About Keith & Benka
For us hospitality is a labor of love. Come join us and let us introduce you to this spectacular part of the world, where we celebrate every day of our lives. We adore life, like spoiling people and revealing secrets of cozy country living. Yes, we take our hosting very seriously and cutting corners is not our style. We guarantee we'll do our absolute best to satisfy your needs. Benka is an author holding several Guinness World Records in adventure traveling and Keith works as a foreign adviser.
Why Keith & Benka chose Park Hills
Our location in the eastern Ozarks makes the perfect base camp for daily excursions to the numerous State Parks, scenic rivers or the Mark Twain National Forest. Or, if you have a taste for fermented fruit, head east towards Farmington/Ste. Genevieve and the Route de Vin. Be sure to read Homeaway/VRBO's conditions closely regarding commissions and extra charges. We have received complaints from guests regarding their policies and charges, but we most certainly do not benefit from this. Or look for the name of our property out there in the wild, wild world.
What makes this Cottage unique
Our property is secluded enough to make you feel like you've really run away. Yet we're only one hour south of St. Louis, and minutes from the local stores and groceries.
100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
This place is peaceful! The cabin is very clean and comfortable. You can walk the trail or lie in the hammock. The hosts are very caring and thoughtful !
Peaceful, Relaxing, Heavenly
Such a wonderful expeience. Benka and Keith are super-duper hosts. The picnic basket & fresh garden greens were exquisite. Benka & Keith are a treasure. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts for sharing a little peace of heaven.
We loved having you, welcome back any time and healthy backs until then!
Wonderful place and fantastic hosts!
This is a wonderful place to get away from it all and just relax! We stayed in the cottage for two nights in April 2019 for our 24th Wedding Anniversary celebration. It was a perfect weekend away! The cottage was very clean with lots of nice little notes and extras, including a lovely Welcome basket. There is an electric fireplace and LOTS of candles to make a lovely and romantic ambiance. We also included the picnic basket in our reservation and it was ready and delivered to us when we arrived; full of delicious food that lasted all weekend!
Before we booked and then before we arrived, we found that the hosts are wonderful communicators and reply quickly to any inquires. They are very warm and welcoming and very accommodating. They also have quite interesting backgrounds and very interesting stories! We would love to just sit with them both around a campfire and just listen to them tell about all their experiences! They are very friendly whenever they see you, but give you your space and privacy, as well. :)
The hottub is wonderful...the water feels so clean; very comfortable and relaxing. There is a hammock for two available to use to just rest and relax. We never got a chance to sit around the firepit, but it was stocked with wood and ready to go if we wished to do so!
Their dog, Kora, is a fantastic guide dog on a walk through the trails on their property! She keeps her distance and is very patient as you stop to take pictures or just observe the lovely surroundings. Keith gives excellent directions and the trail is well groomed; but Kora gives a distant, but sweet reassurance that you are in the right place. :)
I highly recommend this place! This cottage is clean, peaceful, and relaxing with hosts that truly care about your comfort. We plan to return! ~Joy & Rick
Can't wait to see you on our doorstep again!
All the little things made a great stay truely wonderful!
Benka and Keith created a wonderful little cottage. The property was very well maintained and the numerous small additions really upped the feel. From the homemade butter and coffee to a great outdoor area, we enjoyed it all immensely!
It was pleasure spoiling you and revealing the secrets of country living. Our door is wide open for your return.
Good place to unplug and enjoy nature.
Good place to get away from the rat race and unwind.
Peaceful and pampered
My husband and I spent 3 lovely nights in the cottage for our 18th anniversary and were delighted by the serene location and easy access to local hiking. The property was such a delight with its wooded forest and surprises along the paths including a wooden porch swing overlooking a moss-covered, rocky gulch. WARNING: the breakfast and 14-course dinner are not for the faint of heart! Be sure to avoid filling up on the delicious bread and pace yourself :)
We loved cooking for those of you who know hot to indulge. Have fun counting years together and welcome back when you collect some more.
