Quaint Little Cabin

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our cabin very much. Every thing we needed was there, even charcoal for the grill. We received timely replies from the owner. We were very pleased we were able to bring our small dog with us. The location was relaxed and laid back. Only minutes from a small store, gas station etc. No cell service, but the wifi was perfect. We kept in contact with family very easily. They worry because I am disabled. You can see the river from the cabin, and the groomed trails were wonderful for access for me. I don't walk well, I wear leg braces and having a mowed lane to walk on helped a great deal. Made getting to the river to fish much easier. There were even chairs at the river for us to use. The sky lights in the cabin were not expected, they gave a wonderful ambiance to it. It brightened it up amazingly. The only draw back to the location was the closeness of the Rt 8 bridge over the river. Periodically we would hear large trucks go over, but nothing constant. Later in the evening it was dead quiet. I would book the cabin again, it was delightful!! I am sad to say it is for sale, I hope the new owner is as attentive to detail as Patrick is. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Lovely. Comfortable Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This was our third (or was it fourth?) stay. Beautifully situated between river and field, the cottage has all necessary comforts (including air conditioning). Very nice, helpful and and responsive owner. We'll be back!

Very nice cabins and grounds

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our weekend stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was more than adequate , and we enjoyed hanging out on the porch. We built a fire but didn't need to get close as the nights were warm. Fortunately the bugs never found out we were there.

The River was too high to wade, but we were able to cast a fly from the bank. We were there for the Ridge Rider Enduro race so fishing wasn't our primary activity. We'll be back next year!

Cute cabin with easy access to the Delaware, beautiful area!

  • 5 of 5

Cabin was very nice, clean and well supplied. It was located on a nice quiet street. To get to the river, it is just a very short walk on the property. There is a barbeque and fire pit available, charcoal and firewood were supplied. We stayed during an extremely hot week, so appreciated the cabin's air conditioning. The little village of Deposit was just a few minutes away, we ate in the restaurant Butterfields twice, the food was very good....would definitely recommend.

We booked the cabin with just a few days notice, the transaction was easy. The owner was easy to reach and helpful. Would recommend to others and will definitely be staying again.

Nice Cabin, Quiet Location, Cabin In Need of a Deep Clean

  • 2 of 5

When first arriving at the cabin we were pretty happy with location near the river and the quiet street it was on. The cabin is well outfitted with dishes, fridge, utensils, etc. However there are bugs in the cabinet, on tables, showers etc. Toilet hadn't been cleaned in ages.. Also cobwebs on the porch, ceiling of the cabin etc. Be prepared to wash all of the dishes before you use them as they are very dirty and the drawers containing silverware are filthy. Not unexpected for a hunting/fishing cabin, but paying that amount for a night for conditions such as these are unacceptable. We made the owner aware and he could care less! There's a for sale sign outside so he's not concerned with making sure you come back to stay again. With a good clean and a more responsive owner - there would be 5 stars!
