Our apartment is spacious and perfect for families or sports groups during competitions. We're located near all the attractions and we're in the heart of cyclist and triathlon country. In addition to the attractions, the apartment, is located in downtown clermont. You'll be within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and bars, as well as lakes, parks and trails.
We stayed here for a week to get away from the snow and practice for an upcoming triathlon. This place is amazing. We were shocked at how big it is and the location. It is in a quiet downtown area with lots of family owned stores and restaurants. It has a great farmers market on Sunday. The lake is a few hundred yards down the street with a pier and the start of the bike trail. There is also a sandy beach and free outside waterpark area for the kids. The national training center is about 5 miles away but it is very easy to get to. We have been to Clermont several times but this is definitely the place we will stay going forward
My apartment was very clean , comfortable and nice location off of Rt 50.
Nice town with interesting shops and overall great rental.
I would highly recommend this rental and plan on renting this apartment again next year, no reason to rent anywhere else.
We had the pleasure of staying in Historic Clermont in this apartment. The apartment overlooks Montrose Street. I can't say enough about the kindness of Chris Ballard, the landlord. Regina in his office was so accommodating with accepting mail and packages for us. For us, it was like a piece of paradise for the four months we stayed there. There is so much activity going on all the time. Every Sunday there is a great Farmers Market literally right outside our door. Once a month they have Food Truck night with live music. About every six weeks, they have a wine walk. These are just a few of the activities that go on in the downtown area. The downtown is very quaint with collectible shops, a wonderful tea shop, a great coffee shop, yogart shop and restaurants and more. We loved being able to walk to the post office, the shops and so much more in the area. The people in the area are so friendly. We are both in our sixties and we felt completely safe walking in the evening. It's a wonderful area for people of all ages. Our children and grandchildren visited and loved the area.
There are activities and events constantly going on at the lake which is right down the street. The lake area is beautiful. We loved walking it every day with our dog. There are benches, bridges to fish off, a splash pool area for children, a beach for swimming, kayak rentals, bike rentals, etc. There is a restaurant on the lake.
A very short distance away you can connect with the main highway for groceries, the chain restaurants and all kinds of shopping including the big stores like Target, Walmart, etc.
I highly recommend this rental.
This apartment was such a great idea for my friends wedding that was being held at Bella Collina in Monteverde, Fl. We were only 20 minutes away from the wedding and 45 minutes away from Epcot. Clermont is such a cute, quaint town that reminded me of something out of the movies. We ate at the Cheeser's Palace just a couple doors away and they had a great selection of food for any meal. The Ballard family was so accommodating and i would ABSOLUTELY recommend this location for anyone who is interested. I am excited to come back for my next trip!!!
Just moving to Florida from Upstate NY we were so lucky to find this gem to enjoy while we began our house-hunting. Chris & Diana were quick to answer our inquiry and answered all our questions. With great flexibility, they worked out all the details for our stay of an uncertain amount of time. They were so helpful before and during our stay and even accommodated our pets with a smile! The back deck was lovely to catch the afternoon sun. We didn't know anything about the area when we booked it but historic Clermont turned out to be a perfect place to start our new life. Just walk out the door and there are vintage shops, a block down to an amazing lake and bike/walking trail, great places to eat or grab an ice cream and even get an excellent hair cut. At night the tree lined street is aglow with white lights on all the trees. Walking home from the wine bar in the evening was always a treat. The extensive farmer's market right outside our door every Sunday was ridiculously charming. Don't miss the fresh eggs from the "egg guy"! We also enjoyed a music festival and a fine arts weekend as well right on our street. Everything is very clean and the police station is a block away but I didn't feel I needed it. The "flat" itself is gorgeous. Pictures do not do it justice. It's so spacious and takes up the whole 2nd floor of a building front to back. The bay window in the master bedroom was the best way to greet the Florida sunshine each morning. The exposed brick and 2 sets of french doors made it a chic and modern classic. Newly remodeled with granite counter tops, dishwasher and 2 full baths it lacked nothing. The place is completely equipped with everything you'd ever need to sleep, bathe, cook, eat or lounge. 3 TV's was a nice plus although most nights we just enjoyed the peacefulness of the apartment. Although the street enjoys a happy and slow bustle during the day, it is really quiet and lovely at night. Yet it's easy to get to all the attractions and parks in Orlando and has Target and lots of other stores and grocery stores nearby. Chris & Diana live right down the street and are always available if you need any help or recommendations for places to go. If you have a chance to stay here, don't pass it up! We almost wish we didn't find our dream house so quickly. We are always going to look back fondly at this special time & place.
