It has 12 foot ceilings, hard wood floors, Wi-Fi, cable, washer-dryer, complete kitchen with stainless steel appliances, queen size bed, shower-bath combo, queen size sofa sleeper, walk in closet, and brick patio garden off the bedroom. Guests are two blocks away from shopping, restaurants, grocery store, and the night life of Magazine Street. You will have your own private entrance. Have your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine in the courtyard.

We bought this property when it was blighted and abandoned. We meticulously restored it into our family home with all the modern amenities that we are use to, but also made sure to keep its historic and architectural integrity intact. We love our neighborhood because of its walk ability and all the historic homes surrounding us.

What makes this apartment unique

This one bedroom apartment is located two blocks from the bustling Magazine Street corridor in a peaceful tree lined section of Uptown. Convenient to everything New Orleans has to offer. Short walk to grocery store, pharmacy, bars, restaurants, shopping. Magazine street has a bus line and the historic New Orleans streetcar is 6 blocks away. Lushly landscaped backyard with courtyard is a perfect place to start your day with a cup a coffee or unwind with a glass of wine.

Very well maintained...immaculate cleanliness

Cute apartment in a great location!

We stayed at this property for two nights but wished we had booked it for another day or two. The apartment was lovely...clean, quiet and safe and in a good location. It was an easy walk (2 blocks) to Magazine Street and about six blocks to catch the St Charles Street car to the French Quarter ($1.25 per person, need exact change). We used Uber to return late after a concert and it was $13. Parking was easy (and free) on the street in front of the house.

Susan was a great host in responding quickly to any questions. We hope to come back to NOLA and stay here again.

Great place to stay

Stayed 4 nights while in New Orleans. Home is very clean and exactly as all the pictures show. Very quite neighborhood, far enough away from the noise of downtown, but close to many great restaurants and shops. Also, only a 10-15 min drive to downtown. This was our first visit to New Orleans, but if/when we come back, would certainly stay here again.

Great 1 bedroom on Laurel St

My wife and stayed here for 4 nights during the first weekend of Jazzfest. I loved the house and location is ideal. The owners are super nice and helpful. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. The kitchen and appliances are new and functional. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom was fine. AC worked well. We enjoyed having a beer in the shaded back yard. It is located in a great neighborhood, only 2 blocks to the shops and galleries on Magazine St. A great restaurant especially for brunch is only one block away.

I would love to stay here again.

Great Location at Magazine Street and Garden District

We had a great 4 night stay at this property. The location is walking distance to the beautiful homes in the garden district , as well as Lafayette Cemetery and many bars and restaurants. Two blocks away is the commuter bus stop and six blocks away is the St. Charles street car stop. Each is $3.00 for an all day pass to and from the French Quater. Susan and Jason were very hospitable and even recommended restaurants and attractions we could try. Hope to visit again in the future.

Wonderful, Clean, Spacious Rental

WOW! This was one of the best properties I have ever stayed at. Susan was very responsive when I had a question before we arrived and was quick to help us out with an internet issue on the day we arrived. We walked in to the home and was greeted by an extremely clean unit that was spacious, high ceilings, great kitchen, lovely bedroom and great bathroom. It was just a beautiful comfortable home which really helped during our lounging around time. And it was so clean! We tried to keep it as clean and orderly as possible, which is hard when you're a girl with long hair that sheds like I do. Parking was very easy, we had rented a vehicle and was able to park either right in front of the house or across the street. We loved the keyless entry which meant one less key to worry about. When we spent time at the French Market, we took a Lyft, typically costing us around $10.00 + tip. The house was also walkable to great restaurants and shops on Magazine St. Easy access to the highway meant our days for driving out of the city simple and straightforward for those less familiar with New Orleans. This is a quiet neighborhood with little noise in the evening, we always slept peacefully. The neighbors were all very nice and always greeted us when they saw us. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come back to New Orleans. Which I hope will be soon!
