Jim and Leah purchased this home to have lots of room for grandchildren and extend family in the future when they retire. The home was built in 1938 as a vacation home and belonged to the same family until it was recently sold. They have restored most of the home in keeping with the original bones yet it has all the modern conveniences for comfort. Some of the original antique furnishing are placed through out and you truly have the feeling of old world Florida beach house.

They have a daughter living in Central Florida and everyone loves to come to the beach and stay overnight and be spoiled. The location is perfect for relaxing and walking to the beach or down town Flagler Ave for a bite to eat then listen to a local band. The grandchildren also love the playground and freedom to run and and play.
Morning always start with Jim and Leah sitting on the front porch enjoying their morning cup of Java while the grandchildren sleep in after a day at the beach. Once everyone is awake the fun begins. This is the perfect home to play in the large yard and have a cookout for lunch. Then go the the playground and the beach. Bonding and memories are made, everyone has space to relax, spend time together and have fun.
We enjoyed our stay at as always in New Smyrna Beach. Its a very nice little town to visit. Lucille, welcomed us , and was very helpful with anything that we needed. Although, we didn't need to much of anything. We stayed on the second floor of the house and found it very clean and tidy. We would definitely stay there again.!
We had the upper part of the house. My first impression of the place was that it smelled so clean! This place was perfect for us. We utilized the kitchen everyday. It was only a five minute walk to the beach. It was also close to shops and restaurants but not so close that it was noisy. Very quiet street and nice neighbors. We loved this place. The owners are extremely nice to work with.

This was a really great stay. The apartment where we stayed, the second floor of the cottage, is perfect for anyone who wants the traditional feel of a stay at the beach. It's not huge and has some little dormer ceilings in places but the two bedrooms had great windows, lots of light, always a breeze if you wanted, and a private sitting area/porch right outside your door. Seriously close to the beach, literally less than a block away! If you want fabulous and a little funky this is great. Also, plenty of hot water, really clean, wifi and good tv.
I am a very discriminating guest. In a city I stay at the -Carlton or the Hilton but at the beach this is my choice! Thanks Luci and Rich, I'm sure we'll see you again. OH - I forgot to mention the rate is so reasonable it left lots more spending money for shopping!
Just spent a lovely week in New Smyrna Beach w/my daughter and grand kids. This 2b1b rental was only a block away from the beach and playground. The house had minimal items in it, so we didn't have to worry w/kids curiosities and it was easy to clean. Nice car port which we used as roofed porch for afternoon rains. The house was clean on arrival. The little laundry house in back was very convenient. Lucy, the manager, lived nearby, and was extremely helpful if we needed anything: beach toys, Bogie boards, pizza pans, extra keys. It would have been nice to have had queen size beds rather than 2 doubles. There were 6 of us, 2 adults and 4 kids. We would have slept better w/bigger beds. We spent most our time at the beach and shopping. I would recommend this little beach house-Great location!
New Smyrna is one of the most beautiful beach-side communities in Central Florida on the Atlantic coast still unspoiled with lots to offer from art center, nature and wildlife areas, speedway, golf clubs, deep sea fishing, beach and surfing just to mention some. Two separate quaint villages, Flagler Ave and Canal St have great boutiques and gift stores for everyone in your group. Many restaurants and pubs for night life with local fresh cooked food and good old southern hospitality galore. Weekly events and festivals year round and lots of local music (never a cover charge) including summer free concerts in the park. All of this plus more just 60 miles from Orlando attractions, 10 miles from Daytona Speedway and 25 miles to Cape Canaveral.
