A Sleepy Bear's Dream is literally, as the name suggests, a dream. It sleeps up to 7 in two bedrooms and a sleeping loft, which overlooks the great room. In the middle of the great room is a 21 ft. tall tree which supports the main beams of the building. The front of the house has a bow shaped deck which extends over the water where fish are eagerly awaiting a handout [fish feed provided]. Both bedrooms have private balconies, and there are huge outdoor living spaces on each side of the building. The loft has its own set of balconies which can be reached through patio doors. When one is upstairs and looks over the great room to the water, sometimes, there is the illusion the building is moving. One has to be careful not to get seasick when the wind makes waves move in a certain direction. Throughout the cabin can be found examples of local craftsmen's talents, from the structure itself, which was owner designed with the assistance of M&S Log Homes and built by a local artisan, to the railings and the furniture, again which were created by local folk from locally acquired materials. A large recreation area is located on the ground floor. A hot tub, a pool table, and an exercise bike are now available. In the near future, there are plans for table tennis and a game table.

My family had a wonderful time at this cabin. It was everything we were expecting it to be and would definitely come back. It was the perfect get-away for family bonding and great times with friends around the campfire.
We had an amazing time on our week long getaway. It was "A pure paradise of solitude". Our kids came down at different times, so there was a lot of in and out going on. The Cabin/House was spectacular and so clean with everything that you could possibly need. Surprising to all of us was the comfort of the beds and pillows. Usually a place is nice, but the comfort leaves a lot to be desired. Another amazing factor was the beauty as well as cleanliness of the lake. Our grandson and his friend had the time of their lives using their paddle boats all around, exploring and swimming. The trails were so well taken care of, no weeds to go through and the views, spectacular. It's so close to the Gorge and Natural Bridge. We will defiantly be back for future vacations.
PS) The cat fish are huge and love hot dogs...
PSS) Go to Stanton if you want a good grocery store, Kroger. They are small but so friendly.
We found this secluded spot while looking for a place for my wife, I and our 10 month old son to visit with family while in town from Oregon. Having grown up in the gorge and an avid fisherman; this place was ideal. We didn't even have to leave the property to take advantage of so many of the natural surroundings. Very clean and comfortable with great space. I look forward to returning for a longer stay!
Great property. Clean and well kept. Owners were very helpful.
We had a very peaceful and quiet stay for our entire vacation. Close to Natural Bridge Park and very relaxing looking out over the lake. With three children the cabin was perfect for them looking out from the upstairs loft and walking the trails with the very friendly "big puppies!"
A great place to get away and relax. The cabin was clean and welcoming and the lake view was amazing! We loved taking the canoe out on the lake in the mornings, it was very quiet and peaceful.
The lake house was the perfect place to come back to and relax after a long hike at Natural Bridge.
I would definitely recommend this place for others.
