BATHROOM & SAUNA WITH A VIEW
Walk-in shower and a 3 to 4 person electric sauna. Just throw some water on the sauna rocks to create steam for that true Finnish sauna experience. But not only that, here whilst enjoying the sauna you have an astonishing view across the Old Town, its port and the bay of Reval. A second large ensuite bathroom with bathtub and shower is in bedroom 4.

Besides the end-cleaning our cleaning staff cleans the apartment every 3rd day. The cleaning fee of EUR 35 is separate and paid on location. If more frequent cleaning is required we can arrange this.
Standard Check-in at 5 p.m. & check-out at 12 p.m. We understand that people have flights, trains, and ferries to bring them here and to catch onwards, thus we are reasonably flexible with late check-in and early check out times.
Please note that as a standard we tend to have guests departing at 12 p.m. and then the three floors with their more than 140 sqm have to be cleaned, maintained and set-up for your arrival. We can, of course, always arrange for a brief luggage drop-off (typically at or around 2 or 2:30 p.m.), but unless an early option becomes available check-in with key hand-over and walk through of the apartment’s amenities and functions as a standard is scheduled for 5 p.m.
When you arrive in Tallinn please give us a call so that we can conveniently arrange matters for check-in resp. luggage drop-off with you.
Please note that as this is 'our castle', which we love, and treat with care - we expect our guests to feel like at home and act as if at home...
In case you need special assistance or services we can provide a vast spectrum. Please feel free to ask. If you need a cook for a special dinner, BBQ supplies including meat and salads, a tour guide in your language, a personal shopper, or a salsa instructor to get you ready for the dance floor later that evening, we can help. Just ask us. Tallinn is a gem and we can help you find things a mere hotel room or rented apartment without personal service will never give you.

The Old Town Penthouse is the perfect place to stay when visiting Tallinn, which in itself is a wonderful place to spend time. The apartment is very spacious, beautifully equipped, with comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, a washer and dryer, lovely views of the old town rooftops, and owners who are friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. The location is absolutely ideal - right in the middle of the old town, close to excellent restaurants (including Cru, directly across the street), coffee shops, the street known for local arts and crafts, the KGB Museum, and the beautiful concert hall/opera house where we enjoyed a ballet performance. Estonia truly values the arts and Tallinn offers many opportunities to share in their appreciation of music, art, and culture. And then there is the food - not at all what we expected. Every restaurant and cafe we visited offered creative, artfully prepared, and truly delicious food - never realized Tallinn was a city for foodies, but it is. Enjoy Tallinn, and if you can make the Old Town Penthouse your home away from home. You won't regret it!

This property lived up to everything advertised (providing you interpret 'penthouse suite' as meaning stairs and more stairs). The owner was very accessible and extremely helpful. History oozes out of the walls everywhere. The views are great, the ambience of the apartment is great, spotlessly clean. Lots of space, lots of crockery and cutlery etc (a kitchen with scissors!). Even a range of condiments, dried herbs, etc. The location is handy to everything a tourist would want, buses, trains, trams, taxis. But the penthouse is so nice, that just putting your feet up and chilling out even feels good.
High quality apartment has everything you need. Location is perfect. The owner was always quick to respond and very helpful giving us many tips.
There might be cheaper apartments around but this one is the best!
This is a beautifully updated old building in the heart of old city Tallinn. Everything you need is nearby -- museums, restaurants, etc. Apartment is clean, roomy, convenient and quiet. Host is very knowledgeable and responsive to any needs. What an amazing experience! Recommend without reservation

No street shoes must be worn inside, we have a beautifully restored hardwood oak parquet, and as much as we are delighted by beautiful men’s shoes and women’s high heels they tend to be detrimental to the living areas.
No excessive or disturbing noise or any such ruckus from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Please be as considerate to our dear and friendly neighbours and us in the house as you would expect at home. In the common building stairway absolutely no excessively loud talking, laughing, yelling, or running up or down the stairs due to the echoing in the quaint stairway. For the sake of good order we cannot and will not tolerate raucous parties and any cavalier approach to the premises or its security. Any of such items will trigger you having to vacate the place without a refund as per the our terms as stated in alignment with all of our booking platforms. Fortunately, with hundreds of guests we were only forced twice to resort to such action.
The lock to the main door of the flat is to be shut at all times. The house has a beautiful cast iron gate which will be closed after midnight. The green ground entrance door is to be shut at all time. You will be provided with two sets of keys. Loss of any of the keys requires us to change all of the locks: cast iron gate, ground entrance door and main doors. As the former two are also relevant to the restaurant, shop, beauty salon and museum staff on the ground and 1st upper floor as well as other private tenants in the atrium back house and 3rd floor such a replacement is a tremendously cumbersome and costly issue which will exceed your base refundable security deposit of EUR 350.
Please put all dirty dishes and glasses in the dishwasher or if too sizeable or wooden wash them right away. Note that the Miele dishwasher has a practical cutlery drawer as a top shelf. Do not put the espresso coffee maker to the dishwasher. Please put towels in the hamper.
