Just below the original woodsy one lane road that connected Hammondsport and Penn Yan, sits our cottage on the water. Our very quiet one lane road is ideal for hikers, bikers, dog-walking, and roller-bladers.
Our cottage is hassle-free. No Stairs allows you to unload luggage and groceries quickly and start to relax. We have totally renovated this cottage with all new furnishings, appliances, and decorations.
The kitchen is equipped with all new, water/ice through the door refrigerator, dishwasher, electric stove and microwave. Air-conditioning and heat is provided by the state of the art silent Mitsubishi heat pump system. We have one queen bed, one full bed, and two twin beds configured in bunk beds. There is a Samsung HD flatscreen TV with 250 cable channels for your enjoyment. Wifi is also available.
There is a huge wrap around deck with a partial cover for those inclement days. For your grilling pleasure there is a professional 5 burner propane grill. Also available is plenty of lawn furniture. A fire pit is fun on the beautiful nights. Also a dock with a diving board will please the kids while they are fishing for your dinner. The boathouse is handy for those of you who bring along your boat; it will safely store a small boat.
If your needs are for more accommodations, please see our other property on HomeAway #3804509. We would be happy to combine the two in a package deal for you!
Keuka Lake is a special place for us and we have owned properties there since the late 70's. We moved from Rochester to Tampa Bay, FL in 1990. We now own two cottages side by side and are looking forward to completing our third one in 2015.
Bob Guinan purchased this cottage in 2011
We bought the cottage next door in 2004, renovated it, and loved it so much, we bought this one when it became available.
Eastside, drive to, near Hammondsport and the wineries, good fishing, enclosed boathouse, and a resort feel.
Yes! Absolutely, I would rate our experience at 5 👍😊 thank you so much.
Thanks so much for sharing your cottage with us. :). We had a wonderful stay! We made it to 7 of the 8 wineries on the wine trail BBQ, along with a half dozen breweries, throw in a few of our favorite wineries that weren't on the ticket..... And I make it sound like were a lot of alcoholics!! Lol...... But seriously, the cottage was very adequate , clean, and somehow the 5 of us made 1 bathroom work , and it worked well! We had a cookout night, and a pasta night and the kitchen was well supplied, except we could of used a pot holder or two, and we couldn't find a cutting board......(just a few ideas)......beds comfy, nicely decorated, bright and airy. :)
But mostly we enjoyed the decks, the dock, and those awesome views!! We shared your business card with my sons friends that own a house on keuka, as they have a large family, and friends and are always looking for something nice for them.
I'll leave you with a funny story...... My son and daughter n law were returning from supper at Olney place, my husband was in the lake and michael thought it would b funny to run and jump in the lake and give him a heart attack....... Michael left his wallet, phone, and wedding ring on the deck railing by the steps ( they parked up above the cottage). After succeeding giving his dad a good scare, he returned to collect his stuff, two chipmunks ran by him, and karma got him! He dropped the wedding ring and watched it roll right down one of the only cracks it could of fell thru...... So it's under your deck by the side door! Now if this was an expensive ring, we certainly would of called you and asked if maybe a board could of been raised, but it was his 3rd!! Lost ring in their 5 years of marriage! A department store bargain!! Lol it was a little big...... They're shopping for another! But one day you might b sitting there in the deck, maybe after a good hard rain.... And see a silver wedding band come rolling into the yard.... And remember our story. :). Thanks again..... And hopefully well be back :)

Now that's the way to do it!
What a wonderful place to stay on Keuka Lake!! The house was adorable, clean, amazing views, and location couldn't be better. Highly recommend this property. We will definitely be back!
We stayed here for a long weekend in October. It was the perfect cottage to stay at for a weekend of wine tasting, eating, and hanging with friends. It was clean and well maintained. The bedrooms were cozy, comfortable, and very quiet. Loved that the living room looked right out onto the lake and that there was plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the lake view. This property has one parking spot where you can pull right up to the house. The other parking spot is on the road above the house. The steps down to the house from the road are quite steep so if you want or need to park two cars close to the house, I would suggest renting the other property by the same owners as you can park two cars by that house. We would definitely rent this house again!
We had a lovely stay at Bob and Karen's cottage. Love the clean, elegant but relaxing cottage, close to the lake and beautiful Hammandsport- looking forward to our next visit in October. Highly recommended
Great place to stay. It was comfortable and clean. Great location near Hamondsport. We will be back again.
This cottage was the ultimate summer vacation home. I would highly recommend this for any group of people. We stayed with friends from out of town- it slept six people comfortably. The cottage was clean, bright, happy and beautiful. The view is the best! The Guinan's were so accommodating. We will be back next year!
My husband and two children (Ages 6 and 8) loved our stay at Keuka Lake. This cottage was perfect for us in every way! It is very well equipped with everything you might need with a beautiful view to wake up to every morning. Very clean. It was really nice to be able to drive right down to the cottage rather than unloading and loading via the steep steps. We enjoyed the kayaks, canoe and appreciated the supplied fire wood...and the welcome bottle of wine and note. The deck and porch were the perfect place to read, relax, and build beach towel tents! My kids caught tons of fish right off the dock and enjoyed swimming in the clear water! I enjoyed the road behind the cottage for morning walks with the dog. This cottage is right on the water and has a nice size front yard. It is close to town for groceries and touring. We will certainly request to rent this cottage again when we plan another trip to Keuka Lake.
