Our apartment is on the second floor of a lovely historic building in the very centre of Charlottetown, located above the café that we operate on the first floor. Despite its central location, the building is quiet: the apartment is located at the back of the building, and the building itself is old enough that sound doesn't carry. So you'll enjoy a calm oasis, but will be walking distance to everything: Province House, the Confederation Centre of the Arts, historic Olde Charlottetown, the waterfront (home to PEI 2014 celebrations this summer!), and Victoria Park are all close by.

The daily price includes breakfast at Casa Mia Cafe downstairs from your unit.

Located on Queen Street, the building was constructed in 1922 as the home to the S.A. MacDonald store and operated for many years in that capacity, with a new brick facade added in 1948. Queen Street is the historic commercial centre of Charlottetown: Woolworth's was once next door, and a variety of dry goods shops and institutions have populated the street over the years. In recent times this section of Queen Street has played home to restaurants, merchants and offices; the proximity to the Victoria Row restaurant district and the burgeoning Lower Queen area has breathed new life into the area.

Just downstairs from the apartment on the first floor is Casa Mia Café, which we opened in 2007. Casa Mia serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has a lovely sidewalk patio. As part of your stay in the apartment, the coffee is on us every morning, so all you need to do is come downstairs. Casa Mia is a family-friendly restaurant and we don't serve alcohol or stay open late into the evening, so you've nothing to fear from its close proximity.

We renovated the apartment on the second floor several years ago, installing new floors, a completely new bathroom, modern kitchen and new furniture. You'll enjoy a fresh, clean space without clutter, but with everything you need to enjoy your stay: a fully-equipped kitchen, high-quality linens, a comfortable, brand-new bed.

Wonderful week at Casa Mia

My husband and I had a great week in apartment #4 above Casa Mia Cafe. First, let me say the food at the Cafe was excellent. We enjoyed our daily breakfast and sat outside whenever the weather permitted. Gina and her staff were all hospitable and charming. The apartment was so centrally located, clean and comfortable. We could walk to theatre, tons of restaurants, the waterfront and parks. The only time we used the car was to take costal drives around the island. Make sure you see the musicals at the many locations within a block of the apartment. We saw 4 and the we're all excellent. We booked tickets a few months before we left and had front row seats for a very reasonable price. However, tickets were available same day too.

This is a perfect location if you like to keep busy and explore. The only downside to the apartment was the lack of windows. There are two in the bedroom but the look out to the parking garage and are over the trash bins. The rest of the apartment is the interior of an old historic building. It's well lit and has charm while feeling modern and clean.

The kitchen has full sized range, stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher and had basic supplies for light cooking. It's stocked more than a hotel kitchen but less of than a home kitchen. It worked well for our travel needs.

Excellent location. Lovely and spacious apartment. Gina was very friendly and great to deal with. Bonus was the delicious breakfasts at Casa Mia Cafe, which were included in the price. Would stay here again.

Our stay at Casa Mia down town was wonderful. Great location, clean, fully equipped with everything you need & more. The breakfast was delious & the staff was great. Gina & Noosh were wonderful host.

Fabulous, comfortable, clean and perfect location.

We spent 5 days at Casa Mia. The apartment was well equipped with everything we could possible need. Nicely decorated, Very modern and up to date. It gave us easy access for touring downtown Charlottetown. The breakfasts were amazing. Beautifully presented, with lots of choices and delicious. Gina and her husband were gracious hosts answering all of our questions and ensuring that we were comfortable. Will definitely book again on our next trip to PEI.

Great location. Very nice one-bedroom apartment. Clean, comfortable and a great restaurant right downstairs. Host could not have been more helpful!
