Le logement est très joliment décoré et fonctionnel, tout est à disposition. Le quartier est calme et très rapidement connecté aux points d'intérêt de la ville. Un très bon compromis !
We had a little hiccup in communicating with the property owner. He's a busy man and lives out of the country and had changed property owners but it all worked out. The apartment in on the first floor of a brownstone-type building. The apartment's front windows face the street and we enjoyed relaxing at night in the living room watching the comings and goings. The couple of neighbors we met were friendly. The apartment is spacious and furnished in a mid-century modern fashion and has nice hardwood floors. One bedroom is very large with an ensuite bathroom (we were two couples.) The other smaller bedroom is in the back of the apartment so the occupants use the hall bathroom. The kitchen is modern with microwave and dishwasher. There is a modern washer and dryer. There is a backyard accessible to the apartment (shared with basement apartment) but we didn't use it. There is wi-fi but no tv although we were able to watch tv on our tablets. There are grocery stores, restaurants, Starbucks all within walking distance. There are subway stations also close by. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the apartment.
The 4 of us had planned to stay in NY for a week in Mai 2016. Back in October 2015 we had chosen this apartment due to its location and good reviews. The trip was party on business due to a conference in Manhattan. we were looking forward to spend the week in a quiet and fancy neighborhood.
Two weeks before our stay the owner cancelled the booking without convincing reason. First I thought this to be a bad joke, but finally I realized that this was serious and it was happening. If you know NY you may anticipate how difficult it was to find a hotel close enough for business that was affordable! I 'm travelling with homeaway for many years now, renting houses and apartments in all us locations. This had never happened to me before. As much as homeaway customer care helpful and professional I felt that the owner was not really helping in improving the process.
We will certainly return to NY, however cannot recommend to book with an owner that cancels on such short notice in a city with such a great demand!
Nous avons passé un tres bon séjour dans l appartement de Chris. L appartement est très joli, plus grand que sur les photos par ailleurs, c est très calme et l on y dort très bien , bonne literie par ailleurs. A quelques minutes à pied du metro, très facile de se rendre downtown. Nous ne pouvons que recommander cet appartement
Four of us stayed here for three nights and we loved every minute of it. The apartment was surprisingly spacious for New York, with high-end appliances, wood floors, some exposed brick, high ceilings, and with a small patio overlooking a cute garden filled with flowers and shrubs where we sat out as often as we could to eat or have a drink. The larger room is really much larger than the other, with a very comfortable king size bed, a sofa, and an en-suite bathroom. This was fine for our group as we had one couple and two singles (one slept in the living room). But if you are two couples you might want to think about who gets what before you arrive--we split the amount so that we paid more for the larger room. If you do need to use the living room, there is plenty of space next to the sofa. We brought our own mattress as the sofa is not a sofabed, and it fitted neatly behind the sofa itself. There are lovely little restaurants and cafes not far away--we ate two nights in a row at an adorable French cafe at the end of the block. Chris was communicative and very helpful. All in all a great experience.
