About Jean Claude
I live on site in Las Terrenas, and am available to help you, for more information, excursions etc ....
Jean Claude purchased this Villa in 2009
Why Jean Claude chose Las Terrenas
I bought this property because she's located between sea and mountain, 150 m from the beach in the beautiful bay of Coson, all ready to Las Terrenas is a small town where I found everything I need, with its typical restaurants or the edge of continental Wed in Las Terrenas can find small colmados (typical local grocery stores) and even a large supermarket and buy a fish or lobster fishermen all day. I purchased this as property for Caribbean style buildings, for the safety of the residence for quiet, for its immense beach with virtually anyone, for its sun, its turquoise sea and its inhabitants always smiling and ready to help. There is a little paradise here!!
What makes this Villa unique
Why here? For these beautiful sunsets, to the turquoise blue ocean, for these people, for peace, for landscapes still wild seashore for the beautiful flowers and tropical plants, exotic fruits, green nature lush.

A Most Beautiful Property and Setting
Even though our flight was delayed and we arrived after midnight Jean Claude was waiting to show us the property. We stayed for the month of February and it was one of the best and enjoyable experiences one could have.
The Villa is mature with varieties of palm and numerous beautiful flowering plants and bushes. Many varieties of birds ,butterflies, and gekkos are in abundance.
All you need to bring is your clothing.
The kitchen is fully equipped and also a propane barbeque and drinking water is provided. We rented a car to go the @8Km into Las Terrenas for food and supplies but taxis or scooter rentals are available in town. The Villa , bungalow, and pool are well cared for and any time any issue arose such as propane or water refill they were handled immediately
One can eat at the nearby resort but it is a totally higher level of cost. A short drive or a walk north along the beach are beach "restaurants" which are very rustic with local food. We mostly did our own cooking.
The ocean beach at the villas is pure sand out hundreds of feet into the ocean and wonderful for children..
The sunsets on the ocean are to dream of.!!
We already miss Ave del Paraiso and Jean Claude , and hope to return .
Everything was as expected
We stayed at Jean Clauds place for 2 weeks and everything was as expected. The house is as on pictures and Jean Claude is great host
Thanks to Samo and all his family for coming to the villa Ave del Paraiso.
I recommend this family very friendly to any other owner. Respect, kindness, cleanliness are also their main quality.
They can come back when they want!
Nice house but poor and very basic equipping
The house is nice, the garden is splendid and the owner Jean Claude tried hard to help us with several problems we had during our stay (four nights).
When we arrived, he explained us that the toilet flushing of the master bedroom was not working, bad luck, but all the toilets has difficulties with the flushing.
On the First evening we had to call the owner to fix the terrace lightning, which did not work.
The fittings were broken, no way to fix the shower and the tap of the toilet broke apart. The owner came on the third day and fixed it.
The kitchen utensils were quite basic and the stove was working only partially.
Worth thing, it was not clean at all, dirt over the fridge and under the beds. All utensils were greasy and we had to clean before using them.
I complained with the owner on the second day in the morning, but nothing happened.
Bottomline: Nice House, Beautifull setting, poor equipping with very basic quality and not clean.
We stayed at this villa for 5 days. there was 10 of us. You can't ask for a better host than Jean Claude. The 2 houses on the property were in perfect order. Than fauna surrounding the property was beautiful. we will be back to this Villa. highly recommended. merci Jean Claude.
It is with pleasure that I will receive you for a new stay in the villa and its bungalow "Ave del Paraiso".
Thank you for enjoying my property. Any other traveler will be welcome.
We stayed at the property 3 days with our 3 boys and in laws. It was amazing! Jean Claude met us with a very warm welcome, his attention to detail is spot on from the flowers on the beds to having the basics for our arrival, water, coffee, ice and a bottle of local rum. The main house was so inviting and comfortable and very clean. The seperate bungalow worked out perfect for my in laws who could have there own space when needed. The grounds are so well kept that you are truly in paradise. We all enjoyed the pool at all times of the day and late night and the short walk to the beach was worth it. We went at various times durning the day and even went for a night swim, And it was very safe. The house was so well equipped that we were able to cook all meals at the house. Loved this property so much can't wait to return.
Wonderful Stay in Peaceful and Convenient Villa
We stayed at The Ave Del Paraiso from Wed 2/17/16-2/21/16 and it was fabulous. When we arrived late late at night, Jean Claude, the owner was there to graciously greet us at 130am with keys, a firm handshake, and a quick tour of the facility. When we pulled in to the cute driveway it was pretty magical, with the tropical night sounds and colorful lush landscaping. The pool isn't olympic size but it is high style all the way- it was romantic and also secluded. Great for a late night swim wink wink.
The villa was clean, comfortable, easy, everything worked, and was great. There was enough clean drinking water to last through our entire trip which was fantastic because I thought that we'd have to venture into town early in the morning before coffee to find some cases of agua- not so! That was a huge plus for me personally. It's really steps from the beach and, for a property not ON the beach, I think it's really a great distance away because it's sort of just the right amount of walking to get you excited and build some suspense on your way without making your "bag shoulder" start to hurt; it's very close.
Some things to point out: the town of Las Terrenas isn't your typical "tourist" town by any means. It's for the locals so it's not a great place to bring your wife to shop around for the afternoon. There are 2 supermercados there and my insider tip is: ask about the nicer one (forgot the name) that's not Supermercado Lindo. Both are totally great but one is really nice :) Another thing worth mentioning and most people will experience this coming from both the Samana or Santo Domingo airports- about 10-15 minute drive from the villa up into the mountains on road 133 that takes you towards the airports there are amazing vistas of the northern Coast of DR. I didn't have much time to explore but nature lovers, hikers and picture takers alike will really love it. Just the fact that the mountains are right there isn't a given in every beach resort area.
Finally, the villa is part of an enclosement/development called Villas Las Nomadas which has security at the front and security patroling as well. It feels very safe and is a nice respite from the sometimes frenetic driving scene through the surrounding local towns in the DR. It's a place I would have felt comfortable having my young toddler child (he didn't join on this trip) and that's very important.
If ever back in DR, I would absolutely stay there again. What a great place!
Ideally situated 150 m from a beautiful beach lined with coconut palms, the heart of a luxurious gated by guards day and night. You can enjoy the swimming pool which extends the terrace of the villa or swimming in the turquoise blue ocean.
You can eat on the beach, a restaurant (Océan Grill) adjoining the residence, or in the many large and small local restaurants in Las Terrenas, including the fishing village, which transforms into nightlife with bars and nightclubs.
You can enjoy various leisure activities such as excursions (El Limon waterfall on horseback, coffee road quad 4 wheel, National Park Los Haiti by boat .... etc), or practice different water sports or sports.
To move you can use taxi, car or moto concho or rent bike, car or quad (bike or 4 wheel).
