The building is ideally located between Place Gambetta and the City Hall, on a charming and lively street of art galleries and antiques dealers housed in stone buildings of the 18th and 19th centuries.
With 50 square meters (540 sq ft) of space, it has a large living room with dining area and corner office space, a fully equipped kitchen, one bedroom with a large armoire, and an atypically large (for a European apartment) bathroom with bathtub and shower. The southwest-facing living room is graced with tall French doors which open to two small balconies overlooking the street.
It comes perfectly equipped with WiFi, washing machine, towels, sheets, and everything you need in the kitchen.
There is a large selection of books and magazines in French and English.
You will be warmly greeted in English or French by a bilingual host, happy to get you well-oriented and offer advice on things to see and do.
You'll find yourself in the middle of one of the most charming and lively neighborhoods in the city, with every amenity.
Though you will find dozens of restaurants, brasseries and bars within close proximity, there are no bars or restaurants on the Rue Bouffard. So, you can be assured of a good and quiet night's sleep.
There is an excellent bakery around the corner, as well as patissiers, chocolatiers, etc. There's a supermarket within very easy walking distance.
The entire city center is a beautiful preserved UNESCO world heritage site, and the building is located on the former ramparts of the old medieval city.
The apartment is easily accessed by tram, and it's easy to get around.

Nous avons pu passer 8 jours dans votre appartement . C'est un lieu très "moelleux". Une retraite où on peut être soi-même. Pas moderne et pas trop propre, mais un lieu vivant, ça nous plaît et c'est ce qu'on appelle la vie.

We thoroughly enjoyed our home away from home on Rue Bouffard. The property was as described and had a lived-in feel — lots of books, personal possessions etc. Good reading lights and a little writing desk, roomy bathroom, plenty of closet space. Kitchen small but had everything we needed, including spices and condiments, coffee and tea etc. Coffee maker was a small espresso pot, just like the one we have at home. Location was perfect, within walking distance of everything in the core city plus close to trams and bus stops. Many good restaurants nearby. Our host, Steven, was out of town so we never met him, but his friend was there to greet us and show us around, and he worked nearby if we needed him. Parking might be a problem, but we didn't have a car and didn't need one. The property was easy to get to by bus from the airport, then a short walk from Place Gambetta. The front door key was tricky, but we finally mastered it (with the help of a friendly neighbor). The steep spiral staircase up two flights from the ground floor would make it difficult for anyone with disabilities or heavy luggage, but we are in our eighties and had no problems. No TV but we didn't miss it. This was the perfect place for us and we would recommend it. Don't miss the Chartrons Sunday market!
