Dream getaway cabin/house with incredible views close to the best Arizona has to offer. The 3 acre property borders the Kaibab National Forest and is home to the highest remaining density and distribution of old growth ponderosa pines in the Southwest. A gorgeous view of the San Francisco Peaks and Snowbowl is seen from the front deck and living room and a perfect view of Mt. Kendrick from the yard. This high-country retreat is fully connected with wi-fi, direct -TV with HBO on a large flat screen tv, and cell-phone reception on Verizon or forward your calls to the land line. Peace, quiet and solitude is built-in or take a short drive to: Flagstaff (30min) with it’s great college-town vibe, shopping and nightlife; Sedona (45min) with the stunning beauty of the red rocks, Oak Creek and art galleries; or Williams, (30min) the gateway to the Grand Canyon with it’s old-school Route 66 charm. Just minutes off of I-40 and only 1 hour to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, glimpses of which can be seen up a hill a 10 min hike from the front door.
The house has a huge king size bed in the lower main bedroom and a queen in the upstairs loft. There is cushy queen blow up mattress for extra sleepers. There are 2 full private bathrooms one upstairs and one down. The kitchen is really nice, relaxing to cook in and fully stocked with everything a home chef would desire. Toss a ball with your kids in the yard or sprawl out on the comfortable southwest furniture in front of the wood-burning stove and enjoy the view. Cozy and romantic yet spacious enough for 2+ couples or a size-able family.
Nature is poetry here. Fields of wildflowers in the summer and magical snow in the winter. The wildlife is bountiful: herds of elk and mule deer are seen roaming the meadows most every evening. It is a birders paradise- one afternoon brought 17 different birds to the feeder. Some of Arizona’s best day hikes are a short drive away. There are many things to do in the area including the Historic Grand Canyon Railway, Bearizona, the Grand Canyon Deer Farm, Snow Bowl, Lowell Observatory, N. Arizona Nordic Center, Elk Ridge Sledding Area, Sedona Pink Jeep Tours and a lot more. Stay here and unwind with the fresh mountain air and spectacular views or make it an exceptional base camp for fun and adventure!

Our say was amazingly peaceful, comfortable and quiet. The house was comfortable and clean. It starts out super cold (we came in winter) but warmed up quickly. We brought everything we needed, but they are prepared if anything is forgotten. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook and eat as a family.
Williams was a super cute town and easy to get to from the house. Great food and great people.
The drive to the Grand Canyon was easy. 2 roads and it took about an hour.
Our stay was amazing and we would recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful off the beaten path stay and still be able to see the sites!
We loved the place. It has all the amenities. Our stay was very comfortable. Peter was very very responsive. Would recommend to anyone visiting Grand Canyon and beyond.
My husband and I stayed for a long weekend and it was exactly what we needed. The cabin was clean and private. Thank goodness for the wood burning stove it got cold at night! The property backs up to the National Forest and we enjoyed a nice hike. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing vacation I highly recommend this cabin.
Oak hill sled area was 11 miles from the property and by far the best place for snow play in the area. Much better than wing mountain. Had plenty of space to ride quads. But the best part was the stunning views as well as the full cabin to make dinner with the family and play games. Many which were already supplied by the cabin.
if you enjoy the great out doors. this is the place. I would definitely go back again. Peter was very helpful in any question I needed answering.
We enjoyed out stay at the cabin. It was between Flagstaff, Sedona and Grand Canyon. We went to check out Northern Arizona University (NAU) and had so much fun exploring the area. We were lucky and got some snow when we were there, but it was just the right amount to make it an enjoying life time memory. There is a wonderful hill out the back of the property that is a good little hike up. The location is off the beaten path. It is about 15 minutes off of highway 40, and off asphalt roads. Try to go during daylight to make it easier to find the cabin.
