We stayed here last summer. Peggy was very welcoming.
The cottage was immaculate and well stocked. We just needed our personal items and a few groceries. Even though there were other cottages in the area ours still felt private and quiet. We loved the screened front porch. The sweet little pond down the hill had all the makings for relaxed days swimming and paddling around the pond in the canoe. One important shout-out: We were looking for a special place for a night out and among Peggy's suggestions was the SNOW VILLAGE in Eaton, NH. We went and were more than happy. The food was fantastic, the gardens and views spectacular and the service was warm and friendly. We highly recommend this place to any visitors and it was a really nice drive over there so well worth it on all fronts. THANKS Peggy and Denny for such a nice stay. found the property to be perfect, clean comfortable and relaxing close to everything yet far enough out of the busy areas to hear yourself Special thanks to Peggy and Denny for helping me out when I was having car troubles , appreciated very much. would love to stay again
If you're looking for a cozy and relaxing trip, the cabin on Notch Ave is the perfect place. We felt immediately at home and aside from our personal items and groceries, it had everything we needed. There are plenty of beautiful state parks around to check out for those seeking recreational activities I'd recommend a visit to anyone who wanted to have a peaceful getaway!
Excellent stay. Cabin was very clean and the set up is very nice. Peggy was very helpful with any questions. Wish we had longer to stay.
Unexpectedly close to other residences -- not as secluded as we had hoped. The owner, Peggy, was very nice and accommodating. It made a nice hub for the various activities we pursued during our stay. Very convenient to the Kancamagus Highway, waterfall trails, and several lakes. Pleasant drive (1.5 hours or so) to Mount Washington.
Queen-size bed is VERY firm, so be ready if you are used to a plush pillow top mattress.
Cottage was as described. Very clean and neat. Well stocked with any extra item that one would need when away from home. Would definitely stay here again.
Some of our favorite summer activities in the area include: swimming, canoeing & fishing on the lake.
There is a very sweet train ride at the Silverlake Railroad, you will pass it on your drive up (15 min. away). It actually goes right past Davis Pond.
Storyland (35 min.) is a must for little ones.
Kancamagus Highway (20 min.) is a scenic drive with many hiking trails.
There is outlet shopping in North Conway’s Settler's Green (20 min.) which is popular because there is no sales tax in NH.
Mini golf at Pirate's Cove in North Conway (20 min.)
Santa's Village (1 hour)
Lost River (1 ¼ hours)
Also in the cottage you will find a binder with brochures, maps and information about the cottage, community and the area.
