Sol Seeker is a charming beach home located in the private resort community of Sunset Beach. Sunset Beach is situated on the gulf side of 30a - directly between the beach communities of Alys and Rosemary Beach. Immediately upon entering the private and gated courtyard, you will begin to notice all of the special touches which will make you feel welcomed.

A Map of the neighborhood with the location of the home and the proximity to the beach can be seen by clicking on the Location Tab - you are merely steps to the beach and pool!

The courtyard has been nicely designed to provide you with an oasis offering a pleasant respite for morning coffee or a romantic dinner.

The main floor features an open floor plan with travertine floors, granite counter-tops, tumbled marble back splashes, stainless appliances and a beautiful stained glass window.

One of the greatest amenities of this home are the built in screens for all four sets of french doors which will allow you to open the doors and enjoy the ocean breeze!

The living/dining area has comfortable seating and a flat-screen HDTV over the gas fireplace! A Bose stereo is provided as well. There is a full sized bathroom downstairs with walk-in shower. There is a queen sized sofa sleeper which is very comfortable - not your typical sofa sleeper!

The upstairs has beautiful hardwood floors and eye-catching local art work. There you will find the two bedrooms, both with comfortable, king-sized beds (New King Beds Added January 2018) and french doors with private access to the balcony. There are two, beautiful bathrooms upstairs with travertine showers.

The balcony is fabulous with glimpses of the ocean! There are screens available which can be lowered, offering you shade from the sun to elongate your time spent on the balcony or to provide privacy.

This owner has thought of everything you will need for your time at the beach! You will not want to leave!

5 star house and community

My wife and I stayed here with another couple for a week. I would highly recommend this community to anyone. I'm not sure why the previous reviewer had such a bad time but I can assure you this was not our experience. The house was perfect for 4 adults. Close to the beach and town, everything is walkable if you need it to be. Yes, this is a beach community where there are rules since I'm sure people rent all the time; however, we never felt like they were excessive. The security team was friendly, kind, and never a bother. There was an issue with the shower on our first day and it was fixed same day. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a great beach vacation.

Description lacking rules, "No" before you go!

Except that there is no TV in one of the upstairs bedrooms, there is nothing really wrong with this house, but the community in which it is located has a lengthy list of rules that needs to be included in the description. I don't have enough characters for all of the rules, but here are just a few: "No wheeled traffic on the sidewalks. This includes wagons and coolers." "No use of boats, jet skis, sailboats, surfboards or kayaks from the beach." "Do not leave strollers at (beach) walkover. Please take to beach." FYI, the beach access is approximately 40 steps and fairly steep. "No food, drink, glass or animals in pool or on pool deck." "Pool hours 10 AM-Sunset." "All guests must acquire a bike permit tag from the security guards upon arrival, for use throughout your stay. Do not leave bikes in common areas." The absolute worst thing about this place is the security staff. They were RUDE and AGGRESSIVE and we felt bullied by them the entire stay. They seem to live for the "gotcha" moments, and constantly refer back to the "rules," which we did not even know about until we found them buried in a binder under a shelf on the coffee table late on our first night. Again, if the listing included this, we might not have been so surprised to be told "no" constantly in the first hour we were there. We are a quiet family of 5 who have traveled extensively with no problems except here. We have stayed in this area several times, and it's a very family friendly, laid back place normally, however this community makes what should be a great time a misery. It was so bad that I asked the property manager Gary to re-locate us, but he said he had no where to move us, and he did not offer us anything to make up for the horrible environment we were in. We spoke with several other families at the pool, and everyone had basically the same horror stories about the security staff, so we know it wasn't just us. You must have an armband to be anywhere on the property outside of the house itself, and security would not allow visitors. Speaking of armbands, our house slept 6, however only 4 armbands were provided. We were told that anyone 12 or under did not need an armband if they were with an adult, but we were terrified that our 11 year old son would be harassed by the security staff without one if we weren't with him. Gary did provide the two additional armbands when asked.We will NEVER stay here again. Make sure you know all of the "nos" before you book this property!!!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I appreciate you pointing out that there are rules and regulations to be followed by guest. The rules are in place to protect paying guest from being overrun by those who have not paid to be in the community or to use the facilities that you as a guest have paid to use. I have never had a guest experience events as you described. The rules you mentioned are clearly posted at the community entrance, the pool, on signage at the house, at the beach access and in the information binder at the house which was on top of the coffee table upon your arrival. It is common practice to not allow glass containers of any type on any pool deck or the beach for the safety of all persons.It has been my experience within the Sunset Beach community that as long as guest are courteous and follow the posted rules there are no issues with the security staff. I have never had any guest report they were "terrorized" by the security staff. I did report your claims the the HOA manager. I hope you are able to find a less threatening community for your next trip to the beach. Maybe you will be allowed to return to one of the other communities at which you have stayed in the past. For anyone with questions because of this review PLEASE read the review from the guest who stayed at the house the week before the writer of this review.

Spring Break Stay

We enjoyed our week at Sol Seeker. The location was great, close to the beach, dining and shopping. The villa was clean and well maintained. Gary was helpful and just a phone call/text away if needed. We felt safe in the gated community and the guards were friendly and attentive. We will be back soon!!

Great location!

We stayed there because we were going to the 30A wine festival in alys Beach. We were perfect walking distance between three and Rosemary. Easily walked to breakfast in the morning and the beach is so close! Great house with everything you need!

Best location and beautiful space

Hey his space is amazing! Breathtaking!!! We loved every minute and wished we stayed longer! The house was in perfect clean condition, the pool and beach are so close. The owner was very helpful and accommodating and we will be back for sure !

Fantastic condo, congested beach in high season

Sol Seeker was an excellent vacation rental with many nice details. I always pack a lot of extra things like salt and pepper, sponges, dish soap, etc., but many of these things were already in the unit, including some extra trash bags. There were even 2 beach chairs and two small umbrellas. The unit comfortably accommodates 4 people (we had 3 adults and two children and that worked out well; although, we didn't want to use the pull out and there was a very small amount of space for a twin air mattress. If you are planning to use an air mattress, keep in mind that the rooms are small. We were very pleased with how close the unit was to the boardwalk and the pool. It was an easy walk. The board walk ends with a steep set of stairs. Due to this, we didn't use the wagon we brought, but we saw others using them. It was great not being in a high rise and parking right outside your door. We spent a lot of time on the patio which was cozy and private. We visited during high summer season (2017) and were shocked at how congested the beach was. People were shuttled in to this boardwalk from the entire complex (and across the street). You can't set up pop up canopies on the beach because there isn't enough room, and I can see why. There was hardly space for setting your own chair and umbrellas up. The two private beach services were set up four rows deep (and charged $50 a day). We checked with both services and all of their first row chairs were booked. Because everyone was packed in so tight it was hard to figure out how to cut through just to walk to the ocean. We attempted getting out there early (by 6:30 a.m.), but the whole front row between the two beach chair services was taken. It's hard having young children at the beach and being unable to be near the water....more difficult building sand castles, getting through to the beach, or being able to sit in your chair while you watch them play In the water. We drove over and spent the day at Santa Clara Community Beach and it was much less congested. Thankfully, the pool at the front of the complex was not congested, I think because it was dedicated to the units close by and others had a separate pool access. Again, this was a great condo, but if congested beaches bother you, I wouldn't recommend going to this beach during high season.

Your comments on the beach being crowded are the first and only such comment I received from guest at any of the 60 properties we managed in 2017. It is true that the week of your stay, July 4th, is the absolute busiest week for area beaches. I would encourage to give the area another try and avoid the week prior, of or after a major holiday to enjoy the wonderful beaches during times when they aren't as crowded.
