About Your Place on the Cape
My family and I moved from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, to the Cape in May 2003 and spent a good two years searching for the perfect house in one of the Nauset school district’s four towns. We love the town of Orleans for its downtown center of shops, the choice of beautiful bay and ocean beaches and an array of clean and inviting freshwater lakes.
Your Place on the Cape purchased this House in 2005
Why Your Place on the Cape chose Orleans
This modular (or “pre-fabricated”) house was built at Marcoux, a company based outside of Quebec. It was the perfect solution to finding something quick to move into after having to move out of a winter rental. As the house is well-built and insulated, I hope you find it comfortable and inviting; a great place to relax, have fun at and come home to.
What makes this House unique
The short stroll to Crystal Lake, a very clean freshwater paradise for swimmers and fishermen alike is a treat. Boaters can enjoy the numerous nearby boat landings, Lonie's Pond brings you out to the Atlantic Ocean (and Outer Beach). Both Nauset and Skaket are so easy to reach, you're there within minutes by car and there's a host of shops, boutiques, restaurants, all in downtown Orleans as well as all the practical things like supermarkets, drugstores, gas stations and banks. Orleans is a quaint town with well kept grounds, harbors and lakes. The towns of Harwich and Chatham are easily accessible as well as the Outer Cape towns of Wellfleet, Truro and Provincetown.

The house was just as described and had everything we could possibly need.
We loved the house and the owner was a pleasure to deal with and answered our questions promptly.
We will definitely be back!
Nice, large house
This house was accurately described. Maureen the owner was very kind and has this house stocked with everything needed to have a comfortable stay. Definitely recommend this property.
It was a pleasure hosting you and your family from Texas. Happy you were able to discover this beautiful and unique coastal area of New England.
Beautiful, peaceful, comfortable - this is a fabulous place to stay.
We were back for our 4th year at Your Place on the Cape, and we had an amazing vacation here. The house is so spacious, clean and comfortable, and Maureen provides everything that you could want in a house - and more! My two boys (ages 5 and 6) love playing in the yard, and it's easy to make meals in the kitchen that has all of the tools I could ask for. The bedrooms are perfect for our family, and we can't wait to return!
Always nice to welcome you and your family back to the house. Happy you enjoy the extras throughout...plenty of beach chairs, toys, umbrella and the kitchen that includes many spices, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, ziploc bags, etc......less things to worry about. My goal is to make everyone's stay as relaxed and carefree as possible...it's your vacation after all!
This is the second time we rented this house and it accommodates all our needs. Maureen was very hospitable and we did have an issue with the stove and she instantly came over and fixed the issue. The house has everything you need and is kid friendly. We enjoyed our stay yet once again and it was a successful vacation. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Thank you. Happy kids makes for happy parents, so it's great that everyone enjoyed the house and all it offers. Look forward to welcoming you and your family again next summer!
Wonderful & Confortable
This was our 2nd stay in this house and it was just as amazing as the 1st time but with some improvements. The addition of the 4th bedroom made life much easier for our family members. The new smart TV also added another level of convenience allowing us to stream movies or look at pics on the TV. The kitchen is well stocked and has adequate cookware and glassware.
We had a wonderful time and would recommend this property to anyone who will be vacationing in the area. Maureen takes great pride in her property and it shows when you are there.
Nice, clean and everything we needed! Owner was amazing!
We couldn’t have asked for more!
Short walk to Crystal Lake, nearby boat landing at Lonnie's Pond (Kescayogansett), 1 mile to Cape Cod League baseball games, downtown shops, restaurants, and art galleries, 3.4 mi. to Nauset Beach and 2.8 mi. to Skaket Beach, lovely drive to Chatham passing Pleasant Bay, short drive to neighboring towns such as Brewster and Eastham, also just 2 miles to Mid-Cape Highway to reach more Cape Cod towns.
