About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), Full Bath, (Sleeps up to 4)

Nestled on two acres along the banks of the Rogue River, the Rogue River Lodge is one of the earliest known lodges built in the Upper Rogue Valley that is still in existence today. Completed in 1937 as part of the original lodge, the cabin has been lovingly restored to reflect the ambiance of the mid 1930's era. Step back into a simpler time with our one bedroom cabin with amenities that include an antique kitchenette, bathroom, sitting room and French doors that open onto a spacious deck, just feet away from the Rogue River.

Enjoy a peaceful afternoon on the deck watching for bald eagles flying and salmon jumping or just drift off to sleep listening to the light rapids of the Rogue.

This cozy home-away-from -home sleeps up to four persons, with a queen bed in the bedroom, and a double fold out futon bed in the living area. Enjoy a delicious breakfast delivered each morning (valid up to 4 guests).

The manicured grounds also provide an excellent venue for family reunions, weddings, anniversary celebrations and more with potential onsite tent camping, RV and boat parking.

Rogue River Lodge offers an amazing range of things to do in the nearby area. Whether it’s a round of golf, fishing, hiking or wine tasting in the summer or skiing, snowmobiling or snowshoeing in the winter there are plenty of opportunities to explore the sights and tastes of the region, year round.

The Rogue River Lodge has received 2012 Certificate of Excellence Award as well as Jackson County / Medford Chamber of Commerce 2012 Small Business Excellence award along with other awards and recognitions since.

**The cabin is not ADA and does have one small step. It is adjacent to a riverside event venue and event center which is popular during the summer and on a public river access for boaters.

Keywords: The cabin is ideal for tourists & locals - located just 30 minutes from Medford, and 50 miles to Crater Lake, minutes from Lost Creek Lake, and a short drive to Prospect and Union Creek.

About Lee & Anne Kimball

For over eighteen years, Lee and Anne Kimball had enjoyed coming to Medford to visit family. In the spring of 2009, they learned that the lodge was for sale and decided to purchase this historic property. They could envision the potential opportunity that existed in restoring such a unique venue.

Both veterans of the restaurant and hospitality industries, the couple utilized their collective talents to create a new vision and era for the Lodge. Lee's background of construction and facilities for numerous national restaurant chains, as well as his reputation and vision, can be seen throughout the property.

It is evident with the many positive reviews on Yelp!, Trip Advisor, VRBO, etc. that their efforts are recognized by locals and tourists alike.

What makes this cabin unique

A guest was enjoying a private dinner on the cabin deck, dining on a fresh steelhead special we had that evening. A mature bald eagle flew down in front of them, grabbed a salmon from the river and proceeded to eat his salmon, while the guests enjoyed their dinner. Where else could you experience such a unique opportunity?

Prop open the bedroom doors, and go to bed listing to the gentle noise of the river, breathing in fresh air and seeing a beautiful array or stars overhead.

Awesome place!

  • 5 of 5

It's a charming little cabin for 2 right on the Rogue River. You can sit on the deck and rock in the rocking chairs or leave the door open and listen to the sounds of the river. The cherry on top is the gourmet breakfast brought right to your door every morning. Delicious! ! ! Lee was available if we needed him but he never invaded our privacy. We would highly recommend this place!

Beautiful, accomidating, profesional, clean the list goes on. This venue was perfect!

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a wedding, anniversary party pretty much any special event. This is the prefect place. Lee and Ann are so easy and wonderful to work with. The property is beautiful and right on the river. There is a great bar set up, dance floor. tables and chairs. Our event was in the evening and the lighting was amazing and the fire pit was the perfect touch. They just seemed to want to make sure we had everything we needed. With staying the weekend in the cabin that is yes right on sight it made it so easy and such a treat. Waking up right on the river with the breakfast that is served to your door.... that's right to the door. (And might I ad its not just bagels and muffins. It is a complete delicious breakfast.) We could not have been more relaxed. We will be making a trip to stay in the cabin soon to do a little fishing or just for a weekend romantic getaway. Its the perfect location not far from town, but far enough to enjoy the fresh air. I would definitely recommend this vacation rental and venue.

Serenity on the Rogue River

  • 5 of 5

The Rogue River is the setting for this beautiful cabin. We let the busyness and noise of the world slip away as we sat on the deck in the late afternoon listening to the flow of the river and sipping a glass of wine. The cabin is very comfortable and had everything we needed and more. A delicious breakfast was served by the hosts, and we enjoyed that on the deck, also. We will definitely return for another stay if we're back in the area.

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

I really hate to give a great review only because this gem is already so popular. My parents stayed here 5 years ago and we finally made it here ourselves. So perfect, so lovely, so peaceful. Lee is an amazing and gracious host and we would have loved to have more time with him as he is very easy to visit with. The cabin is quaint and comfortable and we loved the old fashioned appliances in the kitchen. I can only imagine how wonderful it would be in the winter sitting in the comfy chairs in front of the fire. We truly enjoyed the delicious breakfast on the deck each morning overlooking the river delivered promptly at 9. I think I left my heart here and will be back again and again.

Private, quiet, beautiful view and awesome breakfast!

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed here before so new what to expect and we were once again happy as can be! It's so nice having a place all to yourself when you are on vacation. Not only that, but the scenery is just beautiful and it's so quiet and relaxing. This is one of the best deals out there and includes a homemade hearty delicious breakfast each morning. The owners are very nice and are available if you need any info. The location is great for day trips to nearby adventures such as the Oregon Caves, white water rafting, jet boating & Crater Lake . We will definitely be back!
