About Allison Warren

We live in the neighboring community of Palm City and love participating in all beautiful Stuart/Martin County has to offer: subtropical climate, proximity to great beaches, outdoor living and meeting visitors from all over the USA and the world. It is a wonderful place to visit. We bought the house for our own family and friends to have a nice place to stay. There is a shortage of nice short term rentals in our area. Why stay in a hotel when you can have your own 'home away from home' for less money?

Why Allison Warren chose Florida Central Atlantic Coast

The house was built in 1965 when quality of construction mattered including beautiful terrazzo floors throughout. The location is close to everything a visitor comes to the Treasure Coast seeking. Stuart beach is a 3.5 mile drive or bike ride over 2 causeway bridges with stunning views...which still amaze me even though I live in the area. Historic downtown Stuart 'the hub of local activity' is 1.5 miles.

What makes this house unique

The house is located in a safe, friendly neighborhood with tropical landscaping and a comfortable side patio and hammock hut in the private fenced back yard. Ready for you to relax and enjoy your stay!

Quaint, clean, nicely decorated cottage close to beaches and historic downtown.

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cottage. Location is great- 4 minutes from beautiful downtown Stuart. No more than 10 minutes from stuart beaches. We personally love Bathtub Reef On Hutchinson Island. The cottage is nicely decorated and very clean. We were provided 4 bikes for us and our two children. We used the beach chairs, beach towels and boogie boards every day. There is a washer and dryer which came in very handy. We were provided with a binder of any and all info we needed including places to eat and things to

do. We really enjoyed our stay. This house was the perfect size for our family of four. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Beach Cottage!

  • 5 of 5

This cute cottage is nicer than I ever imagined. We arrived late (around 11 PM) from a long drive from the North Georgia Mountains. Upon entry, the cottage smelled like a new home. The cottage was well equipped to make our stay feel like home. The decor was warm and inviting, and the beds were very comfortable. The location was perfect. Short drive to the beach and downtown Stuart. We have visited Stuart several times, but this trip was the best so far. Will definitely stay here again.

Perfect Cottage!

  • 5 of 5

The perfect little cottage for a small family or for a girls get away. It was very neat and tastefully decorated. We loved all the original artwork done by the owner. All the little touches were so appreciated...such as the bicycles, books, games, and most especially the book with information about Stuart. The location was easy to find and the neighborhood was very quiet. Perfect location for going to the beach....so easy to find. All of the instructions for the rental were clear and reasonable. Definitely would rent this cottage again or would recommend to friends and family.

Owner's Response: I am pleased to know you enjoyed your stay in my Stuart cottage. I can not take credit for being an artist. The local tropical theme art work displayed in the house is created by a friend, April Davis.

Another wonderful trip to Stuart!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit at the Stuart Cottage with our dog Lucy. Upon arrival, everything at the cottage was as perfect as the initial visit last September! Great choice to celebrate my 55th birthday! There is great parking for our boat and we utilized boat ramps at Ft. Pierce, Jenson Beach, and "25 cent bridge". We explored the ICW up to Hobe Sound - a great mix of tropical landscape and beautiful homes. Highly recommend that stretch of the ICW for kayaks given the width and very little boat traffic. Daily biking from the house was wonderful - learned two shortcuts out of the neighborhood to Fresh Market to pick up goodies for dinner. Enjoyed grilling at the house and eating outside on the covered patio. Biking to the downtown historic district is a great way to kick off your evening - plan to be on the city dock around sunset - it's a spectacular view. Neighborhood is very quiet, folks are friendly, and you will find yourself very comfortable walking or biking throughout the area. Guests who are serious runners will enjoy exiting the neighborhood and turning right and within a couple of blocks you'll be crossing "10 cent bridge" and then "25 cent bridge" and then make a right and on to the beaches when you get to Hutchinson Island. This part of South Florida has everything you want at your beck and call - great fishing, great food, parks, beaches, peace and quiet and a very comfortable and lovely "home away from home". Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Warren for another wonderful stay in paradise!

Perfection from start to end

  • 5 of 5

Stop! End your search now. You have just found the perfect place to stay while visiting Stuart, FL.

You feel the coziness of the house as soon as you walk in. The rooms are large and beautiful- plenty of space to spread out, as opposed to a hotel room. The kitchen is so well equipped. Having rented many vacation homes, I have to say this is the best one as far as accessories. They even have beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards for the beach. First time I didn't have to go purchase something, only to have to leave it behind.

The neighborhood is quiet and in a perfect location. Downtown is a mile and a half to the left, the beaches are two miles to the right. It couldn't be any easier. They always talk about location, location, location.

So enjoyed the 2 outside sitting areas. In the morning we would sit out front with coffee on the wrought iron patio set. At the end of the day, we thoroughly enjoyed the hammocks in the back of the house in the "hammock hut" which also houses bikes with locks and a tire pump. I tell you, no detail was left out, when thinking of the occupants of this rental. Bike riding here was a blast. Make sure to take advantage of the bikes. The terrain is flat and so bike friendly.

Bonus- there is also a washer and dryer. This house lacks nothing. Take my word for it and rent this house- you will not be disappointed. I love the feel of the house and the spaciousness.

Allison is extremely prompt with her responses and once you are there, she continues to ensure that your stay is good.

Historic Stuart, located on the picturesque St. Lucie River, was originally settled in 1880. Today Stuart is a charming, culturally diverse, historically preserved city located in one of the most beautiful environments in Florida. Historic landmarks include the Lyric Theater, the Old Martin County Court House, the Stuart Heritage Museum, and on the beach at Hutchinson Island is the House of Refuge at Gilber's Bar, a place where shipwrecked sailors, in the past, found compassion and safe harbor.

The old Florida atmosphere of 'downtown' Stuart is home to over 50 locally owned unique shops and galleries, outstanding restaurants, arts and entertainment and a gathering place for residents, visitors and tourists who arrive via boat, bike or car.

Every Sunday October - May 1:00pm - 4:00pm enjoy the free Rockin' Riverwalk Music Series located in the outdoor Riverwalk Stage overlooking the St. Lucie River in downtown Stuart.

Stuart Green Market and Live Music Sundays - year round 9:00am - 1:00pm in the City Hall annex Parking Lot....also free

Stuart Heritage Museum is open every day 10am - 3pm and Road to Victory Military Museum is open every Saturday 10am - 4pm behind the Band Shell near the courthouse. The Courthouse Cultural Center provides exhibitions and gallery viewings to showcase and promote art in the community. These are only a few of the many things to do in downtown Stuart.

Let's talk Beaches, Parks and all that the beautiful outdoor environment has to offer....Turn off your cell phone and soak up the incredible ambiance of the Martin County shore. Miles and miles of peaceful beaches, beautiful water and natural sand dunes await you, from Hobe Sound to Jensen Beach with hundreds more in between. Right smack in the middle is popular Stuart Public Beach only 3.5 mile drive or bike ride from the house. And don't forget about 'surfishing', a favorite pastime that's easy for the whole family to learn!

For hikers and bikers alike, our natural Florida terrain teems with ocean side and lakeside trails as well as preserved woodlands and wildlife parks. Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy world-class fishing within just a 10-mile radius of our St. Lucie Inlet! And whether by power or sail, you can explore our scenic waterways, including coves, islands, Lake Okeechobee and the renowned Indian River Lagoon, whose unique estuary is home to dolphins, manatees, brown pelicans and other diverse species. You can also horseback ride, bird watch or just relax at one of our many parks and beaches.

You will find a Guest Notebook in the house filled with maps and brochures of things to do, find and see (sea) in the area.

If you decide to venture out of Martin County, drive times to other areas is: Miami - 2 hours, Ft Lauderdale - 1 and 1/2 hours, Orlando - 1 and 1/2 hours, St. Augustine 3 hours. So much to see!
