The Old Cape Cod features three upstairs bedrooms and one downstairs. There are five beds in total. The entire home, from the foundation up through the roof was faithfully renovated in 2013. The backyard is large and provides plenty of room for children, BBQs, a pet, or just just relaxing with friends. There is a large cedar outdoor shower and cedar deck. And best of all you are steps from the pristine waters of Orient Harbor, across the street from the Oysterponds Historical Society, and a one minute walk to the absolutely wonderful Orient General Store. Golfing, fishing, sailing, swimming, visiting wineries or museums, or just relaxing in peace and quiet - the Old Cape Cod is a great home base.

This house on Village Lane in Orient is lovely. It was carefully and lovingly restored some 5 years ago by Michael and his wife, the current owners. Though attractively furnished throughout, it is a truly welcoming home. Everything you need is in the kitchen, from an array of sharp knives to Calphalon pans. And next to the kitchen, which has a rustic table that will accommodate a few, is an inviting formal dining room. The backyard, which has some pretty plantings, is just right for toddlers and youngsters to romp in. The two thermostats keep upstairs and downstairs cool. Michael is quick to respond and help with any questions you may have. And you are a three minute walk from the Orient Country Store, where salads, sandwiches, and divine baked goods are available. This is a house that suits its inviting verdant and peaceful location perfectly.
Thank you for your kind feedback. And so happy you enjoyed yourself. We look forward to seeing you again.
Magnificent House and Stay
Orient is a true treasure. We spent childhood summers here and it was a family reunion to return after 40 something years. The house was spectacular and very comfortable. It felt like home. We didn't miss anything and everything was perfect. Thank you for a terrific opportunity to spend time in a magical place with loved ones.
A charming house in the loveliest town! Convenient to everything - beaches, parks, wineries, restaurants and shopping. Close to NYC, but feels like a million miles away. Truly, the perfect getaway.
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! And thank you for the kind words, much appreciated
Classic, beautiful house in very special location.
The house is spacious but cozy-feeling, on a beautiful street in the center of the village. The kids walked by themselves to the country store and back. We hiked the sound nearby, walked the rock beaches, found great sandwiches at Fork & Anchor, had great pizza and found lots of tasty oysters in Greenport. Mike could not have been a cooler host, attentive to our questions - and the place was spotless, with a turntable and great vinyl collection to boot.
Thank you so much for the kind words. So glad you enjoyed your stay. You are welcome anytime, and the vinyl collection has only just begun!
We enjoyed a wonderful week in Orient NY. Everything we could want or wish for was provided and then some. This is a very comfortable house in a lovely little village, near the water. The yard is a good size, surrounded by some beautiful flowers, a large tree with a swing, outdoor table and BBQ. Indoors was somehow a combination of a trip down memory lane with all the modern amenities, clean and bright too. The owner was available by text and responsive to all our needs. Thank you Michael!
I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay, and thank you for taking such great care of the house. Hope to see you again next year!
Fantasy Historic Vacation Home
My husband and I immersed ourselves in this lovely historic home and town. Lots of pretty
rooms and places for privacy in the home. The accommodations were wonderful with modern baths
and even 2 zone central a/c. The furnishings were right out of a design magazine with a mix
of modern comfy and antique fun...all quite liveable. Kitchen was old fashioned with
a table and chairs that looked out to front street and to pretty back yard that our
little dog loved. Walked the streets loaded with restored historic homes daily, went to
museum, and got companionship and goodies at country store daily where Dinah
and Miriam became delightful friends. Excellent lunches! Water everywhere and farms
picture book perfect. Owner, Mike Ventura was kind and made sure everything was
was taken care of for us. He is just the best! We will be back...again and again, I hope.
Allyson - Thank you for staying with us and taking such good care of the home. You will always be a welcome guest!
