About Thea

I am Italian and I have been living in this beautiful area for almost 40 years. I know it very well since I have been working in the local tourism industry for 25 years and will be happy to provide you with all the information you may need to have a great vacation! I am not going to be present during your stay but will be available via phone, e-mail or text. I have 2 large dogs who stay in the property sometime when there are no guests. Please feel free to contact me with any question. Although I am fluent only in English and Italian I will be able to exchange written communications also in German, French, Spanish and Portuguese. I am a nature lover and, if you are too, I can give you suggestions for hikes and excursions around this area. My dogs are my best friends and I understand the importance to share a vacation with them. If you are a responsible dog owner and your pet is well behaved, both of you are going to really enjoy the house!

Why Thea chose The Bay Area

My husband and I bought this property 20 years ago and put a lot of work in it to make it spacious and comfortable. His green thumb and artistic nature transformed a yard of gravel and cement in a lush garden with trees, shrubs and flowers everywhere. Although the property is located very close to the city we love the tranquility of this area and the proximity to beaches, forests and mountains. A very relaxing place without crime, noise and pollution.

What makes this house unique

This is the perfect place to relax and rest after a fun filled day of sightseeing and exploring the magnificent region with all its amenities,

This place just feels like home. Nice comfortable furnishings, very well-equipped kitchen with newer appliances, wonderful gardens, and a playground and dog park just out the back gate. Walking distance to a wonderful grocery and great coffee. Easy to and from the city. Don't hesitate!

Perfect place for Bay Area relaxtion

  • 5 of 5

This property was perfect for our needs (2 families with kids). The owner provided a high chair and pack n play, very helpful for us since we drove up. Updated bathroom and kitchen made everything simple and seamless. The best feature, though, is the tranquil and spacious backyard with park access for the kids. We will definitely be staying here again!

Beautiful suburban retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the huge, private backyard located next to a playground! The owner had 2 bottles of wine and a nice personalized note waiting for us upon our arrival. The location was perfect for our itinerary and we felt very safe. We would love to return soon!

Just What we Needed

  • 5 of 5

if you're looking for a relaxing escape this is the place.

After a long day of traveling we were greeted by a friendly note and a good bottle of Pinot Noir, and another bottle of Pinot Grigio in the fridge! We loved the feel of the home and enjoyed returning to it after exploring during the day.

Coming from Texas we were a little concerned that the house didn't have A/C but there are plenty of windows in every room to create a relaxing breeze perfect for afternoon naps. A heatwave came through a few days before and Thea graciously went out and bought tower fans for the rooms just in case. The back yard garden oasis is perfect for reading or snoozing in the hammock. Out the back gate, similar to the 'Secret Garden' door, is a huge gated neighborhood park perfect for letting your kiddos burn some energy. Overall, the neighborhood is very quiet and we never felt unsafe.

We loved the proximity to the GGB and honestly loved exploring the Mill Valley and surrounding areas more than SF itself. We hope to return soon and hopefully get to stay even longer.

TL;DR - Excellent Host, Beautiful House, Great Location

wonderful place to stay. Every aspect of the property was great as advertised

  • 5 of 5

As advertised the place was warm and cozy and roomy. Updated kitchen and bathroom. Great openness and all amenities were as good as advertised. Thea made sure that every appliance, plate, cooking utensils, etc was available and in good working order. The gardens around the peroperty were groomed and was nice to see all of the birds around it, the flowers blooming and peaceful environment. Nothing else but spectacular!
