A beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in a convenient location. Nice back yard and porch. Original double shotgun house built in the 1800s, totally rebuilt in 2014 to incorporate 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, each with private entrance. It is a slice of Parisian comfort in New Orleans, with an emphasis on local art. Walking distance to highly reviewed restaurants Jacques Imo's & Boucherie, also Maple Leaf Bar (live music), Cowbell Restaurant, Rue de la Course Coffee Shop, Breads on Oak, and other Oak Street shops & restaurants, and to the Carrollton street car line. Close to Tulane and Loyola Universities, Audobon Park and Zoo. Minutes to the French Quarter, Casinos and River.
My daughter is a Tulane student, and I wanted a second home close by. I fell in love with the neighborhood and this house. I've completely redone the house to reflect my memories of Paris and the French country homes. It is my home when I am in New Orleans, and I'd love to share it with you when I am not here.
The Owner purchased this house in 2013
This is a beautiful original double shotgun home, built in the 1800s. It has been completely rebuilt to its new comfort and beauty with the highest standards. I've loved getting to know the neighborhood. Walk to Oak Street, have a drink and amazing food at Jacques Imo's, a New Orleans legend. Maple Street Pub has live music almost every night. Oak Street Bistro and Bar has wonderful food and an amazing wine / beer menu. The neighborhood is a wonderful mix of old and new. We have neighbors who have lived here all their lives, and others who young professionals, doctors, artists and musicians, giving the neighborhood a new spirit.
We loved our stay at the Parisian luxury home. There were 6 of us, and the house offers plenty of room to spread out and retain privacy. The house is in excellent condition and is immaculate inside. The outdoor porch and backyard offer a great place to relax. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen for a few meals, and the house is convenient to get to all other attractions in NOLA. Suzy is an excellent host with quick response time, and she provides detailed information for smooth check-in and check-out.
Our family always looks forward to coming back! Highly recommend!!
Everything was great. Too many pluses to list. The host was quick to respond and stayed in close communication. The property is unique and very relaxing. This property sets the bar very high. Best VRBO experience yet!!
Friendly neighbors, beautifully done interior spaces, comfortable and private. Our second stay at La Petite Madison was as wonderful as the first.
We stayed in Suzy's home over Memorial Day for my husband's 50th birthday. The home is spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The patio was shady and perfect for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails. It is in walking distance of several good restaurants with a traditional New Orleans flair. Suzy is great to work with and very helpful in making our stay perfect.
Conveniently located off Carrollton (street car line), 2 blocks from trendy Oak Street. Close to Tulane and Loyola University.
