Our apartment is on the second floor of a lovely historic building in the very centre of Charlottetown, located above the café that we operate on the first floor. Despite its central location, the building is quiet: the apartment is located at the back of the building, and the building itself is old enough that sound doesn't carry. So you'll enjoy a calm oasis, but will be walking distance to everything: Province House, the Confederation Centre of the Arts, historic Olde Charlottetown, the waterfront (home to PEI 2014 celebrations this summer!), and Victoria Park are all close by.
The daily price includes breakfast at Casa Mia Cafe downstairs from your unit.
Located on Queen Street, the building was constructed in 1922 as the home to the S.A. MacDonald store and operated for many years in that capacity, with a new brick facade added in 1948. Queen Street is the historic commercial centre of Charlottetown: Woolworth's was once next door, and a variety of dry goods shops and institutions have populated the street over the years. In recent times this section of Queen Street has played home to restaurants, merchants and offices; the proximity to the Victoria Row restaurant district and the burgeoning Lower Queen area has breathed new life into the area.
Just downstairs from the apartment on the first floor is Casa Mia Café, which we opened in 2007. Casa Mia serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has a lovely sidewalk patio. As part of your stay in the apartment, the coffee is on us every morning, so all you need to do is come downstairs. Casa Mia is a family-friendly restaurant and we don't serve alcohol or stay open late into the evening, so you've nothing to fear from its close proximity.
We renovated the apartment on the second floor several years ago, installing new floors, a completely new bathroom, modern kitchen and new furniture. You'll enjoy a fresh, clean space without clutter, but with everything you need to enjoy your stay: a fully-equipped kitchen, high-quality linens, a comfortable, brand-new bed.

We spent 5 days at Casa Mia. The apartment was well equipped with everything we could possible need. Nicely decorated, Very modern and up to date. It gave us easy access for touring downtown Charlottetown. The breakfasts were amazing. Beautifully presented, with lots of choices and delicious. Gina and her husband were gracious hosts answering all of our questions and ensuring that we were comfortable. Will definitely book again on our next trip to PEI.

Parking is not included so you have to feed the meter during the day.
Great condo, very updated second floor unit. No elevator and every morning the garbage truck comes at 6am! Very clean and wonderful breakfast included. Needs black out curtains in bedroom, street light in alleyway shines into bedroom
This spotlessly clean, well furnished apartment is right in the heart of Charlottetown, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, theatres. Breakfast in the Casa Mia is included in the room rate and is a great added-value. Everything on the menu is included from toast to a full cooked breakfast. Our flight was delayed, and we didn't arrive in Charlottetown until 2am. By the time we retrieved our luggage and grabbed a taxi to the apartment, it was closer to 3am. And there waiting to greet us, were the owners of the apartment. That was definitely going "above and beyond!" There were, however, a couple of negatives: the bedroom is located at the back of the building, overlooking the rear parking lot with truck access for deliveries and garbage pick-up. It was quite noisy, with what appeared to be daily, early morning garbage pick-up.The only other negative was the lack of room darkening window coverings. This was only an issue because the parking lot was lit with security flood lights. That meant the bedroom was illuminated too! It was so bright I could read my book without putting the bedroom light on. We did all the standard touristy things: walked the boardwalk; visited Anne of Green Gables (lovely); rented a car and drove all over the island, had wonderful seafood at the Water Prince Corner Shop; ice cream from Cows; lobster, lobster and more lobster, Rick's fish and chips in St. Peters and the Blue Mussel restaurant in North Rustico Harbour were wonderful The Olde Triangle Pub is definitely worth a visit. Food is good and the Celtic music is not to be missed. Loved every minute of out stay; we can't wait to go again.
The apartment is beautiful and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. It is in a perfect downtown location where you can easily walk to many stores as well as to the shops at Peaks Quay. The waterfront boardwalk is also within walking distance. The breakfasts at Casa Mia are delicious with great customer service.
My sister and I stayed here for five nights and we absolutely loved it. It is far bigger than it appears in the pictures and it is completely outfitted. Our only regret was that we did not use it to it's full potential. It is so handy to everything, and is perfect if you want to have dinner and wine on Victoria Row and then walk back to the apartment. You could also invite friends back for drinks. I can't say enough about the breakfasts at Casa Mia...delicious!
