5 star cabin, definetely recommend!

Loved staying at this cabin during Thanksgiving! Charming location, everything we needed in the cabin, and plenty of room for our family. The children especially LOVED the creek, the apple tree, and having the opportunity to explore the trails!

This cabin is by far one of the cleanest we've ever stayed in!! Plenty of room inside and out. We LOVED hearing the creek especially at night. The only negative is it has no TV. And I didn't really consider that to be a negative for us. However, they do have WiFi, so if you take your laptop, you can still watch any programs that are available online. :-) It is also very remote, but that was no surprise. It is in the mountains, after all.

Thanks for your help and hospitality, Mary!

Great house, make sure it the right location for you

  • 3 of 5

We wanted to spend some family time together for our Grandmother's 87th Birthday. The house was fantastic for spending family time. The outdoor space if fabulous! We truly enjoyed the outdoor patio, running creek, lawn space and fire pit (we did make a fire). The house is new. Down side is that the property is very remote. A drive to the nearest grocery store is 45 minutes, mostly of extremely windy narrow roads. The view from the patio straight across the street is horrible, the neighbors have a property full of cars, trailers, barns, etc. not a pleasant view.

Owner's Response: The view across the street of the farm that has been here for over 150 years is not visible when the leaves are out and just a slight angle of the chair on the porch and you see a wonderful view of the mountains. The view of the creek is always calming. Yes you will want to make sure you have groceries before you arrive.

Very clean and quiet getaway.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was very well kept and close to the quaint community of Trust. Finished basement provides a lot of extra room for families with kids.

About Mary Zoch

A transplant to the western North Carolina mountains, who loves nature and hiking.

Mary Zoch purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Mary Zoch chose Hot Springs

We built this cabin on our property in 2014 to share the lovely views and creek with visitors.

What makes this cabin unique

The cabin is a getaway from it all place to relax and unwind. There is no cell service. There are great outdoor activities in Hot Springs and Asheville is nearby. Centrally located you could visit the Smokies and Asheville as well as other great spots of Waynesville and Hot Springs.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Mary was very helpful with all the questions we had for her. We had a great time at Apple Cabin on the Creek, we truly wish we had stayed longer. It was the perfect spot to get some R&R. The cabin was spacious and well equipped. Like other visitors, we loved the wooden stove! The cabin is conveniently located about 50 minutes away from Asheville, so it fit perfectly into our plans. The drive there offers some wonderful mountain views. Absolutely would recommend!
