Real Beachfront Living:
Situated on and fully fronting onto seven mile beach, our condo (#16 Tamarind Bay) is the entire second floor of a two-floor building (1,712 sq ft). The view overlooks the seawall, so you will enjoy watching the surf break on the beach as you look out upon the ocean. Relax with the sight and sound of the waves rolling upon the white sand beach.
All Rooms have Ocean & Beach Views:
The master bedroom, den, and living room have sliding glass doors that open onto the wide screened-in deck, which is directly above the beach. Relax in front of the large picture window and feel as if you are on the beach. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are views of the ocean throughout, including the master, guest, den, and the open kitchen/dining/living area. There is a king bed in the master bedroom, a king bed and twin sofa sleeper in the guest bedroom, and a queen sofa sleeper in the den which can serve as a 3rd bedroom (separate from the living area).
The Beach, Pool, and Snorkeling:
Our beach is nice and it is all sand out into the water. Off shore there is mixture of sand, rock, and coral under the water. Most people like this since it attracts a lot of marine life. This makes the snorkeling directly in front of our condo very enjoyable. The beach in front of our place is fun and you can dig sand castles, make sculptures, sun bathe, play Frisbee, etc. All of the beaches in Cayman are public and you can explore them as you wish. Be sure to check out the hotel next door. They built an artificial reef and it attracts a lot of marine life. In our opinion, it is one of the funnest snorkeling spots for beginners or youth on Seven Mile Beach. We also have a beach front fresh water pool. You will be able to to take a dip in freshwater as soon as you get out of the ocean.
Sunsets:
Since the beach faces due west, the sunsets are spectacular. Be sure to watch for the rare 'green flash' at the last moment the sun disappears. Enjoy some wine and listen to the waves.
Amenities:
The condo also includes a full kitchen, washer/dryer, beach towels, Wi-Fi Internet (wired also available in the den), a Skype phone with unlimited calling to/from the U.S. and Canada, and a laser printer. There are large TV’s in both bedrooms and the den (two 42” plus one 32” LCD with HD/digital cable service). The front door has an electronic code lock, so you will not need to keep track of keys or cards during your stay.
Restaurants, shops, several nightclubs, and the gym are within walking distance, so a car is convenient but optional. There is good taxi service, small tourist buses cost $2 one way, and Andy’s Rent-A-Car rental agency is across the street. The Marriott, located just to the north, offers a full range of water sports/activities. Grand Cayman is known globally for its scuba diving and there are many dive operators on the island that offer training, equipment, and transportation.

We plan on retiring to our home here in the Cayman Islands, but alas, until then we reside in South Dakota most of the time. This place with its view renews us. In the mornings, time slips by as we drink coffee and watch the beach through our picture window. Michael relaxes with scuba diving & snorkeling in the clear & warm waters. Kandi relaxes with her books in the shade of an umbrella on the beach. Our day pauses for a glass of wine while watching the sunset. We usually serve dinner on the screened-in lanai. It is a time to watch dusk roll in and enjoy listening to the waves. It is our hope that you will find our beach home as much of a blessing in your life as it is in ours. Cheers, Michael & Kandi.

We love Seven Mile Beach because of the relaxing beauty of white sand, clear warm water, the sight and sound of the surf, and spectacular sunsets. The Cayman Islands remain a British territory, English is the native language, and the US dollar is accepted. This is a beautiful, safe, and modern island. Seven Mile Beach faces due west, providing spectacular sunsets that very few beaches offer.
Stunning views throughout. This condo sits on the beach and is true oceanfront living. It is the entire second floor (the top floor) of a two-story building. You are able to watch the surf break upon the beach (since you overlook the sea wall) and will enjoy top floor privacy. There is world-class snorkeling right outside, a fresh water pool, beach chairs, and umbrellas. Sit on the screened-in deck or in front of the picture window and enjoy being on the beach.
Michael, what an amazing place you and Kandi have! The view was beautiful – even the kids watched the ocean instead of the tv! I can’t thank you enough for allowing us to stay at your condo for our week in Grand Cayman. It was everything and more! This was the best vacation I’ve ever had. One of the best things was the lack of noise that is usually present in a hotel with kids running up and down the hallways and doors slamming shut. The only thing we heard in the morning as we awoke was the ocean waves hitting the beach. The people in Grand Cayman could not have been friendlier and that goes for the staff at all of the restaurants we went to as well as cab and bus drivers. Every day was perfect weather. We went horseback riding, to the Turtle Farm, rented wave runners, paddleboards, kayaks, a Hobie Cat, went on a sunset sail and spent a lot of time snorkeling - and we always had a glass of wine in the evening. We will never forget this trip and hope to get to Grand Cayman again sometime soon! Again, thank you so much for the use of the condo!
Beautiful "beachy" condo direct oceanfront, with a beautiful white sand beach just a couple steps away (a tad small after the 2017 hurricane season, but building back). The condo is large, spacious, with a wonderful screened-in deck. Walking distance to some great beach bars and restaurants. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, as are the owners Michael and Kandi. Great snorkeling right out front. Quiet at night, with the light sound of crashing waves. Designated parking spot, well maintained property. We will be back!
This place is so much more than it appears in the photos. I think my favorite surprise was just how close the master bedroom lies to the waters edge. It is probably no more than 30 feet away from the surfs break. You will have the best sleep of your life here! The bed is a tempurpedic and the wave sounds lull you to sleep, imagine lying in your bed and watching the sun set. . . That is just the tip of the iceberg. This place is magical and just the right size, location, and set up. The staff at Tamarind bay are wonderful people. Karen is a sweetheart and Henry the gardener was just the kindest man. You will not want to leave. This place doesn’t make you homesick- it makes you want it to be your home!!!

The property was very well maintained. A storm had taken much of the beach, but it did not matter. The view from the condo was beautiful. The condo had all the necessities. Office staff was very helpful and available. Michael was very accommodating when our flight was canceled and we wanted to change our trip from Saturday to Saturday to Sunday to Sunday. There may be condos on seven mile beach but hat are more expensive, but there is no better view than from this one. My wife and I loved our stay. My brother and my parents were staying in a nearby condo and they commented on how much nicer this one was. We hope to stay again!

This 2 bedroom condo is absolutely right on the water. The back of the condo is no more than 50 feet from the actual water and 10 ft from the beach. There are always chairs available on the beach and it is nice and quiet. You have restaurants around like Coconut Joes and Peppers to walk to and the Marriott is only a couple doors down. The Condo itself is great. From the Master a great view of the water and all the amenities are great, especially the washer and dryer. The pool looks great although we never used it with the beach and water right there. Snorkeling is fantastic right off the beach with a reef about 100ft out. We took Taxi's everywhere, but we also found out after the fact, we could have grabbed shuttles from the Marriott to things like the turtles. I would highly recommend a stay here
