A slice of heaven on Earth.
So beautiful that there is no proper words to describe the views. And the quiet is my favorite part. The mallard ducks made daily visit as well a heron. We did see Vergil and his wife down the dirt road, awesome people. We took many day trips to Camden, Bar Harbor, Arcadia Park as well Cadillac mountain and another that gave views of the Midcoast. There's to many places to mention and it's undinable stunningly gorgeous. I cried when it time to leave and will truly miss the state of Maine and all the people. God bless to all. Thank you Josh and Vanessa for all you do. With much love to Cove Cottage.
Thank you Susan. I’m so glad you had a wonderful vacation. I hope you’ll be able to stay at Cove Cottage again next summer.
Womderful cottage and amazing location
Cottage was wonderfully comfortable, views were spectacular and the yard was so dog friendly. Both two and four legged guests had a great vacation!
Simple, easy, quiet place to relax and enjoy
Had a wonderful stay at Vanessa's little gem on the cove. Quiet and peaceful, if you don't mind visits by chipping squirrels, turkey, porcupine, osprey, and a seal. That darn seal only surfaced once and must have headed back out of the cove, because we never saw it again for a photo. Seavey Cove is situated well away from any boat traffic, so your days out on the deck are nice and quiet for reading or whatever; our Corgi also enjoyed her adventures. The property is basic, but everything you need or want is there. The only improvement I think would be to raise the shower head for taller folks ;there's no TV reception (a DVD player to watch a selection of movies), and no Wifi , however we were able to get a data signal with Verizon. All in all, everything was doable. and enjoyable. Be sure to visit the Marshall Point Lighthouse. We spoke with the owner by phone during our stay, and she was most accommodating. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.
The cottage has an excellent location. It is great for kayaking as it is easy to get in the water from the property. Incredible opportunity to see bald eagles up close while kayaking maintaining a distance enough to not disturb them.
The cabin has bare necessities but is comfortable, the way it should be.
The owners are extremely responsive and professional.
Late season vacation
The cottage is at a beautiful site. The location is good for taking day
trips to see some amazing scenery. We spent five days essentially
off the grid and loved it. No TV so we had a wonderful break from
network news overload. We had a NOAA Weather Radio and had
good reception otherwise lived technology free.
Since we were traveling technology free we found it difficult to find our
way around at first. A problem was that some restaurants and parks were beginning to close for the season. Also, a bridge was being replaced on 73 blocking the backway to South Thomason and
Rockland. We eventually found a local map...old fashion paper variety... at the General Store at Port Clyde. It would have been nice to find
some local information such as restaurant menus and locations at the cottage.
Scheduling our stay at the cottage was easy to do with Vanessa
and the VRBO website. We are happy with our experience.
Beautiful Place to stay!
My wife and I had an incredible time staying here for our first Anniversary! The cottage is in an absolutely beautiful location and truly feels like you have your own cove. We enjoyed watching the lobster boats each morning and the harbor view as the sun rises is beautiful. The location is great, offering plenty of privacy while still offering proximity to nearby towns and dining/shopping/hiking etc... We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone!
