Why Marie chose Port Angeles

We feel in love with Port Angeles in 2009 and found a home that let us connect with the sea. We love watching all the activity in the Straits and have a little group of deer that love to lounge in the yard. The Port Angeles Community is vibrant with many weekend festivals throughout the summer and the Olympic Peninsula offers unlimited opportunities for hiking and exploring. Art is alive from downtown sculptures and galleries to the Fine Arts Museum and Webster's Woods.

We hope you enjoy your stay and come to love the North Olympic Peninsula as much as we do.

Wonderful cottage with a great view.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is well equiped, immaculate and has a wonderful view across the Straits of Juan de Fuca. It was the perfect place for a long weekend getaway for our group of women. It's close to the ferry to Victoria, Hurricane Ridge and other attractions in the area. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

Charming, beautiful and friendly.

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of four, mama, papa and two children from Switzerland. We stayed at Marie’s guest cottage this summer and Fall for 6 weeks. Our stay was nothing less than charming and delightful, every day. You might think this a bit of an exaggeration with two children 9 and 11 years old but to our own amazement it was indeed a really pleasant stay every single day we were there. Of course, it helped that we were very fortunate to have incredibly beautiful weather every day we were there. But I think even with inclimate weather this cottage would be just as cozy and pleasant for a long stay or even a couple of days.

Marie is as pleasant a person as one could hope to meet. She wasn’t just polite, business like friendly but genuinely warm and ever so accommodating. The cottage had everything we needed and we made home cooked dinners often while we were there. The kitchen we found to be well equipped and if there was anything we needed that wasn’t there Marie was ever so available and made us feel no request was unwelcome. Marie lives next door but was never in anyway at any time intrusive. You could not ask for a better host.

If Marie’s friendly manner was not enough then I can’t say enough about the incredible neighbors we had. One neighbor invited us to a most delightful Pot/Luck /Party one evening, we had a really wonderful time. While another neighbor often gave us fresh fruit (I think from her garden) for our children and really went out of their way to make us feel so welcome and at home.

It is a quite peaceful neighborhood, far enough out of Port Angeles proper so as to not be disturbed by the city lights and such but close enough to get to the Safeway in ten minutes or so. The cottage offers a fantastic view of the Strait with the Lights from Victoria Canada so beautiful in the distance every night. Neighborhood deer came around often to our children’s delight, we have a million pictures. We could not recommend the place more. No doubt where we will be staying our next trip to Port Angeles Washington

Great Place!

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay! Location is perfect - quiet residential area with great views. Easy access to Olympic National Park and the waterfront. Property was very clean and well maintained. Kitchen was well stocked with basic cooking supplies. Only downside, and it's very small, is that the provide home wifi network didn't work well. No worries though, cell data was fine.

Very comfortable home. Perfect location. Great view. Marie the owner introduced herself which was very nice. Marie let us know that if there was anything we needed to let her know. We will be looking forward to staying there again in the future with our next trip to Port Angeles. Thank you for the wonderful visit Marie.
