It is open and airy, a great family home and can accommodate 2 families comfortably, 2 levels with 2 separate living areas, 2 Master King bedroom suites upstairs and 2 Master King Suites downstairs (1 room also has an additional twin bed) and there is a separate room (yoga/playroom) with an additional punee bed for another guest.
Literally a stones throw to Hanalei Bay and a quick walk or bike ride into downtown Hanalei which offers wonderful restaurants, shopping, health/natural foods market, kayak and SUP and surf board rentals. A 15 minute picturesque drive up the coast to Ke'e Beach and the Napali Coast trail head.

The house was perfect for our extended family. It had every modern amenity, plus was across the street from the beach and walking distance to the center of town. The mountain views from the top floor were amazing. Most impressive was Pure Kauai, who took care of our every need. We did not want to leave. We definitely recommend the property and highly recommend booking it through Pure Kauai.
We book this wonderful house for a week to celebrate our 40th anniversary with our 3 grown sons and their wives. The house is spacious and we never felt that we didn't have room to spread out. The kitchen on the top floor is the "working" kitchen, we used the downstairs kitchen to store extra food and drinks in the frig and to store our Costco purchases and just brought everything up when needed.
The highlight for the 3 "30 something couples" was having our own bathrooms for each bedroom. It gave an amount of privacy that made the week even better.
This house is really close to the beach and to the town. Yes, you can walk everywhere and that Hanalei Bay is so large we never felt like we were fighting crowds.
There is a wonderful farmers market on Tuesdays just up the road past Hanalei, it is a great place to get fresh local produce and don't forget to stop at the "pie Lady" and purchase a slice or a whole pie. We had it for dessert one night and loved the passion fruit cheesecake.
Our island host, Justin, was great. He answered all our questions and arranged outings for us and even a private surf lesson for 3 of our kids.
We would rent this home again if we are in the north side of kauai. We felt safe and tucked away a bit from the town. Ke'e and Tunnels Beach are literally 17 minutes away enabling us to get there earlier than the Poipu crowd and find a parking spot without having to drive an hour.
We loved eating at Postcards Cafe (reservations needed) it was a delightful way to end our celebration week.
What a GREAT house! ALL the amenities...twice (coffee makers, washer/dryers/toasters, silverware). Beautiful bedrooms, plush bedding/towels. Amenities like boogie boards, beach chairs, mats, a cooler, beach towels....all there. Pure Kauai is on top of it all. Quick to respond to all our inquiries and needs. I would highly recommend this property and Pure Kauai to book through.
We just returned from a week at Hale Aku and can't say enough about what a lovely home it is. Our family of six had ample room to spread out and make ourselves comfortable. The house is less than a half block walk to the beach and about 1.5 blocks to Hananlei-we walked everywhere and felt comfortable with our teens doing the same. The property was well equipped with a lovely kitchen, comfortable beds and beautiful views of the mountains. Heads-up that there is not a lot of outdoor space as land is at a premium this close to the beach but we enjoyed the balconies and large windows. We are already looking forward to returning!
We stayed with two other couples and our experience was phenomenal. The house is spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean with stunning views of the mountains. It was the perfect place to go with friends as there was plenty of room for everyone to convene and spend time together but the bedrooms are all very private with their own full bathrooms. The design is simple an beautiful with gorgeous wooden doors and floors and huge floor to ceiling windows. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped. I've stayed at rental homes with friends before and found myself using makeshift colanders, etc. and this really had everything we needed. It's a block from the beach and a block from restaurants, shops, and a grocery store.
I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

Holy moly this was an AMAZING place! I can't even begin to tell you how gorgeous it is. The house is beautifully designed and decorated with great light and views toward the waterfall. Everything was taken care of and thought through, from the fresh flowers on the table, to the beach items and well-stocked kitchen. The design of the house is quite special with care taken in every corner. It is certainly one of the nicest houses in town. This was a luxurious stay. We walked into town every night and to the beach every day with some great excursions to the waterfall and beaches on the north side of the island. A perfect place for a group of friends (we were three couples sharing the house), but a few families or a big family would feel comfortable as well. The lanai was fun with the ping pong table. Thank you to the owners who have certainly taken care to make a special place for guests to enjoy.
