, a queen pullout in the media room with bath, an office with bath, another king bedroom with bath. There are also 2 futons available. All bedrooms open out to the valley beyond. In the common area there is a pool table and a wet bar. Another full laundry is on the lower level.

We call this house The Plum. That is because when we bought it almore every surface was that color! Ceilings, walls, floors and woodwork, but the floor plan was, and is, wonderful. We like the size of the house and its convenience to all the many activities in the area.

Treat your family to a lifetime memory

Complete package. Spacious kitchen with all the utensils. Back deck with gas grill and fire pit is an added bonus. This was our second year and hope to return. Parking for skiing is a challenge. We used Arrowhead as a base. Ski into Bachelor Gulch and then over to BC. The scenery is great from anywhere in the house. Worth it. Wes, Judy and Lucy 2017.

Gorgeous and welcoming Cordillera home

This is a beautiful, clean, and comfortable home in the Cordillera development close to the Lodge and Spa at Cordillera. Great proximity to Beaver Creek and Vail. The house features lots of sunlight and stunning views out into the surrounding mountain. It is gorgeously decorated and very well maintained.

We spent most of our time in the great room area on the spacious main floor, which includes a gourmet kitchen, two comfortable sitting areas, and a long dining table that was perfect for family meals. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare delicious food during our stay. We also enjoyed the pool table on the bottom floor. There was plenty of storage room to stow our luggage and ski gear.

The house is a few minutes drive from Edwards, a small bustling town with nice coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping. We also enjoyed heading up to the lodge and going swimming in the large indoor pool there.

If you are looking for a stunning setting for a family or group getaway, with plenty of room for togetherness and private time, look no further. We felt truly rejuvenated after our stay in this wonderful home.
