The apartment is located at the top floor of the Sea-U Guest House within a lush tropical garden along the seaside slopes of the village of Bathsheba on the east coast. This side of the Caribbean island of Barbados is the most natural side. Here you can enjoy unspoiled beaches, breathtaking views and mingle with locals. Hammocks strung lazily between coconut palms. Rolling waves of the Atlantic Ocean are breaking against massive limestone boulders. The sound of the sea together with a cooling breeze from the east let you leave the hassle and bustle far behind. Sea-U is a place for those who are looking for a decidedly significant change of pace from a busy life.

The guest house has altogether 10 rooms in 2 buildings. The here advertised unit is the 'Top Floor Apartment' located at the top floor of the Main House. There is a living room with connected kitchen, and double doors open to the patio where you can lounge. Antiques from around the world add to the cozy and stylish feeling of this apartment.

The over-sized mahogany king sleigh bed with natural latex mattress lets you rest in comfort. Your bathroom has a walk-in shower. And you may relax in your own private Jacuzzi after another exciting day in Barbados. In this suite, you will feel truly that you’ve found your “home away from home”.

About Uschi Wetzels

Uschi Wetzels, owner, manager and host at Sea-U fell in love with the Barbados East Coast, the village of Bathsheba and its friendly people, while working on a Barbados travel guide for the German Marco Polo series a few years ago. Based on visits to more than a dozen Caribbean Islands, she developed Sea-U's concept. Guests experience the relaxed atmosphere, magnificent ocean views and spacious, comfortable rooms.

Sea-U and its employees cater to the individual traveler. Having worked at a European resort has helped Uschi to better understand the various needs of her guests.

Built in 1998 and in operation since February 1999, Sea-U has attracted many visitors from all over the world. Guests have arrived from more than 30 countries and appreciate the concept. Occupancy is high, rates are affordable. Guests are returning and several are coming back every year. Often there are visitors from five different nations staying at this little place.

You will have the view and sounds of the Atlantic waves breaking on scenic rocks, and fisher boats in calmer waters at Tent Bay below. At night you may want to enjoy dinner under a clear sky with bright shining stars. There are plenty of cool breezes and ceiling fans. There are no phones or TVs in the rooms.

The cost to the traveler who enjoys the ocean view, is lower on the picturesque Atlantic side of the island than on the more crowded West and South coasts, which are not far away. Focus on marketing over the Internet allows Sea-U to offer real bargain rates to its guests.
