This was our groups 14th Ski Trip to Telluride. This year we had 5 professional guys 64 and over who love to ski hard all day and spend quiet nights in a nice place. The kitchen was very nicely updated and well equipped for our crew who likes to eat breakfast and some dinners in and go to bed early. Very good location close to the Coonskin Lift and right on the Galloping Goose line for easy access to the Gondola and all of the town. Sure don't need a car in Telluride. The Condo was clean and comfortable, excellent WiFi, and felt like home. The bedroom with the two twin beds was a little tight for two big guys but we made it work. The bunk bed room is small and really designed for kids but we made it work also. Bealtiful master and queen bedroom. Overall, nice place. This Condo would be ideal for a family with kids.
The remote controlled fireplace was a wonderful feature. The house has a fantastic kitchen and plenty of room for my family of 5. Huge windows allow you to feel like you are in the snowy mountains while being warmed by the fire. The ski resort was not open for skiing but we rode the gondola, went sledding and took a snowmobile tour to a ghost town. Great stay!!
This property is perfect. We had an amazing 3 night stay...couldn't have enjoyed it anymore!!! Already looking forward to next year!
We had a great time at Powder Daze. the location is perfect walking distance to bars and restaurants and lifts. The view is beautiful all times of the day. The kitchen is very well appointed for a vacation rental - it truly has everything you might need.
From the moment we made our reservation, to the moment we returned home, the property management personnel and the condo itself were GREAT! The condo was VERY clean and EXTREMELY well equipped...have never seen a rental unit's kitchen so well equipped! The living room/dining room has a 180 degree view...you see sunrise and sunset while looking up the mountain. Would say more, but we selfishly want to keep this beauty to ourselves!
Our visit to Powder Daze turned out to be a great success despite some early snafus. The story is that several weeks before our visit, I called Invited Home to confirm our reservation and found that due to a scheduling error, they had double booked the last night of our stay. Though this could have been a real disaster (given that nearly everything in town was booked for the Bluegrass festival), Invited Home found us another place for the last night and agreed to waive the rent and the cleaning fee. Initially, they found us a place in Mountain Village, but the day before we were due to move, a place opened up in the River Club in town. As moving our stuff on our last day in Telluride was the LAST thing we wanted to do, Invited Home sent over a small army of folks to ensure that the move went smoothly. Well done, Invited Home.
Now, for the Powder Daze.... this is a very comfortable 3 BR condo situated right on Cornet creek. The condo is on the third floor. There is another condo on the second floor. A single covered parking space is available.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Powder Daze and liked the condo better than the much swankier place at the River Club. It was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The living room had a lovely view of the ski slope to the south and Ajax peak (I think) to the East. Sunsets were a pleasure.
The Master BR has a king size bed and a master bath. The only downside of the Master BR is that there is a little noise from the restaurant ("There") that is next door.
The second bedroom has a full or queen bed. The window is right over Cornet creek and the sound of the creek at night was just lovely. The third bedroom has two twin beds and worked well for our son. There was an additional bathroom for the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. All beds were comfortable, albeit a bit on the soft side.
During our stay, we requested a few things from Invited Home (ie: to turn up the temperature of the hot water heater) and they responded quickly. A previous comment indicated that the jets in the hot tub did not work. We initially thought the same until the maintenance guy showed us that a little white rubber button (and not the obvious dials) controlled the jets. The jets do work, but are pretty weak.
All in all, we had a great stay and would definitely consider returning. Thanks to invited home for finding an adequate solution to a very sticky scheduling issue.
