Nestled on two acres along the banks of the Rogue River, the Rogue River Lodge is one of the earliest known lodges built in the Upper Rogue Valley that is still in existence today. Step back into a simpler time with our one bedroom cabin with amenities that include an antique kitchenette, bathroom, sitting room and French doors that open onto a spacious deck, just feet away from the Rogue River.

Enjoy a peaceful afternoon on the deck watching for bald eagles flying and salmon jumping or just drift off to sleep listening to the light rapids of the Rogue.

This cozy home-away-from -home sleeps up to four persons, with a queen bed in the bedroom, and a double fold out futon bed in the living area. Enjoy a delicious breakfast delivered each morning (valid up to 4 guests).

The manicured grounds also provide an excellent venue for family reunions, weddings, anniversary celebrations and more with potential onsite tent camping, RV and boat parking.

Rogue River Lodge offers an amazing range of things to do in the nearby area. Whether it’s a round of golf, fishing, hiking or wine tasting in the summer or skiing, snowmobiling or snowshoeing in the winter there are plenty of opportunities to explore the sights and tastes of the region, year round.

The Rogue River Lodge has received 2012 Certificate of Excellence Award as well as Jackson County / Medford Chamber of Commerce 2012 Small Business Excellence award along with other awards and recognitions since, and voted 2nd Best Lodge in Southern Oregon.

**The cabin is not ADA and does have one small step. It is adjacent to a riverside event venue and event center which is popular during the summer and on a public river access for boaters.

About Lee & Anne Kimball

For over eighteen years, Lee and Anne Kimball had enjoyed coming to Medford to visit family. In the spring of 2009, they learned that the lodge was for sale and decided to purchase this historic property. They could envision the potential opportunity that existed in restoring such a unique venue.

Both veterans of the restaurant and hospitality industries, the couple utilized their collective talents to create a new vision and era for the Lodge. Lee's background of construction and facilities for numerous national restaurant chains, as well as his reputation and vision, can be seen throughout the property.

It is evident with the many positive reviews on Yelp!, Trip Advisor, VRBO, etc. that their efforts are recognized by locals and tourists alike.

Why Lee & Anne Kimball chose Trail

We are one of the few riverside cabins that provides a full breakfast each morning, we're family and pet friendly and the rate is inclusive - no additional expensive housekeeping fees! We focus on servicing our guests, yet allowing them their privacy!

What makes this cabin unique

A guest was enjoying a private dinner on the cabin deck, dining on a fresh steelhead special we had that evening. A mature bald eagle flew down in front of them, grabbed a salmon from the river and proceeded to eat his salmon, while the guests enjoyed their dinner. Where else could you experience such a unique opportunity?

Prop open the bedroom doors, and go to bed listing to the gentle noise of the river, breathing in fresh air and seeing a beautiful array or stars overhead.

The cabin is restored to a mid 1930's era and contains an antique stove with gas burners and an old fashioned icebox which has been retrofitted to be a refrigerator. The kitchen is functional - but simple. The living room has a cozy stone fireplace, along with a small breakfast bar. Two sets of french doors open onto a spacious deck with serene views of the Rogue River - one set of doors in the bedroom and another in the living room area. Located several hundred feet from the cabin is the Rogue River Lodge.

Awesome place!

  • 5 of 5

It's a charming little cabin for 2 right on the Rogue River. You can sit on the deck and rock in the rocking chairs or leave the door open and listen to the sounds of the river. The cherry on top is the gourmet breakfast brought right to your door every morning. Delicious! ! ! Lee was available if we needed him but he never invaded our privacy. We would highly recommend this place!

Clean and comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

We only stayed for a quick night, but the stay was great. Comfortable, clean, and cozy. Great views of the river. We left early and missed out on the provided breakfast, but, we were able to make our own breakfast and coffee/tea. Essentials in the kitchen are also provided as well as a clean bathroom. Great stay! Thank you!

We Loved This Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The huge wood burning fireplace was awesome and they supplied the wood for us. The bed was very comfortable, with special cozy sheets and a bed warmer if it got cold, we never needed the bed warmer, the heater and fireplace kept it very cozy. The deck is right on the Rogue River and we would sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. Lee and Anne were very gracious hosts and cooked us a wonderful and delicious breakfast every morning, that was a great way to start our day! I highly recommend this rental!

The ultimate in a secluded had-a-way literally beside the Rogue River

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely enjoyed every aspect of our overnight stay. It couldn't have been better in any way.

We had visited this property a number of years ago and were delightfully surprised at all the improvements and upgrades. Being February, it rained but we didn't care because my wife beat me playing Cribbage (hmmm!) and we had a roaring fire with wood that was supplied. The cabin is quite tastefully appointed with 1930's period pieces, an attractive array of antiques and knick-knacks that brought back memories of my grandparents era in addition to a blending of modern amenities. The bed had a great mattress fitted with flannel sheets for the ultimate in snuggle coziness.

A 9 AM delivered hot breakfast consisted of kische, fresh fruit cup, english muffins with jam, and orange juice to compliment the supplied coffee.

To top it all off, the owners are warm and friendly people.

Who knows, we might do this again for our 6th anniversary.
