Fully equipped and furnished 3/2 beach house that accommodates up to 6 people comfortably.

This house is located just 3 blocks from the beautiful white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and across the street from a canal where you might just catch a glimpse of the beloved area manatees. Find a trolley stop just 2 blocks from the house where you can be picked up/dropped off every 15 minutes throughout the day and carried all over the island to restaurants, piers, shopping, watersport activities, and other beaches free of charge.

If you don't feel like going out, enjoy your home cooked meals on the front deck with water views, or on the back deck in the privacy fenced in back yard!

The master bedroom is home to a King sized bed and a bathroom with a large shower, double sink, and washer and dryer. The 2nd bedroom has a full bed and the third bedroom houses 2 twin beds. Plenty of room for everyone!

About Sarah Wilson

The Barker family moved to the area in 2013 due to a career decision. Having spent most of our lives in Charleston, SC, we felt comfortable with the area because it is a lot like home! :) We love the island and don't plan on leaving for a long time. We purchased this home to live in, but are currently involved in a rental contract at another home. We will be renting this property until we are able to move our family into it.

Anna Maria Island's Centrally Located Beach House

This was a real find, on a quiet street, equal walking distance to the Gulf & the Bay & the accommodations were perfect for a longer stay. We enjoyed cooking some of our own meals & relaxing in between sightseeing. The house was well equiped.

Needs a lot of care

The bad: ant infestation, termites, cockroaches, evidence of rodents, filth on top of the refrigerator, in the corners, inside drawers, etc.

The good: owner was responsive, refunded most of our fees, so we found a different home and left after 1/4 of our planned time.

Leasing this home was a nightmare. The entire property was infested with ants (at least three hives of millions of ants in the backyard alone); we had to take a chunk of time out of our vacation to manage cleaners, exterminators and to find a new property to lease. The property had so obviously not been maintained and we ended up having to deal with it. Every day two or three times a day the master bathroom had to be cleaned - live and dead ants were all over the floors, sinks, shower and towels. It was disgusting.

On the first day we saw ants in the master bathroom. By the next day they were in many places in large volumes. Owner sent an exterminator which we hosted. That is when the rodent droppings were obvious under the kitchen sink, in closets, behind chairs and around the AC/furnace. Multiple ant nests were found outside, likely there for a long time. This is when we told the owner we wanted to vacate if we could find another rental for our month. We did find another home to rent and began to negotiate. reduced payment for the days we were there. We asked to pay nothing due to the situation. The owner was frustrated with our $0 request, claiming she didn't have to refund anything if she didn't want to. We finally agreed to a reduced daily fee.

In general, the location was good, neighborhood quiet, three blocks from the beach. The grounds and exterior needed much more attention. For example, the awnings shown in the picture are gone. The fence had gaps we had to find material to close so our dogs would not escape. We would not go back to this home.

Wonderful Staycation

The Cozy Beach House was the perfect place for us for a family staycation. It was clean, well stocked with kitchen wares and other amenities, and in a great location to walk to the beach. With having all the comforts of home, away from home, it made our family summer vacation a relaxing, enjoyable time.
