About Virginia Huber
I have been living in Montreal since I graduated from the Universityof Western Ontario. I was fascinated by the city as a little girl and there was no question that it was the place for me to make my way in life. I made my career in Montreal's fashion industry and now that I am retired, I split my time between Montreal and my second home in Stowe Vermont. I have the best of both worlds..an exciting, sophisticated, international city with out of this world restaurants and a delightful country retreat with all sorts of athletic outdoorsy things to do. Do come and visit either of my favourite places and see what I am so in love with. You can see my Stowe property as # 248825 on Homeaway's site.
Virginia Huber purchased this Townhouse in 1974
Why Virginia Huber chose Westmount
MY grand father was an architect in England and I think the love of houses, especially those with old bones, is in my blood. I bought this house when I was young and foolish, but in fact it was the smartest thing I could ever have done. It was a forced savings program for me and instead of buying more shoes and handbags, I paid my mortgage and now this wonderful house is paying me back.
What makes this Townhouse unique
The very special thing about this house is that it is in the most charming neighbourhood. Westmount is rather exclusive, but where I live on a street just off Sherbrooke St, there is a real village feeling with everything you could possibly need within walking distance. It is an old district, so the trees are mature and there is a quiet elegance in the Victorian architecture.

Lovely apartment in Montreal
This was our first visit to Montreal and our focus was the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix. This apartment is located in a charming upscale neighborhood outside of downtown Montreal. For us, it was perfect! The grocery store and restaurants were right around the corner and it was a short walk to access the metro. What we loved most about this property was that we could just walk to downtown (or Old Montreal) and have all the excitement of activities and restaurants associated with the race weekend OR we could just walk the neighborhood and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere there. It was so ideal! Mount Royal and St. Joseph’s Basilica were within walking distance and everything in this area is so beautiful!
The property was also ideal for two couples as the bedrooms were on separate floors. The kitchen had everything I needed for cooking in as well.
Virginia is an exceptional hostess! The checkin and checkout was so simple and she is very responsive and personable to work with. This entire rental experience was great and we would certainly both recommend and stay at this place again without any hesitation.
Very nice and in a good location
Loved having Pete and his family. They were excellent guests too.
Beautiful! Comfortable! Such a welcoming home!
Virginia's home is an absolute pleasure to stay at!! So comfortable and home like, well appointed and decorated, fantastic location close to downtown Montreal, and Virginia is so accommodating to work with! We were six adults on the main and lower levels - and all of us would return without hesitation. And there are so many options for small or large groups in the home. Virginia is a wonderful host!
It makes me so happy when people like you enjoy my home. Come again any time.
Great house in a great neighborhood
Our family of five had a wonderful time at Virginia's 318 apartment. The house is very well appointed, ample and airy. We felt very comfortable, as if living in our home, but in another city.
The location is excellent, conveniently situated just one block away from the local shopping strip, where you can find restaurants, cafes, shops, pharmacies and also a supermarket. Montreal downtown is 10 minutes away by car, 15 by public transportation and 45 if you decide to walk. Westmount's Library park, two blocks from the house, provided plenty of space for our kids to run and play away any energy they had left at the end of the day.
Being able to park off the street was a significant plus.
Great house, clean and confortable.
Everything works fine and its located 10 minutes from everything.
Lovely, welcoming, nicely equipped, apt
Located in a nice community with short walk to shops and good bus transport to central Montreal. Off street parking a possibility.
320 is the whole second floor. Open feeling, bright and cheery.
The apartment's 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are very nice.
The kitchen is well equipped. The living room and dining room are very welcoming and suitable for 6 people.
The temperature was minus 15 degrees F (!) during our stay and the apartment toasty.
Virginia was out of town, but left good recommendations and kept in contact to be sure that all was going well.
It was a pleasure having John and his boys staying in my apt. I was sorry to have missed them as I had to stay in Vermont recovering from an after the Holidays flu.
The property is located in elegant Westmount,Montreal's premier neighborhood. The tree lined street is quiet, yet close to parks, a world class library, shops and restaurants and minutes to downtown Montreal. The Vendome metro is 3 blocks away and the #24 bus is at the end of the road and goes all along Sherbrooke St.
My building has a 3 bedroom, two bathroom apt on the second floor at 320 Grosvenor. There is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom on the ground floor and the front part of the basement at 318 Grosvenor. There is also a efficiency apt at the back of the basement with a private garden entrance. This can open up and connect with the ground floor apt at 318 Grosvenor.
