As you can see from our reviews, you will love this villa!
Conveniently located in a country hillside setting surrounded by lush plantations. The view truly is spectacular; we've been told numerous times that it's one of the most incredible on the island.
This scenic villa is abundant in flora and fauna and you can just sit on the deck and enjoy the beauty all day and all night long! The sunrises and full moons are incredible as they shine across the ocean. The breezes are fabulous and wonderful to have in the Caribbean heat! The villa faces the south east which provide great natural breeze and perfect temperatures in the afternoon! Direct Caribbean afternoon sun can be stifling. This villa has the ultimate Caribbean exposure!
Each deck is private and has over 500 sq ft of outdoor space and the villa is situated on a half acre of beautiful palms, flowers, and fruit and vegetables for your dining pleasure! In the season, we can also arrange for crab and lobster to be brought to you! Chef available upon request. Fine West Indian Caribbean cuisine. All types of cuisine available as well.
Coco View Villa is situated on a lush hillside overlooking both the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea. The villa can be one, two or three bedroom, whatever your needs. The 1/2 acre property has fruit trees and a number of garden vegetables for your dining pleasure! It's an eco friendly environment that is located close to the International airport and beaches of white sand that are famous for kite and wind surfing! All amenities available within 10 minute drive. There is great local dining as well.
The villa can be rented as a whole or in part as it has 3 separate living areas:
Palm: 2 bdrm, king/queen with full kitchen (DW) and 500 sq ft of deck. Common laundry on this floor, separate but accessible from inside Palm Suite.
Cococut: 1 bdrm, king with full kitchen and 300 sq ft of deck. Separate entrance and joining entrance with Palm Suite, lockable both from both units.
Mango: 1 bdrm, full kitchen and 500 sq ft of deck.
The units are completely furnished with modern high quality furnishing and are completely private.
All units have laundry access and kitchen islands and sinks that overlook the Atlantic Ocean and the Marie Islands. The view is incredible, our guests are truly amazed.
The gardens include a variety of fruits and vegetable of which some are available year round, others seasonal: pineapple, banana (8 varieties), mango, coconut, apple (golden & love), orange, lime, lemon, grapefruit, passion fruit, avocado, sugar cane, onions, lettuce, tomato, potato (white & sweet), eggplant, Caribbean ground provisions (tania, dashene & breadfruit). Flora includes Palm trees (Traveller, Saw Palmeto, Christmas, Coconut), Bird of Paradise, Allamanda, Ixora, Firecracker, Hibiscus, and Bougainvillea. Our local farmers quite often deliver what isn’t available in the garden to the villa. Or you can take a walk and go pick them yourselves! The hillside and villa are a Garden of Eden!
The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. There are 4 fresh water springs on the hillside and two of them are used in bottling Bamboo Springs water. It's a small plant hidden in a banana plantation higher up the hillside.
All of our guests seem to have truly enjoyed their stay with us and we hope you decide to visit us as well!
We are retired Officers and we love the water. We sailed over 4,000 kms to get to St Lucia. We can help organize land and sea tours for you as we also have a sail boat.
We can also show you a variety of places to dine or where to get groceries if you'd prefer to cook at the villa. We can also stock your fridge and bar (additional cost) for your arrival.
Welcome to Coco View Villa!
We are avid sailors and enjoy socializing and showing our guests around the island. We also respect your privacy so you can just let us know what you'd prefer for your vacation.
Diane purchased this villa in 2009
This property is so peaceful, plentiful and has such an incredible view of both the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea that you won't want to miss it! Visit our vrbo #447780 Catamaran sailing adventure site, see St Lucia and some other Caribbean islands by sailing yacht as part of your Caribbean experience!
We have local inexpensive taxi service to the beach or you can take the local bus ($1.25 ECD). It is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and there are great people living here.
The villa is surrounded by beautiful banana plantations of which our local farmers love to have our guests visit. They welcome you to pick the local fruit and vegetables and take them home to eat.
We have a variety of hiking trails that can be either easy or challenging. You can start right from the villa or visit other great hiking areas, for example the World Unesco Heritage Site Gros Piton. The hikes can vary from 1/2 to 41/2 hrs.
We know many of the local business & restaurant owners and can get you some fantastic food for excellent prices. We can also get you personal and discounted tour prices.
If your pleasure is relaxing, you can enjoy the spectacular view from one of our decks which in total are 800 sq ft. Enjoy our swinging chairs while sipping on your morning coffee or happy hour rum punch!
My husband and I had had it with the NY Winter of 2015, so booked a whole month on St Lucia. The Coco View Villa was number one on our list of places to stay and Diane got back almost immediately….We booked and for months, we were looking forward to our visit. The villa was EVERYTHING and more, as described. What wasn't mentioned were the caretakers, Cynthia and Mike, who from the minute of our arrival, tended to our every need….And here's the best….they became fast friends. When we left, I cried buckets of tears…but I know I have forever friends in Cynthia and Mike. As for the villa, you will NOT be disappointed. If you stay for an extended period of time, you will become a part of the neighborhood…We LOVED that and that's why resorts are of no interest to us. I LOVED cooking meals with all the native veggies and fish and Mike was always ready with a new recipe idea to try!!! The surrounding gardens are beautiful with all sorts of things growing for guests enjoyment…And our next door neighbor, Ernie, dropped off fresh grapefruit…yum…and Harry, one of the gardeners, dropped off mangos. We stayed in the Coconut Suite, the top floor, and it was perfect for our needs…well equipped for cooking and bright and airy. The view is SPECTACULAR!!!! We also had the Palm Suite for a week when our two grown daughters visited and that was fantastic, as well!!! As for Diane and Ken, the owners……they are wonderful…Easy to work with them and so accommodating….I bought a guide book for St Lucia which was totally useless…Diane's packet is MUCH MORE useful and we did just about everything that was suggested….without disappointment!!!! Diane and Ken "found" us on the beach the second day we were there…Off sailing, they stopped by to check in with us…I was amazed that they found us and took the time to make sure we were happy and comfortable…Really? Instant love, for sure!!!! My husband is not a real beach lover like I am, but he found lots to do that he liked doing and so we were both happy!!! Do NOT miss out on a stay here….
Perfect place, nice, quiet and in a local town...it's really not a touristic place !
We were welcomed by Ken & Diane on their boat for one night and spent all weeks with Cynthia and Mike...all 4 are really helpfull and make everything for you spend a good time in Saint Lucia.
I really recommand this place, we enjoy our stay ! Thanks for everything...and Ken, see you in Jamaica my friend !
We had a lovely stay at Coco View Villa - the house is clean, comfortable and well-equipped, with an amazing view and wrap-around deck.
The beds were super comfy, and there were plenty of towels (both bath and beach). We appreciated the fans, though it never got super hot. Although there are no screens and we needed to keep doors and windows open for ventilation, we saw very few bugs. There is mosquito-netting over each bed, which we were encouraged to use, so that did help at night. Our biggest issue was the near-constant dog-barking that went on much of the night. Hard to ignore with the windows open!
Kitchen was well-equipped with everything you could need. We only cooked breakfasts, but it was a great convenience. We loved having our coffee on the deck every morning, and appreciated the gift of fresh coconut and other fruits that Mike and Cynthia brought up to us.
We loved staying in a non-tourist area, and appreciated eating at the more "local" spots around Vieux Fort. Vieux Fort itself has very few amenities besides a Dominos pizza, grocery store and bank. The next nearest town (Laborie) has a couple of restaurants, and is a 15-20 minute drive. The main tourist areas are almost an hour away, so that made exploring a bit difficult. It was fun and adventurous, however, and we would recommend Coco View Villa to those willing to have a more authentic, off-the-beaten path adventure.
My girlfriend, Stephanie, and I stayed for two nights at the end of our two week jaunt around the island. We had plenty of privacy in the beautifully crafted 3 level cabin. Reservations with Diane went smoothly. She provided us with a very helpful packet of information ahead of time and helped talk us to the location of villa when our taxi driver had trouble finding the place. (It's not difficult to find; we led him astray.) Upon arrival, we met Mike, Cynthia, and Ken, Diane's Husband.
We prefer to cook our meals, so the surrounding garden was a welcomed amenity. We made breakfast, lunch and dinner with mostly garden ingredients. A few days later we visited the fish market with Mike and Cynthia and then made dinner together. Mostly, Stephanie and I played chess and caught up on reading while lounging on the upper decks. We couldn't have asked for a better location, better hosts, or a better ending to our time in St. Lucia.
We spent a whole week at the Coco View Villa and it was absolutly perfect!! The view and the villa itself are amazing. Cynthia and Mike were so nice and helpful. Cynthia brought us fruits to try. They were delicious! And the owner was very accessible before our arrival to answer different questions we had. She even got a little bed for our baby. We definitly recommand the villa for your stay. If your a couple or with a baby, ask for the apartment on the last floor. Even if smaller, it has screens on three doors so you can leave them open during the night. And the breeze is sooooo good. It also have a fan right on top of the bed. If you want to have the perfect stay, it is the place to be!! Thanks again for a such a wonderful week.
My husband and I came to St. Lucia to get a break from the winter and our seven boys. I wanted a place with gorgeous views of the ocean, relaxing and peaceful. Coco Villas did not let me down, It was amazing. We stayed in the coconut suite on the top level and the view was beautiful. I got to fall asleep and wake up to the view of the ocean and mountains. I like that it felt like my home away from home. I recently stayed in an all inclusive resort in Mexico which was wonderful, but I really felt like I could have been on any beach in the world. I didn't get to see what Mexico was really like or get to know any of the people and how they lived. Staying at Coco Villas gave me the chance to really get to know the real St. Lucia and how the locals lived. One of my favorite moments was waking up to the sound of locals signing on Sunday morning. The music just filled the air. I could of done without some barking dogs in the middle of the night, but that was a part of the real experience that I will never forget. Everything in the yard is pretty much edible, so I got to try some local fresh fruits and veggies. I also picked some herbs to make a meal. It was so relaxing to cook a meal since my view was so gorgeous! I loved the privacy I had versus a large resort. The local beach was beautiful, relaxing and not crowded. Our hosts, Carol and Bernie, also made our trip so wonderful. They were so helpful, kind and made sure we had everything we needed. They treated us like family and I am blessed to call them friends. We also got the pleasure of meeting the owners Captain Ken and Diane. Wonderful people! They took us out on their catamaran for an overnight tour. We sailed from Rodney Bay to the Pitons in Soufriere. We learned about the Island and sailing. Diane and Ken cooked us wonderful meals. The views of the ocean and of the Island from a sail boat is so amazing! I still dream of about it wishing I were still there. Miss you all! The Anderson's
We are located in the south of the island but in the North, which is a 1.5 hour drive there is parasailing, golf and a theatre. There is also abundant shopping and dining places but at much higher tourist prices.
