Steve Perkins purchased this cottage in 2010
We purchased the property of the beautiful main house and Vineyard. The Cottage was a great bonus! We lived in it for 4 months while we remodeled.
Country/Vineyard living at its best. Walk to wineries, hike/bike our beautiful back country roads, minutes to Healdsburg, Santa Rosa or Napa.
All the comforts of home with none of the stress. Steve and Linda greeted us when we arrived. They were always willing to answer questions and give suggestions for sightseeing, dinner or anything else. Even though the cottage is close to their home, you have all the privacy you want. We enjoyed our conversations with them throughout the week. The cottage was clean, nicely decorated and convenient to everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. There were wineries galore within walking, biking and driving distance. We picked fresh berries right along the road for breakfast one morning. It provided a great place to relax after a day of wine tasting, hiking the redwood forest or a day at the beach. We would love to stay there again.
My wife & I stayed here during the first part of our honeymoon. The location was perfect for visiting all the wineries we wanted to hit in the Russian River Valley. The cottage was very comfortable, peaceful, and scenic. The owners are very friendly and generous. They shared a bottle of wine with us that was made using the grapes on their property. It was such a nice treat to stay here!
The cottage was the perfect location for my getaway to Sonoma County. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything I needed in amenities. The back patio and grill made for an easy way to spend the evening. Thanks again for the wine and chat on your deck.
Love this wonderful, private, clean, ideal rental. Steve was great and Buster the puppy was great too. A perfect place to crash after the wedding festivities of the weekend. Quiet mornings in the Vineyard. ❤️ Thanks.
The Perkins' family cottage was a perfect place for our first stay in wine country. We chose Santa Rosa because it was central to Sonoma, Dry Creek Valley and Napa wineries.
This cottage couldn't have been more convenient for us. We wanted to stay somewhere outside of the city but close enough to run in for breakfast & dinner. It was decorated nicely, with plenty of towels and bedding. And I have to say, the bed was very comfortable! I'm picky about beds so I was nervous but pleasantly surprised.
You won't regret staying here with the Perkins'. The cottage is right in their backyard but it's very private and they will not bother you at all (unless you want to chat and hang out with them and their new puppy like we did!). It was my birthday during our stay and when we mentioned where we were going for dinner (Dry Creek Kitchen) Steve promptly said that was one of their favorite places to eat. After we finished our meals there later that night the waiter brought us 2 glasses of a lovely port...compliments of Steve! I thought that was such a nice gesture and showed he really cared about us as his guests. There is much more to say but I won't bore everyone with our details. If you are deciding on where to stay, just book this cottage, you will love it! We will definitely be returning here in the future!
